McPunch, Monk Build

How does this Build look? I want to go Monk, but I was also thinking about supporting while doing dmg.
So I could drop Dievdirby for Priest and add Revive or other skills. Becuase Monk is STR class I try to avoid using too much INT based skills. Is there too much of everything on Monk? should I concentrate on fever skills?

Dat kamehameha though…

Can I get fries with that? Diet coke.

Yeah i think it’s better to concentrate on fever skill for the monk.

Is it because of SP management? More skills mean you can do more stuff in short time right?

@lajkonikes
We offer kicks at McPunch with increased price!

And here I thought monks dont have foot based attacks, now that right there makes you unique! ^^ +1

I think this is how they design the Rank:
Rank 1: Cleric (INT)
Rank 2: Priest (SPR) | Krivis (STR)
Rank 3: Bokor (AGI) | Diedirby (CON)
– two stats classes —
Rank 4: Sadhu (INT/AGI) | Paladin (INT/CON)
Rank 5: Pardoner (INT/SPR) | Monk (INT/STR)
— main classes, more versatile in stats —
Rank 6 - 8

In your case, consider Krivis for INT/STR stats. As for Priest skills, I believe either your party will expect you to heal (which may not work very well with C1 Priest), or they will actually find a Priest. If they actually go to find a Priest, then your skills are redundant. As for soloing, you can buy Blessing from spellshop, which is good for Pardoner.

I’m pretty sure Bokor is SPR/INT class (like most classes that have summons one way or another), with more tendency to SPR.
Krivis is INT, but in its Circle 2, with the availability of Divine Stigma, it opens up STR build with it. So it’s INT/STR to me
Paladin is another class that’s leaning more towards SPR for me, with all those magical defense on top of its skill as well. Also can be build with STR and CON in mind.

Lastly, there’s no such thing as AGI in ToS.

INT will be required at some point, since it is under Cleric tree. Eg. Priest scales with INT + SPR in linear, so either works the same in scaling.
Bokor as I heard it could be AGI. Regardless, the balance is not set, it may change, but I think that design makes sense for combining skills in later stage.

As for AGI, there is 5 stats. You can call DEX or what ever, it controls evasion and hit point (if you just want to be picky). This is the reference for using the term AGI: http://toswiki.treeofsaviorgame.com/mechanic/stat

How does these look? Ether statues for SP managment and buffing, or Krivis buffing

I’d only recommend 2 monk builds at this point tbh:

Cleric1, Krivis3, Monk 2, akin to http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/woqzw3378a/

Zalciai and Divine stigma are quite powerful at rank 3, Aukuras isn’t that good granted but at least it’s extra healing.

Every monk build needs energy blast imo, it’s just that good. Palm strike is a very solid high dmg low cd aoe and 1 inch is just a good single target skill. God finger flick costs money and can’t really compete with 1 inch.
Double punch is the standard spammable skill, can’t go wrong with that either.
I left out iron skin/golden bell since they’re channel skills anyway. Plus you should be relatively sturdy already.

Or;
Cleric, Priest3, Monk2 akin to http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/y8jmnd7e3t/

For a more defensive variant due to aspersions +40% def and stone skin. I’m not sure which is currently the best dps option between monstrance, blessing and sacrament though.

Same monk stuff as above.

Anything else has a hard time competing with the buffs of priest3/krivis3 or competes with monk for circles 5/6 spots. Sure dievdirby isn’t half bad with it’s cd reduction but monks already have a low cooldowns for most skills.

That and since the divine might nerf i’m just not a fan of cleric2 for non int builds.

Thanks for the insight. Energy Blast is so hot ■■■■ anyway. But it will be sad if they nerf DM, able to buff skills by 5 is awesome.

I have faith that they will buff Cleric, as I see other C3 base class skills are rather useful, except for Cleric.
Cleric 3 -> Krivis/Diev -> Monk C2 is another option.
Diev is mainly for the warp, and the reduce cooldown can be handy.

About the second one, could you give some insight of your choices on the priest circles? I’ve heard Monstrance at 1 is enough. If I were to play in a party with a Wizard and a Swordsman, could I take some points from monstrance and put them in Mass Heal to have more heals for everybody? What stats distribution are you going with this one?

I’m not entirely sure yet. I want to test out most the priest skills in the upcoming beta to decide on that firsthand.

Either way monstrance increases in aoe size based on skill lvl. 15 circles is probably overkill but 1 is likely to litte.
Also depends on if the dex bonus actually scales with skill lvl.

For now i’d say put 5 in monstrance, 10 in mass heal and the 1 left over anywhere but blessing.

So how does the Sadhu work with its out of body experience? I mean, high attack speed, able to use skills and such with the spirit body right? isn’t that kind of neat?

Your body will have 0 defense. When your body got attacked, you will go back to your body.
This is why many discussion combining with safety wall, fear or other skills to protect your body. Basically you sacrifice all your defense for offense. And in PvP, people kind of know how to counter that, which means your next class may want to address this weakness.

I am not surprised the scaling will change, but it is good to know what kind of skill you are getting.
Do you believe skills are powerful enough at C1 on release end-game?

Hi I was reading through your thread and Wurmheart gave 2 recommendations for monk builds, namely:

Cleric 1 - Krivis 3 - Monk 2: http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/woqzw3378a/

and

Cleric 1 - Priest 3 - Monk 2: http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/y8jmnd7e3t/

Which are both excellent builds. I am thinking of going for either one of them but I can’t decide which one. I would like a full DPS PVX Monk. Which do you think is better between the 2 builds above damage-wise? Thanks in advance!

Well all the damaging skills have a passive which increase the damage by 1% par attribute so yeah, leveling them it’s not too much about the level but about the CD and duration in my opinion. Unless they scale really well in damage too.

Thanks for build. But what about Stats?
Im Krivis 1 cirlce and aim on STR\SPR for monk
