Since you’re not into reading the whole content of the topic (and my reply), I’d say you’re better off staying quiet. A lot of people are hassled with AFK farmers, whether because they can’t finish their own quests or farming seemed impossible. IMO, macro players are the same as botters, all lazy and just looking for an easy way out of a game. They’re better off not playing the game in the first place.
Please enlighten me then, if you believe I’ve not read this entire post. i’ll stop after this since you’re pushing your ideals onto me which makes me uncomfortable
The idea that you can’t finish a quest is rather odd since i was in a map with a warlock 2 who killed everything with in seconds, all i did was get a auto in and collected my dina bee quest in an estimated 5min.
a lot of AFK farmers are Hassled by ignorant teens who dislike the idea that they have to farm and “work hard” to get silver… when the people who are necro 2-3 had to worth to get there. and to claim someone as a botter/macroer you’d need more proof than that. as i stated earlier 1h and maybe a witness to see if they’re doing as you (or anyone) claims they’re doing.

Marilynn got mad at me because she died to an oracle-change and I took her spot. She’s been harassing me since, in and out of game. Nobody here has offered any proof? Why are these people going so far out of their way to screw me over?

The problem with afk-silverfarmers is the same as with bots : They’re constantly generating silver while the player is not actually playing the game. Compared to a server with no afk-silverfarming, aka the player logs out when not playing, that results in more silver being introduced to the economy, which then means more inflation and higher prices for everyone, including those who don’t afk-farm.
I don’t know how much money you can get by silver farming, but the more players do it and the longer they do it the more free silver gets generated and the higher inflation will be over time.
Take a look at Ragnarok Onlines prices for items and you’ll see what inflation by afk-farming/botting (botting, in ROs case) can do to an economy; Due to inflation there are many items in RO that cost far more than a character can actually hold (some items cost 20+billion zeny while a character can “only” hold 2 billion AND you could “only” trade up to ~1b in one trade. Back when i still played they had to call in GMs in order to manage and observe the trade because you’d need like 10+ chars with max money trading with eachother in order to buy a single item). Isn’t that absolutely ridiculous?
That’s what uncontrolled inflation and constantly generating money due to afk-ing/botting does to a game.
This may not be obvious to everyone right now, since the game is still quite “young”, but over time the same will happen to TOS if players continue generating free silver with botting or afk-farming.

Thanks for reminding me of this, as i can relate this to maplestory. keeping this on topic, yes it is imc’s fault for allowing this, but i feel an excuse for this would be the working people who don’t have anytime but maybe the 3-4 hours after they get home, and the 1(for me) or 3 days they get off. No i don’t own a necro so i wont dable into that anymore than i should. most “afk” necros die anyway because of lack of minions after a while or Grim-reaper comes in and boom.
I just dislike when other players make far-fetched accusations about another person based off a little gossip or something similar, and make that their base of operations to get someone booted off the game. I see in-game while i’m leeching off people in dina bee, how they get talked to, even while they are afk. its a pretty bad mentality x-x, ontop of that the OP for this thread has a poor case… so ya know…

Bud, ya aint got no reason to have to defend yourself. This game is dead. IMC is just milking it at this point to fund for the mobile version, and wolf knights. They intended to do that from the start and as long as your paying them 10 bucks a month into the cash shop, the GMs wont care what you do, save for serious death threats. Man typing via phone is a pain.
Anyway, no point in accusations ir trying for bans or whos wrong or right. When mobile and wolf hits, this game will close. So why bother to witch hunt, or bitch, or persecute? To feel good about yourself? Well thats dumb. To protect a dead game? Even more dumb. The only game to play is tree of forums. Hue

So someone spends more time to play the game and he’s not supposed to get an advantage compared to people who don’t spend as much time playing?
If someone can’t spend as much time then he’s not supposed to progress as much in the game. That’s just how it should be.
Not to mention most afkers / botters are not from this category of people. Most as I’m seeing are the ones that spend a lot of time playing and also opening alt accounts botting / afk farming since they want the best of the best.
Just to be clear I work and only play at nights and / or weekends. I don’t have a necro nor do I bot or afk farm.
To me, afk farming is the same as botting as what @Sayurichan pointed out. They are also gaining unfair advantages and are killing the game as well driving potential players away.

afk farming. the skeleton die after 1-3hour but Threejane take this step abit further and use (HIS SMART MACRO BOT) to ressummoning everything in 1minute, why is this Player allow to use Macro and have advantage while the rest of us.
He was on the forum where you make AutoIT script with a
apprently he only play 1-2hour per day but he can afk and recast his summoning all night. go figure.

I can assure you I don’t harass anyone. If someone has the balls to kill me, I’ll hunt them down forever though. You wanna cry and talk ■■■■ to me or talk ■■■■ to my guildies, i’ll add you to my kill list. Once you’re on it, you dont get out. I don’t have the time to be starting a war with everyone at dina but if you start with me, i’ll make sure to be the one that finishes it.
