List of pure/full tank builds?

i’m running a similar path as well, this build is obviously not designed for solo so just do as much dungeons and missions as possible. Get into grind parties like Alemeth and Evac. Pelt 3 might have its uses at high lv ET. Tank builds are not meant to level up fast

As someone who’s reached 250+ with a pure con build as a Pelt3

It’s a path that requires you to go down the deepest bowels of hell then go back to heaven then down again.

in the end though. You’ll basically be nigh-immortal

Tomorrow i’m going to start my AoE DPS Tank (future doppel 3)

The stats will be 1:1 STR-CON till rank 6 and see from there what i stat i prioritize
First 70-100 ish levels i’ll go full STR since i got funded gear and max food buffs from my main Squire tank.
The reason i picked barb is because it has the cleave 50% slash buff which will be very useful for doppel later on.
Normally i would always pick at least squire 1 for the filler class to self repair but again i can set that up from my second char.

What i want to achieve with the build is a very nice solo farmer that can lure 21-22 mobs and kill it with cyclone.
Also in my experience being a full con beast that can’t support with damage in battle can be boring sometimes. at least it was for me…
Seeing the tier chart of ET ( so far ) what stand out the most is AoE dmg and support. so mixing the two most useful SW circles for ET might turn out to be quite nice.

Better go with 50-100 con in the first parts so you just have to worry about STR later on since you can live with just Blessing and Sacra buffs for the first 150 lvls

I’m finally going pelt 3 rod 2 and squire 1. squire 2 is just a waste and pelt 3 is way too much needed for mass mob and better aggro management, since i really lack damage, as full support Tank.

I’d say get to rode 2 and wait until we have the murmillo skills, they might complement rode 3 immensely.

Would shield lob be a good skill for that build? Like you could swash, throw your shield and switch immediately to 2h sword? Would that work? Would actually be pretty neat for the immediate damage, nice aoe attack ratio and it wouldn’t hurt you since you’re switching to 2h sword anyway.

Edit: also what would you think of this build:

It’s more dps focused but should still be able to tank very well. In the pelt 2 you can take a point off guardian since you want block and not evasion and put it in rim blow. Buff wise you’ll be rocking Gung Ho 5, Swashbuckling, DoV 5 and Pain Barrier 5.

I’m not sure how worth it it is to lose swash 15 and get doppel c1 instead tanking wise tbh, mortschlag and cyclone would help deal with cloth enemies since this build is extremely strike based.

You could also take a point off concentrate and put it in thrust just to get a source of pierce damage to ease the leveling part.

Also this would obviously lead to murmillo 1.

Stat wise you could go either 2 STR 1 CON, 1 STR 1 CON, 1 STR/CON/DEX, 1 STR 2 CON.

No Shield lob is trash Do not get it. It’s a waste of skill pts. lvl 15 swash gives 21 targets to pull so your Cyclone will benefit for it.

I agree that it’s a nice idea but the dmg of shield lob is trash and imho not worth any skill point.
For your build i think doppel might fit in really well as long as you got some strength to actually do some damage.
If i would make a rodel-murmillo i would go SW > pelt 3 > squire > rodel 2 > murmillo or
SW > pelt 3 > rodel 2 > doppel 1 > murmillo or maybe even pelt 3 > rodel 3 if murmillo turns out to sink in really well with rodel.

So as you can see i would always pick pelt 3 in any good tank build because the mass taunt is just what makes the swordies so useful and unique.

^ Agree with this person here. Finally, someone who gets what tanks are. But yeah Pelt3>Rodel3 for maximum Debuffing while your allies lay down the damage

mass taunt is not thee only thing pelt 3 gives. you also have umbo thrust which is also very useful in parties because enemies struck by the skill may temporarily lose the effects from their armors. Has 2 over heats and lasts for more or less 15 secs. And langort for pierce attacks which shield users lack.

Been looking for pelt 3 rode 3 footage, that’s definitely what I’d reroll into if I had any motivation to play the game again. Looks pretty sweet.

I have a SW > pelt 3 > Rodel 2 > squire 1 planning to go Murmillo already.

With around 130 STR including gear (I have max petamion) my damage is like this:

Targe smash lv 10 + Slithering debuff = roughly 4000 damage if crit, 2XXX damage non-crit. Damage is still very low, Rodel 3’s high kick will give more damage but compared to Doppel / dragoon / fencer it’s still nowhere near them, so I don’t think it’s worth it unless u go for PVP build, or you have heaps of monks in your party (unlikely). Squire 1 is so useful, arrest is such a good utility skill to use, can even save lives if u time it correctly. Repair shop saves sooooo much money and time since your gear breaks very often.

I think as a tank, focus on cc and debuffs like armor break. Don’t try to do damage, because you can’t compete with a high CON build.

I agree lv 15 SB is a must. Some screens have a LOT of monsters and even lv 10 SB is not enough to taunt all.

Rodel 3’s use would probably depends of your party composition. So far, correct me if I’m wrong, Monks, schwarzer reiter, sappers, paladin and a few swordsman classes have very strong hitting strike attacks, or focus on doing strike damage. Depending on how rank 8 ends up balancing the meta, that extra 100% strike damage could end up being more wanted than arrest. But yeah, arrest would help you out with any party composition, and of course it helps with repair costs.

Just doing some theory here, I’ve never reached 200 on this game lol dunno how popular the striker archers and monks arew

Sword 1 pelt 3 hop 3

Those classes u mentioned, u either don’t or very rarely see them taking up dps slots in ET, so it’s pointless.
