Make current exp rates the default

That is why I love the exp rates right now. It gives me what Im looking for - the feeling of progression.

I have my second character stuck on level 80 then I stopped, but they implemented exp event, I tried to continue, hence the original post. It was because I was able to progress on my worst nightmare of doing the exp wall pre-86 again and actually overcoming it the second time with less stress and boredom that is why I’ve posted this topic. :stuck_out_tongue:

Exactly. The rates back there were demotivating as hell. Not everyone has the mindset to play like a robot consantly hunting down a mob over, and over and over again.

It can be fun when done for a few levels, but we don’t want to see the daily Demon Prison grind every day for six months’ worth of leveling, do we?

I think this is what everyone is looking for, progression at a decent pace! I feel like i’m just now hitting the grind wall around 150-160 where kills are not even giving me 0.1% anymore, even with the double exp rates, which is pretty disappointing considering i’m not even 1/3rd through the whole game yet.

that depends on who you talk to. I think this exp rate would be ridiculous as a default rate. It makes no sense for me to be double the recommended lvl of the maps before im even done all the quests on them. Later its not double but im still like 10 lvls ahead of the maps i should be on.

rather than increasing the exp earned i would rather see them find some sort of middleground and a pretty linear exp progression, by that i mean, say 1-100 would be pretty fast, after that it slows down sure, but say 150-160 would be about as fast as 550-560, if they can find a balance somewhere so exp never feels slow, but still not too easy i think that would be the best.

im just very scared that the exp rate will end up being too fast, which isnt good either

Where are you right now/questline/level just want to have a different perspective

Bec I am currently playing my alt on level 94 and its just right currently.

I started playing on lvl 80 when they implemented the exp event. I was grinding to reach the proper level bec I was doing a level 86-90 quest on level 80. I am grinding to catch up to lessen the penalty. The exp event helped me to be on a proper level.

If they can balance it out, that would be great.
I myself admits the negative implication of too much high exp. But as I said, considering the nuisance in progression and leveling, I would prefer the rates.

But if there are other alternative to this that would eliminate the feeling of being stuck and unrewarding, I bet it would be the best.

on the character i made after the exp event i am at 117 on owl burial ground which i believe is recommended lvl 108 or 109. And im sure by the time im done it ill be 118 or more.

oh i see!

If that is the case, maybe there is a different implication depending on what part of exp curve a person is in, since I was near the wall it benefited me just right, not too extreme.

And your level is in-between walls (near the easier leveling phase which is after a wall and mid phase before a wall) which doesn’t put that too much stress on grinding and exp gain compare to being 3-5 levels before a wall, that is why you leveled up too far from the recommended level.

But considering you still have all your cards, that was really quite a boost in exp. @.@

Anyway, thanks for the info. Would make an update when I arrived on the same level.

O.o am i the only that never found a grind wall at level 80-85? On my first char i didnt do the level 50 dungeon(not even once) and all i did was follow the main quest line>gytis settlement area>baron allerno>royal maousoleum 1f-3f>aquaduct bridge>tenants farm>royal mausoleum 4f-5f and that got me to level 86. Then grinded on steele road/tenants farm till 90 then abused the dungeon till 107

Nope i had no problem during that section other then not noticing the maps above the town right away had to look a little to find them.

I agree, this should be default. Remember they want 600 levels in this game. We should be able to reach rank 6 pretty quickly so we can have fun with our class combinations, rather than slog through the beginning with limited skillsets.

People have to keep in mind too that they will need something to make money aswell, with the current exp rate there would be no appeal to buying exp booster, and if people did they’d have a 12x exp bonus, thats just ridiculous.

The faster people reach max level the shorter the lifespan of a game, unless they have the most amazing endgame features, which ToS does not have at this time
