Hello, I played TOS back when it launched going with a machine gun archer build. Original place was A1 -> QS3 -> A3 -> Musketeer. Currently at level 148 A1 -> QS3 -> A2 and my question is with the 8th circle added and all the changes since I played (first month of launch) whats the current build machine gun build like? Stuff like class, skill, and stats. Also gears I should aim for and such. Thanks for the help guys!
Also my current set is like 200 str, 40con, 65 dex.
Machine Gun build is so outdated…its really not best choice anymore.
as your stat and your lvl and rank…it still not far for you to change…as musket player i would not suggest u to take ac3…the best build u can make is like this

-totally into pvp…u will cry hard on PVE…and little advice if u aim on PVP u will dissapoint later…if u aim for pvp u better just take cleric…and this build choice will fck your aoe damage…u will hard to PVE and in rank 8 content…believe me

-Kind of ok for PVP but also ok for PVE…since circling will make circle area AOE def ration to 0 so u can make your Skill AOE…but its actually take long time for you to set up so in party PVE its kind of good and not so good…but if your choice if musket and want PVE falconer is a must.
but as musket player with QS3…i would suggest u to pick either SR3 or cannon c2…the reason is simple…this 2 class will give u good AOE and Good damage…and some cannon skil synergy with running shoot…
as for stat, stop str now, pumping more into dex…rank 8 skill just give ridiculous high base damage…u dont want to miss crit rate for those skill. imagine u deal 100k damage…if u got crit u will get 50k free damage…and that is ALOT…u dont want to miss that.
I’m kinda sad due to I enjoy the idea of the machine gun build =\ Maybe time to just start fresh with a different build.
Are there better musket builds right now? or is the other classes just better than musket?
musket is still fine if you are waiting for c3 potential as for c2 it’s the highest bursting archer class atm (1 rotation goes up to about 2.4m-3.2 on 10 second cd).
For archers Mergen is low damgae in terms of high cooldown best paired with scout/fletchers. waiting for C2 pending damage
Haka is in a sad state as well.
Cannoner c2 is your AOE bnb which suffers like QS2
SR 3 is the only potential Best aoe (due to meme being Fked so hard by imc)
Machine gun build aren’t that machine gun any more unless your aa can deal up to 100k- 120k per second which is extremely hard.
It is unable to match any r8 skill atm ( musket head shot + butt stroke + snipe = nearly 600k in 3 sec with 15 sec/25 sec cd).
I am still running qs3 musket (it’s costly).
There is alot of variation for musket now Like
A2>R3> rouge > musket
A2>r3>falconer> musket
A2>QS3> scout > musket for pvp
Basically just Insert A2> X > X > musket 2
Insert X as R3 or QS3 or Wugu. second tier X as falconer , rouge or scout
etc.
So assuming you are running back musket you can still stick to it.
I guess I can still salvage my build by going scout into musket I guess. What about stat wise? Due to originally running AA build i have high str should i switch to going all dex now?
switch to high dex mid str , your invested str can go up to as high as 160.

The rest of it into dex.
If you are into max min you can go 1.25:1 for str : dex or higher strength for maximum damage potential ( make up the lack of crit from gems)
If you are into saving/less investment on gear then 1 : 2 str : dex is fine.

What would you recommend I take before musket on my current character? A2 QS3 right now. Falconer for aoe? or scout? or something else?
well…if u going pvp…of course scout is needed.
i just explain from my exp…just like unicorn say…musket is not bad…the damage burst is actually so good for single target…
but as i say its “single target”…and the rotation for combo butstroke+snipe+headshot+covering fire
u will need at least 8s to combo this…not 3s…u need at least walk closed as meele range to apply butsroke…and snipe consume 1-2s to apply…headshot with attribute give 2x attack and done in 2-3s…covering fire 2s cast and 1s animation…around 3-4s…the total time for rotation already use about 8s at least…and this down time i when u use RS…but RS with less than 10k damage is really2 bad for rank 8 content…
with scout u should be ok in PVP…but with sage new skill missile hole, which convert missile atk to 1…and cleric stone skill and magkadel…u literally done 1 damage to them…all u need to do i wait for the skill to finish or attack other.
as for my exp PVP not really good for archer…or i can say PVP system actually broken in this game. unbalance class and skill…and for PVE u need AOE alot…which musket and qs3 dont have…that why i suggest u take cannon or SR…because this class provide better AOE…because in the end game u will need AOE alot…
easy say falconer for PVE…scout for PVP…that is your choice

The whole rotation is done in 5 second if you see my videos.
The only main issue is do you need to reposition. If you don’t you can just launch the whole rotation in his face.
Applying butt stroke is as easy as abc within 2 sec if you are fast.
Snipe does not have lag duration if you are on musket main.
Which is why weapon swapping is not encouraged. Also still highly ping dependent

Naw it’s just depends if you plan on future proof builds or not. My intention to make this toon was to use it as a burst dps any way @_@
I feel like only way to future proof is to stay at lvl 15 XD

well at least you can confirm kneeing shot is useless for musketeer right now. lol. After I play Musketeer C2 I feel like I need to move and move more than other class. Move in to butt stroke. Move to find Safe position. burst. than move in to butt stroke again repeat.
Still useful only when you get lazy in mission :^) all you need to do is swift steps Running shot Kneel afk.
Also a3 max kneeling shot is out of aggro range boss literally won’t move even if you hit him lawl. So yea there’s that.
So we don’t need Mergen attribute to do that?
a3 is enough.
