Imc really needs to release these merchandise to the western audience while some of us still care about the game. Also could help with marketing and getting the game seen by more ppl.
What are those wooden boxes for? Cellphone case? Glasses case? Does it contain anything? Is the item inside RGN?

Merchandise would be the only possible way of income that is completely unrelated to the games success or not, be it selling art books, plushies, Soundtrack CDs or that other stuff.
But well, it’s IMC, what do you expect? Their marketing strategies failed to handle the consumers they attracted (although they knew the roughly estimated amount of customers because of the early access numbers) and they fail marketing the game with stuff that is not related to ingame stuff.
The artwork alone could earn them hundreds of thousands of dollars if they sold the Maggy artwork as posters(or shirt covers, maybe with a QR code on the backside to promote the game on the streets), combined with addtional money spawned from selling e.g. TOS smart phone shells&cases, handheld skins (e.g. for the New Nintendo 3DS or PS Vita), bags, t-shirts, mugs and whatever things that can find their ways manyfold into our daily lifes.
Japan alone could’ve made them rich by selling e.g. goddess nendroid lincenses (who wouldn’t want himself a cute nendroid version of the goddesses of TOS?) or figurine licenses.
All in all,they’ve missed the most chances to earn big money already by not using the hype to create a lot of additional income with merchandise. And they still do. A lot of people would buy that stuff even if they aren’t playing TOS.
The risks of failure are close to 0 if I look at the decent quality of the merchandise showcased there and the possible outcome of cooperating with Japanese companies to create and market them.
If they team up with Goodsmile to make nendoroid versions of our own characters, I’ll buy 1 for every single one of my characters, even if it cost 120usd per nendoroid. :3
