[Linker]Joint Penalty + AOE damage Question

FYI : I’m Pyro c2/Linker c1

I don’t know If it normal but when I link 3 mob together and lay down flame ground to hit all 3 mob the damage won’t link to the other
It’ll be just normal flame ground damage
I test it with fireball too and it’s the same

Hi everyone, today I would like to talk about the mechanic of Joint Penalty for the one who doesn't know. There were so many discussions about this skill in the past and I saw many people said like "If you link 5 monsters together and AoE them all, each of them will be damaged 5 times". It work perfectly fine with single target hit and when mob isn’t in the AOE
so… here’s my question

Is this the how joint penalty normally be ?
Joint penalty won’t link damage that is in the AOE skill ?

That thread is outdated, they changed how joint penalty works (you can refer to previous ktos patches, we should have that by now).

If two or more mobs are linked together and you cast an AoE spell it only damages one of them which is then linked to the others.
