Let's talk about the connection between werewolf card and your critical rate

Before we reset our STR to DEX, Let’s see this first

I have 8* lv10 werewolf cards
and i am trying to test it! but i don’t know what is the best way to test.

So, if i have 232 . 320 . 409 . 486 critical rate
( with/ without sissel, max peta, green gem weapons, i am lv 319)
Go with 72% critical rate (lv6 sneak hit) * 8 lv10 werewolf

  1. I count my normal attack without sneak hit to target Yellow Pag Clamper
    (crit hit/ hits)
    320: 119/300. 120/300 = 39.8% (looks good to use)
    (320-x)*42/319=39.8 => 320-x= 302, x=18
    so i guess it has 18 critical res

FOR 18 critical res
232: 28.1%
320: 39.8%
409: 51.47%
486: 61.61%
i think it’s really close!! as my feel

  1. Try with sneak hit each part 270 hits
    (no crit hit / hits)
    232: 14/90. 16/90. 14/90 = 44/270 = 83.7%
    320: 7/90. 10/90. 10/90. 10/90 = 37/360 = 89.7%
    409: 12/90, 5/90. 7/90 = 24/270 = 91%
    486: 7/90. 6/90. 4/90 = 17/270 = 93.7%

Do we (rough) still need to build up critical rate? IDK

Those numbers we can use , but i have no idea how to use them, anyone ?
OR maybe u can test it as well

for short , even you have level 15 sneak hit you STILL GO SOME DEX for end game content

This is why I feel werewolf card is over-rated.
with 486 crit rate + filling your entire deck with eight lv10 werewolf cards give 93.7%

but you already had 61.61% crit rate anyway.
Essentially, those 6x slots of lv10 werewolf cards do nothing. 60% chance of it being an attack to the rear where you would have 100% chance to crit.
well you had that much anyway.

Its only after that you start to see some gains. An all or nothing build decision.

It’s not overrated, it’s most an off meta build for people like me who like rogue 1.

I’m a ranger 3 rogue 1 SR 3 and like I keep saying to anybody, the build is fun, expensive as hell and works no matter how the party set up looks like.

In a min/maxed pve party the fact that you are going max str gives you a big no-no with all the dex buffs from other classes (monstrance anyone?) plus your kinda forced into plate as well.

Props:

Fun off meta build that works very well in solo or random set up

slops:

werewolf cards plus full str is suboptimal with buffs
expensive as hell since day one of end game (8x lvl 10 card required)
plate user + werewolf gives you very little item costumization

I guess that’s bassicaly it.

I like my build but I almost never suggest it over archer 2, to be honest :stuck_out_tongue: It’s just funny to go with yellow gem in main hand + 2x phada, but given the expensiveness in the end it is not suggested for newbies (too much $$$) or hardcore players (they usually like to min max), so just a couple of hipsters nolifer like me here and there as leftover users :stuck_out_tongue:

As I sad, the only big prop of the build is that is kinda brainless, theorycraft wise, since it’s really hard to mess something around (no crit rate suggested, no studying with / without monstrance blahblahblah) this is my 1st and only archer since I’m a cleric player most of the time and I loved the idea that is such an easy build from a theorycraft pov.

@dwojunkmail
My test target has only 18 crit res, if it has 130 crit res(who? i don’t know),
IF I have 232 (28%) might become to 100 (can’t test)
IF I have 320 (40%) might become to 232 (28%)
IF I have 486 (61%) might become to 320 (40%)
so i would only have: 40% or 28% critical rate without sneak hit (130 crit res)

In this case, werewolf card (don’t know how) provide me
a Critical Rate Insurance <= any better name?
232 => +55.6% CR (83.7%)
320 => +49.9% CR (89.7%)
409 => +39.5% CR (91%)
486 => +32.1% CR (93.7%)

I think:
IF i have 320 critical rate i can deal most mobs under 130 critical res and still have 83.7% CR
IF i have 486 critical rate i can deal most mobs under 130 critical res and still have 90% CR

Summary
486 critical rate - 18 ~ 130 critical res + werewolf card effect = 93.7 ~ 90% CR
320 critical rate - 18 ~ 130 critical res + werewolf card effect = 89.7%~ 83.7% CR

That’s the reason i do those different amount of critical rate…
