Love the zones! The artwork is beautiful, and the cute little monsters are fun to kill. Combat is extremely satisfying. I especially loved the crystal mines, with tons of players mobbing all the time. Great fun.

Here are some things I didn’t like, though the good definitely outweighed the bad!

To start with, the story. It’s pretty thin. It would be nice to have a better understanding of who I am and where I came from when I start the game.As it is, I know I am a soldier, and… not much else.

Ranking up: I was in the crystal mines when I ranked up from Swordman to Highlander. I was automatically transported to the Highlander trainer and told I needed to complete a quest in the mines in order to advance. I was then dumped back in Klaipedia and had to run all the way back to the mines, where I had just been 30 seconds ago, to complete the quest. This was a waste of time. I would reccomend one of these suggestions:

A. Require players to go back to a town to rank up
B. Automatically transport characters back to their previous location after meeting with the class trainer.
C. Transport characters directly to their next quest.

Customization choices are lacking (hair color is linked to style, for example), but I am guessing this will be a cash shop item.

In the zones, there are areas where you can jump down from a higher area to one below. When you view the map, however, it looks as if you can simply walk from a lower area to a higher. I spent lots of time running to what I thought was a path, only to realize it was a wall. There should be some sort of indication on the map to show that these places are one way only.

And most importantly, keybinds. I had trouble playing archer and wizard with the available control schemes. None of them felt right to me, but the ability to swap around a few keybinds would have fixed it. I am hoping that this was just a case of not having time to complete this feature for the beta test, because to not have customizable keybinds in a game in 2015 would be absolutely ridiculous.

I’m pretty sure keybinds will be implemented during release. I won’t worry to much about it during beta.

I think the limited customization choices was a conscious design choice. They left the character features essentially blank to allow room for imagination. Hair color is unlockable in game, whereas hairstyle might be permanent (or maybe cash shop?).

I thought the same thing as you and was kind of annoyed, until I discovered you actually CAN move from a lower area to a higher area (at least for all of the hidden paths in Klaipeda). It can be kind of tricky to figure out where to jump to, but it is definitely possible for the ones in Klaipeda.

I was wondering if that might be the case! Didn’t do enough research on it.

Good to know! I’ll have to try this out in the next beta. Hopefully it works out in the field zones as well.
