Looking for advise on Musketeer 2 skill distribution

This is the current configuration:

A2-QS3-Sc1-Mu2

The unspent points are my [I have no idea] points. I particularly need advise on how to distribute the Musketeer skills.

I also have a spare Skill Reset if the class has any skills that can be learned to a certain level to get attribute(s) then re-learned to a lower level – similar to Doppels before and Swordsman’s Bash now.

It will wear Lolopanther Leather Armor + Pants, Solmiki Leather Gloves (currently) and Vienti Albinosas Leather Boots with a choice of either Sissel or Phada for bracelets and the undying Max Petamion for the necklace. I think I’ve leaned too much into critical rate, is that bad or unnecessary for Musketeers?

I’ll have an Emengard Musket for it soon enough so I also need to know if it should be Red or Green gems for it?

Thanks in advance! :prince:

I’m using this Musketeer 2 configuration for now.

I keep the Covering Fire at lvl 7, while it’s the skill of Musketeer with the best % damage and cooldown, the charging is anoying and canceled a lot of times.

Birdfall is just a preference, the huge damage against flying for just 1 skill point is too good for me.

Buttstroke is just for the 30% damage.

Snipe and Headshot are my main bossing skills.

And critical is amazing in Muskets, it’s beautiful to see the huge yellow number of a Snipe, with a Emengard I can see you reaching the 555k damage cap easily in a crit.

Ayt, I distributed the skills exactly like that… now for the weapon, red or green?

I’d go green with musketeers always, they are a bursty class anyway

Red is better and the optimal choice, but I always put Green on mine anyway because I love critical rate…

Looks like Green is the way to go, thanks!

What stat u going for this build?

All DEX, like everything into DEX and nothing sprinkled here and there.

All of the remaining damage will be made up for by transcendence.

Gear is already +11 Lolo Leather and +11 accessories so dying isn’t really going to happen much.

For PVE, are Bayonet and Pen. Shot really that bad?

I have no idea, I never got them based on what I was advised to take.

Any thoughts on this @Valfor?

Sure.

First Bayonet is a close range attack, so you have to close in to use, so even though the damage is decent (1200% every 9 seconds, with 10% of chance of doubling that and causing bleed with attribute) it’s pretty impratical, I would only consider using it if Headshot didn’t cause bleeding because of the Snipe bonus.

About penetration shot… do you guys know about energy blast that monk use without the knockback attribute? The skill do the same, the monsters will end flying all over the place. But the damage is pretty good against large bosses, you usually hit them 3 times with the skill (5 with a Falconer 3 party member), but because the skills Headshot, Snipe and Covering Fire already cover the bossing part I didn’t think that was a good idea to put one more conditional skill.
