I still feel devs should pay attention to dps mages and need to buff it we are getting outclass by almost all the dps classes. But of cause support mages pretty strong as it is like linker and stuff
Haven’t gotten to lvl 2XX so can’t comment on that… But I do hope mages gets stronger, cause the first 4 ranks is just… tottaly meh. We play tree of sitting on bonfire or tree of poting all your silver away and now you’re poor and can’t afford ■■■■, or tree of holy ■■■■ I blew my cooldowns so lets run in circles for 17 seconds cause my autos just suck.
I see a bunch of archers coming, and they just blow everything, it almost seems like they can one shot everything in sight with 0 downtime. Or a cleric/krivis doing ridiculous AoE damage and sustaining himself with 0 downtime, or a swordie just auto attacking and face tanking everything with 0 downtime. And then you see a bonfire and 5 wiz sitting there just waiting for sp to refill.
So yeah, I do hope it gets useful later on to make up for all my lost time just waiting near a bonfire.
CON (Constitution)
Increases max HP by 85.
Increases HP recovery rate by 1.
Increases critical hit resistance by 1.
Increases weight limit by 5.
Increases shield block by 1 (Only when equipped with a shield.)

Hey high five buddy pretty much the same. Archer are just too good match them up with linker they could clear bunch of mob within secs. I was casting my eletrocute with quick cast half bar and they already clear it with linker and archer. That makes me wonder whats the point of being dps mage if u just need a linker and archer to clear every ■■■■ lol
Right, indeed they can’t cri (*1.5 damage is gone, but they will get it from quick cast anyway).
btw i hate archer too.

PvP. I think the trade off is that cleric tree have multiple AoE buff and abilities that can neutralize/reduce the effectiveness of magic damage. So wiz is stronger but can be countered.
While physical skills are harder to counter but have less impact.
So this would turn into rock paper scissor if it is balanced properly.
PvE. I think wiz is just straight up better (mostly because lv200+ mobs are better against physical). Most PvE wiz is just as effective in PvP too. This is purely because wiz is a more versatile as a tree. They don’t have many waste class in late level. While sword/archer both have alot of wasted class/skill as they become bad in late game. Essentially… all magic class (wiz/cleric) are versatile and don’t have wasted skill/class in late level.
I suppose this is why korean call it tree of magic.

i pretty much kill any class as cryo c3 psy c3 - with ease
had a duel vs a lv 215 archer - who went ranger c3 and fletcher c2 and he pretty much owned by just firing 2 skills and running away while i couldn do anything but watching my hp going down to zero by the bleed…i got heavy con build and basically died in 6-7 seconds by just 1 or 2 skills didn even pay attention cause he caught me by suprise with that crap xD thats what i call OP OP
you know Elemental’s attack is almost like pure damage. It doesn’t calculate properties attack with magic defense at all.It will be decrease when you have properties resistance(yes, paladin and gears). (buy some sarcrament buff and try on red name monster it’s almost pure).

To be excat just nerf archer lol they are just too strong 0 cast time with low cd skills and high damage output i cant find any weakness.
their weakness is block and they have low amount of hp.
(classes that can hit archer are archer and mage)
why we have sw class anyway?
bleeding and poison… yes, they are op too(but poison can be cure with antidote anyway so…) bleeding cannot appiled to you when you have plague doctor in your team(i mean bloodletting).
Why do they need high hp when u cant even touch them in the first place? All they gotta do is run and shoot you in your face. Their only weakness is just low mana but hey there is pot. Mages have 0 utility of replenishing mana except pot and 0 utility of having any defense mechanisim look at reflect shield that skill is a fking joke lol
when mages(full con) equip shield their block rate is rediculous. around 400block rate(almost block anything it’s like you have passive stone skin lv1).

It does, you need to equip a shield to see it.
There’s no need to have many skills and short cooldown if you can one-shot everything.
But overall, the main issue with mage vs world is that mage tree has too many CC, from sleep to ice to telekinesis.
Erm i think its the opposite… i got one shot by boss. And i cant one shot dungeon creeps… min 3 skills to kill it which is almost all my spells. Right now i have only 4 damage spell exclusding energy bot with all cd abv 30 sec
naw not really - zero shield is overpowered
you dont have a plague doctor all the time babysitting you tho - cant rely n other classes to be more or less effective - besides oracle is in my view the best supportive class ever - never wanna miss a day without an oracle by my side <3

but you said mages in general have 0 utility - you didn say “full pve focused dps mages” ofc they got 0 utility cause they focus on dps not being viable in pvp - if you choose to go that path than its the guys decision to sacrifice “effectiveness” in pvp for dps in pve - i eat up ele/warlocks by using 1 finger cause theyre trash in pvp - but to be fair i also eat up any swordsman class cause theyre just perma frozen or stunned and cant do anything (hi balance) - but it would be wrong to nerf such a class - cause those or choose to go that path cant go back from it…their only real use is pvp if theyre being nerfed and loose their purpose its a dead class/character - and as mentioned above my build seems to have a counter in flatcher… icant deal with those or its more like “who lands the first skill”
What skill reduce magic damage ? AFAIK only Pardoner magic def . According to damage calculation it’s only reduce tiny amounts.
neutralize ? you mean Oracle Counter spell

Wuff ? Phys skill easy to counter, don’t say counter you can’t even damage enemy with Stone skin & it’s a PARTY buff.
With full con you get 400++ Block, how you can say harder while the true is it’s so EASY.
Compare 2 Cleric buff :
Magic Reduce damage = pardoner Magic def Lvl 15 = 260+ spr
CD almost twice duration
Phy Reduce damage = Aspersio lvl 15 = +48% def
low CD long duration
Both prevent damage :
Revive Immunity, Mackangdal, Statue of Goddess Ausrine, Sterea Trofth
all of that have short duration, long CD ( except Sterea )
While with Priest 3 + Chaplain = Permanent immunity to physical damage.
