Limited Hidden Class

As i heard before they are planning to make the hidden class limited

Example:
Only 100 people can get Shinobi Class or any hidden class

does anyone have info if they are still going to do this? :cold_sweat: cause i can’t play 24/7 and i really don’t want to rush myself leveling just so i can secure a place on the hidden class i like :disappointed_relieved: cause i kinda like exploring more

that would really suck -_-
if they’re going to ā€œlimitā€ the hidden classes, they need to think a fair and balanced way to do it…
like getting an achievment or doing a secret quest lol

Yeah it’d be a shame if part of the content was put behind a hyper-competitive wall.

If that is the case, I doubt that it would be 100 permanently. Why would they waste time developing a whole class just to cater to such a small pool of people?

It would be more like 100 limit every month or something similar to that.

uhmmm just an example bro but you get the idea,… :sob: since i heard that they want to do that

noooo dont limit it pweasee… i want some of hidden class to be rewarded from achievment progress too… beside become a grinding machine… like exploring ancient artifact and voila you become new class :kissing:

i heard they wanted to do that,… but ofc as time pass by people will make Guides and things, making ā€œHiddenā€ useless and will just become a normal class change

So be it, it’s like that to every hidden content there is no way to work around something like this.

Well i hope anyone can confirm to us what they want to do,… 1 thing i heard was make the quest really random, like each player would get different kind of quest to do it, but that was just a forum discussion i found way back, i just hope they don’t make it limited :sob: cause i will never get it

really, limited quota for hidden classes is a very bad way to implement this. .
let say that we get 100 quota for hidden class
by the power of internet, once someone achieve Hidden class, there will be information leak, information sharing and whatever, making someone could achieve that class easier later. .

once 100 players achieved the hidden class, the quota is full. . which mean no other player wouldnt be able to achieve it anymore, would it?
so, let say 50 player of that hidden class retired in the future, because certain circumstance. . 50 quota is wasted.

so I’m assuming this limited hidden class is a bullshit unless someone can give me proper proof/article which maybe I missed or havent seen

Idk guys, you’re looking at this at the wrong way.

I think limited hidden classes are great, think about the joy to find and earn this classes, and if you char can only have one hidden class ever? Would you pick ninja hidden class with your healer just cause you can? Or you rather leave this class alone and aim for another hidden class more in line with your build, like a paladin or something.

Besides, if 100 is sounding way too low, I’m sure they can just change it without effort later on. Sure everyone is worried that they may not get a special or hidden class on their playthrough, but that’s the joy. If everybody can have them, then it can’t be special.

Unless they make them very OP, but remember " If everybody is special, then nobody is… "

Look. I get your point. But I think that that idea can easily be implemented in offline games where you are the sole player in that game, and to get a certain special thing you should do something. But such ideas can be obsolete in online games where players gather and play in one platform, where equality deserved its place in it, to every players. Every players have their rights to enjoy what the game has to offer up to the fullest.

Don’t get me wrong, your opinion is superb and I can think the rewarding experience to earn that hidden class. But at least think about if people who actually got that hidden class but decided to ditch them later on. That would be such a waste wouldn’t it? That’s why I thought ā€˜hidden class’ is such an incomplete system, they should’ve changed it to something like 'Do X quest in a certain time in a week to be able to transcend to ā€˜hidden class’ or actually increase the difficulty of the quest so it would be almost impossible to reach, but only determined players could be able to achieve it, but not limiting it.

It might just cost NXP (of which is gained via Player Achievements [of which one of the wikis say devs wanted to be a requirement for hidden classes] and probably real money) to unlock a hidden class, and / or the wording of whatever information everyone seems to be basing this off of was just misleading. In that they meant only certain players with certain requirements could access the classes. Only a select number = elite, not exclusive.

All speculation.

Having a class limited to only a certain amount of people on a server is reminiscent of the Seal Stones from Mabinogi, which were created to lock off content until the playerbase was proficient enough to continue in the game, and a player qualified to break the stone would eventually end up doing so. Once a Seal Stone is broken, that player is given a title that deems them the breaker of the stone, and it will never again be sealed.

It’s a very interesting concept, and one that I really enjoy, but one problem with it is that players from other servers can destroy this sense of accomplishment by purposely working toward the Seal Stone’s breaking requirements and rob the local players of that duty. I think this might happen with hidden classes too. :pensive:

The problem is that you’re talking about this classes like you suppose to count on it to enjoy the game rather than as a bonus. I mean just thinking about the unknow and the secrets behind each unique and limited class give me chills. Even if I don’t get one of them, I’ll be glad with my char the way it is, with the options given to me by the devs.

And as I mentioned early, if the playerbase detect a sudden decrease on a certain hidden class pop or lacking of such, I’m sure they can just increase the amount available with a simple edit on the server cmd line.

MAX NINJA CLASS: 100 *Edit 300 … Done

I mean, all I am asking is to give them a chance before calling a bold and bad idea. Sure it will be exploited, but everything will be, that’s how games are, no dev can fix it no matter what. Animations, gliches, exploits, some skills will be better than others, some classes will be dominant, some builds will be shared and copy until no one will dare to use a diferent build outside the metagame… That’s not a game failure, it’s human nature.

well I think itĀ“s good idea to make them limited… Look… When they will make them ONLY hidden, itĀ“s 100% the one of the first 10 will make a free guide for the whole world ā€œHow to become a Shinobi?ā€ And this would be the end of The ā€œhiddenā€ class.
Btw. Who are other 3 limited classes and are they limited too?

I think why they said the class is limited is because players do not know the specific requirements to access the class. And when they knew it, they are already too late.
There are a lot of combinations and builds in this game. Hidden classes are most likely to be available in high level. Knowing those facts, when there are some lucky players that gain access to the hidden classes, I think they should be above level 200 or maybe higher than that.
The question is, when those players share their experiences and tips to get the hidden class, will other players with the same level (around 200 - 300+) bother to make another character just to get that hidden class? Because there is also a possibility that when players have already reached high level, they unconciously have skipped some important requirements in earlier game. That’s why the class itself will be limited to certain lucky people or those hardcore players who will do anything in order to gain their hidden class.

Limiting a vanity item like a mount of which has no benefit that is unobtainable with any other mount is okay.

But limiting something that has an effect on gameplay and is a core gameplay feature would be ridiculous.

If they want to make it special, they should make it difficult to obtain, not limited availability. This way, it will still be limited in the sense that very few people will have obtained it, but at least everyone would have a chance to obtain it.

Yes, as I said earlier, it’s not like IMCGames will limit the amount of the players who can access the classes. But it’s more like the difficulty to access the class itself that will limit the amount of hidden class users.
