Limiting dungeon runs, please don't let this pass

I’m surprised people aren’t protesting against this a lot more. To anyone who actually wants this limit how can you think someone limiting your freedom is a good thing? Everything this limit lets you do you could do before the limit existed and do it better. Should it not be your own decision on how many dungeon runs you want to do each day? There’s absolutely no valid reason to have this in the game other than to make money off people who purchase to get more runs. This is similar to the stamina/energy system Elsword and some other games have where if you run out of stamina/energy you can no longer gain exp, do dungeons or do some other things in the game. If a person wants to spend his/her entire day playing a game or his/her entire life playing a game then this should be their own decision, why should they be stopped from doing this?

I’m saying this because I am a fan of the game and I want to see it do well and I also want to enjoy it and being limited to such few dungeon runs per day will ruin the experience quite a bit especially when the game doesn’t offer much else to do at the moment and it’s apparently the best way of getting exp and other things. My fear is that this will turn away a lot of players like previous games offering a limit has. Me and my friends stopped playing Elsword for this very reason. Please do not let this limit continue existing.

I’m with you on this. I rather have them lower the exp and make them harder, but remove the limit.

Don’t judge if you haven’t tried it yet.

Its why they give so much experience. I think the limit makes the exp OP. I’m not on board with nerfing the experience and making it infinite.

i believe they want us to enjoy the content to the fullest, you can explore TOS world and find interesting things instead re-run the same dungeone for infinite time a day. It’s boring~ i’m against this.

Plus, why hinder a great social opportunity?
This is going to be a strong social game, why hinder/limit one of the best social activities?

id prefer a week cap instead of a day cap, so 7 week /14 for token is good. this way ppl that only play on weekends can do all dungs and who play everyday will do fild grinding

Can’t you guys just wait until the OBT is released??

There are also a lot of things (like 1:1 trade, team shared bank, high taxes from market, etc) that I did not like when I read about, but it’s better to wait and see how they will handle these things and suggest a change later.

They said things can be different from korean server, so just wait, see for yourself everything you don’t like and suggest a better idea later

Launch you mean? (OBT never came)

Sometimes you have to wait in situations like these, because nobody actually realizes just how bad a practice this is. The problem with this kind of thing is it will be too late once the game is online to fix the damage caused by this kind of limit.

I wrote that because I must say, I actually liked the dungeons system on icbt2.

Back then, we had 5 runs for dungeons before lvl 100 and 2 runs (that actually sucked) after 100.

IMO, if we don’t have a limit in those dungeons the game will get boring. Even if we get unlimited runs with lower exp/loot, people will simply rush the dungeons until they cannot get exp from them anymore or rush them to get a specific item (like the op Arde Dagger from icbt).

So I think it’s better to keep these limits at first because in this case they were actually fine, and then we can suggest changes later (increase or even remove those limits).

The only thing I think should be removed entirely is the option to buy more runs with TP (real money). Paying or non-paying users should have the same amount of runs.

Before the limit existed? Wasn’t there a 5 dungeon limit during the CBT? I might be remembering wrong… I actually wont want to do them more than 4 times a day so it doesnt bother me.

ah I just realized I tl;dr’d OP’s message. I agree with a limit, but it shouldn’t be lower than people who use Token. I guess that’s a different conversation for a different thread though.

Yes, there was. 5 runs for dungeons before lvl 100 and 2 for those above lvl 100.

I must say that the 2 runs kinda sucked…

It would be nice to have 3~5 runs for every dungeon, no matter what level.

I also don’t like the idea of unlimited dungeon runs. Atleast, not in this game. In this game, dungeons are just a place for a few ppl to party with and get a boost on their training and equips, nothing else. I actually hope they limit it even more, seeing as it’d force them to diversify training methods(and actually make field grinding a thing again).

Limiting the runs means they can give the dungeons real value in running them which upsets the chore of them for the players who don’t like them while still allowing players who do to have their dungeon runs.

If they make them unlimited they would have to nerf the EXP and drop rates into the ground.

I also dont want unlimited dungeons, they’re limited because of the great EXP you get. This game is best enjoyed around people out in the world. remove the limit and everyone would just spend all day in them. Just like in WoW, they made dungeons too good to lvl and now people spam them back to back to lvl up and you only see a tiny fraction of people lvling from quests out in the zones.

Like Rennie said, if they were to remove the daily limit, theyd have to nerf the exp and drops or fields will be empty.

I’m heavily against removing the limit on dungeons.

Here is my reasoning.

It is because on how the dungeons currently work in the game. 600% Bonus experience is quite the boost, but you can only get this bonus from using the Party Finder… solo. You can’t use the Party Finder to queue with friends at all. So if you want to remove the limit on dungeons you need to lower the bonus you get from dungeons.

All this does is push the game down to Tree of Solo Queue.

Comparing this game to one of those games with an energy system is ludicrous.

I am against removing the limit. I like how dungeons provide really fast and quick “daily” exp for people who maybe just have an hour or two to play in a day.

I have to admit i never considered this but it does make a lot of sense, seeing at the matter in this perspective i can actually agree with the limited dg runs.

I hope tho that we’ll have something that can compare to raids in the future that’ll be more of a “challenge to try anytime the player want” then only exp runs… with advanced mechanics and stuff to keep them challenging and maybe a timed leaderboard to give an incentive to competitive players xD
