Chaplains seem like a fun class. (i just got my cleric to chaplain.)
this is an auto-attacker build, with a healthy side of support. it will level pretty slow as a cleric / priest, but as your blessing goes up, so does your damage. using things like Sacrament and Cafrisun will multiply the number of times Blessing triggers on each hit. Once you hit Chaplain, start to keep Aspergillum up, and that high int will suddenly make your damage skyrocket.
i found that i didn’t use my spells offensively very often, but i’ll confess that i built up as a Str build, and burnt a leftover Stat reset potion when i hit chaplain. if/when you do use spells as attacks, remember that ground tiles don’t hit flying mobs, and bosses don’t count as flying mobs no matter what they look like.
essentially after Chaplain, the build is mostly “done”, and anything you add to it is a bonus, to whatever flavor you like.
Cler1 > Priest 1,2,3 > Chaplain > ?? > ?? ; Int/Con/Spr 4:1:1
must haves: max blessing and aspersion.
suggested choices for the final 2 ranks…
–cleric / plague doctor: if you take all the buffs from priest, and Deploy Capella as chaplain, you can make a strong support build out of this as well, without losing out on your soloing ability. PD adds a lot to both support and solo ability.
–druid: for the fun druid stuff… lots of DPS stuff i’m told ?
–krivis: high int will give that lightning a big punch, and there are some nice buffs.
–pardoner: if you invested in all those buffs as priest, why not take advantage and earn money off them now?
–whatever else you like. lol
