But even in RO had the “Alchemist Ranking” / “Blacksmith Ranking” / “Taekwon Ranking” system, where only the top 10 got an advantage over the whole server. The rankings reseted every now and then, but at least on the alchemist side (when white slims were still valuable) it varied very little over the years from what i saw cos of WoE Guilds.
I’m not sure if this has been mentioned before but, if hidden classes can be accessed through a hidden gimmick in the game; someone finds it and circulates the information only to a select few in the guild and his/her own friends and repeat to the friend’s friend and until the limit has been reached.
This action separates the community and without a doubt, cause adverse effects.
Unless the programmers of the game design the quests whether NPCs and / or conditions to be “different” and “really random” each time, I personally do not think the feature of hidden classes WITH limited counts is appropriate for an MMORPG.
This will happen and tbh I am one of those guys who will exactly do that. That’s why the developers only need to raise the difficulty, not by limiting the amount of exclusive players who can get there.
Considering its F2P make allot of accounts then xD do that also when i find a Hidden Class SPAM IT WITH MY FRIENDS TILL IT HIT THE LIMIT and only 5~10 people will have it instead of 500~100 people, =D MORE SPECIAL
Yep, and that will also motivate some people to do real money tradings. But if I’m one of those people, I’m not gonna sell my accounts to limit the very existence of hidden class users. What a bastard I am. lol
well ofc, im pointing out the possible exploits in this idea, cause i’m sure most of the people supporting limiting the classes are mostly people who would play 5~8hrs and will certainly get it, the longer time you keep the hidden class the more it will grow in price if developers don’t change a thing,…
all MMO i played, you can find S> 1k Gold for 5$ at this website, i’m sure people will sell this class or even make the people bid for it, real money trading for items with player to player trading isn’t a new thing, and a Limited class!! just the word “Limited” will make it more valuable than a rare item
Especially if there are cash shops that provide name change or gender change. It’ll make the one who bought the account is the one who actually achieved the class.
They don’t need to raise the difficulty of it, they just need to randomize some elements.
Like after you get all appropriate secret/achievements, you set a random timer ranging from (example) 1 day to 2 weeks, then you unlock the hidden class. That should confuse a lot of people about the path taken to get there, thus limiting the possibilities of guides or exploits.
But I personally rather endure the immense difficulty of clearing a quest. Maybe even quests with random prerequisites each time over uncertain factors such as time.
lol well true if u made alts… but if it required lvl 200 chara to get the quest ( both of you that is)… now your level of trust between each other will be on the test XD (well… if its easy to reach 200 lvl then why not right?) good luck sacrificing XD
but i wont get the hidden class if i sacrifice myself …XD
and this way… it wont limit to 100 accounts only (cause people can make multiple accounts)… but it will be 50% of the total accounts in ToS can get the hidden class =V… i think its not a bad idea considering how horrible it will be to friends alike (your best friend is ur worst enemy right?) XD
Everything can be done in order to get something that is considered ‘limited’ in the game. So even if it takes level 200 character to be able to complete the quest, I doubt people will not level an alt char, that is, if it isn’t prohibited by the game itself. I’d do it if the temptation is real, but that will surely give a negative impact on my real life lol.
but it will be an amazing feat right? considering if ur playing cassully … u can make 2 accounts… then level them both (not the same time though… and u can use ur sub class on your 1st account to earn money while the other one grinds and vice versa). atleast the limit of 100 is lifted… now its just time wasting quest hell!!
well i think its a good idea, the sacrificing part XD…
This sacrificing things reminds me of Mangekyou Sharingan.
Then I’d like to see a hidden class that must sacrifice a whole server in order to obtain it. lol
