I’m not gonna reveal their names but I overheard their conversations in a Chinese QQ group. I know a lot of these players. They are all decked out with very expansive gear and have maxed attributes. Buying in-game currency with real money is a very common phenomenon in the Chinese culture because many Chinese living in NA have rich parents. Most of my Chinese friends have millionaire/billionaire parents who buy their kids Porsche and BMW to drive around. They have unlimited RL money for unlimited in-game currency. I don’t think it’s fair for other players, and it encourages gold sellers and their bots. IMC is doing a good job banning gold sellers and bots, but the gold buyers should not be left unpunished. Maybe they don’t deserve to be perm banned, but they should be stripped away of their bought silver with a temporary ban. I hope IMC will deal with this seriously.
Hmm, while it is indeed bad, I don’t know why children of millionaires/billionaires would bother to play TOS.

you should subtly file a report against your friends for buying silver, for the greater good of IMC tracing the silver to it’s source, which will probably end up being your friends Aunts/Uncles. Just don’t tell them it was you.

But people who buy gold may already maxed out their TP purchase already. (or in the case of Nexon, they already maxed out on their NX purchase limit)

Yeah true, they’re not necessarily, but I’ve noticed that the big shots who show off all their cash purchases in MMOs tend to get a lot of their gear with gold from sellers
