I’ve played around for quite a while (both in the KR CBT and these CBTs), and I have to completely agree that these Exp rates are much more favorable.
Thing is, Grinding can happen and it is fun when done right. To make grinding right, you have to feel progression. It’s very hard and unwelcoming to see your ‘progression’ as having to hunt down mobs for an hour and get one level when you know there are hundreds more levels to come.
Back in the KR CBT it was even worse because there wasn’t dungeons, so we were forced to find some spots and sit down there for countless hours just to get past some exp curves (my pre-level 87 experience was the WORST.)
Coincidentally, some days after (when I was around 100ish or so) they activated a 3x exp event (from exp cards too nonetheless!) and the game actually became much more enjoyable? Since the exp rates were pretty lowish, progress felt much better and I didn’t feel ‘stuck’.
You guys have to remember that the whole game, including grinding, should be fun and entertaining and not some mindless chore just to see an exp bar grow.
Since there will be 500-600 levels in the whole game, we have to keep in mind two things:
A) that if the leveling pace we see now feels dull, then in 300 more levels it might be a nightmare.
B) that not everyone has the patience/time to grind, yet they also want to enjoy the game as a whole (not just the earlygame, but also the later parts. Think level 450 and higher.)
C) that we don’t know what IMC plans on doing with the rates once more levels are released.
So really, we have to be very mindful when saying these exp rates should be shortened. The game has a LOT more to offer - just look at how big the world map is.
We want to see new maps and new content so we can have a fun experience everytime we play. I don’t know about you guys but having to stare at a single spot that I will have to be grinding over and over for several weeks - like some people want the exp rates to be once we reach higher levels - then game experiences will feel quite dull, very quickly.
