[Lets Talk About It] Cleric Heal Tiles

So in this video at 11:46 the heal tiles go out all around the caster.

Would be nice if we could augment how the tiles lay out, so we could make it a long line of heals or a big square around us, or like in cone in front/behind.

dreaming about this game having more options

you mean you’d like them to require tile selection like how ice and fire walls are?
Well good luck about that…

Well, I think it would make sense to have UI menu to plan all of those tile spells before casting them and having that “shape” saved.

Pls no lol probably give an attribute for that but don’t make it a default feature

Well, I think it should be something c2 or c3 exclusive for sure. Wanna attract people to take those ranks :DD

Suppose they’d implement an attribute with toggle then so be it, otherwise, it’s nothing more than a liability

Thats the latest one to my knowledge.

Im aware, however you have no control over the arrangement of the tiles. I do understand the most recent update allows for more tiles by giving +1 Tile per Skill level.

True Cleric players don’t want that kind of features. It doesn’t make sense for a healer class to be slow at casting heals.

You misunderstand. The UI and Setup is done outside of battle then when you cast it, it will take that shape. You can save the arrangement. Thats the idea. The idea has also expanded to allowing other tile based spells the same utility.

I actually like this idea. Might be cool to have an X pattern heal or a W shape. You get enough clerics together, you could have some fun with letters xD

Is it already like that for Ice Wall / Fire Wall ? I couldn’t test it.

I like this idea.

I personally think healers should heal around his area instead of a straight line / W shape / X shape / any shape by default. This’ll reduce the risks that other players in the party to go around all over the places instead of sticking to the healer, which would be difficult for the healer to aim it. Having a party where healer is the in the center position of the group makes healing a lot easier and predictable for the healer to do his job. However, I do agree that this set up has its cons as well as an AoE attack from boss would be an extremely high risk for the party that always stick together.
But yes, a feature where the healer can customize the positions of tiles would be really welcomed as it provides a lot of versatility and adaption to the environment, party set ups and overall strategy of the battle outcome as different pattern of tiles will provides different pros and cons, considering all the elements available on the battlefield. It should, however, comes with a cooldown or something as its restriction though,

@soldatazur Icewall and Firewall, you are hitting the hotkey for the spell, then making the pattern. Im suggesting it being a UI outside of battle. You input the tiles in the shape you like, save it, then when you hit that hotkey–you cant produce the spell any faster but you will not have to mess around with building icewall/firewall paths on the fly and you get the added utility of a super long line of heals, or maybe a pattern for hitting all the monsters around you, we could get much more creative than the current systems for tile based spells.

Not really, having the healer on the center just make it a huge target and it would eat all the attacks coming to the rest and self…

I totally didn’t edit and add this the next day… this was typed here from the start

:imp:

There is a big problem anyway. If it’s instant, it’s too powerful; if it creates tile per tile it’s a big nerf and you can be interupted in yoru cast. The way it works is already good.

Which I had already acknowledged, “…However, I do agree that this set up has its cons as well as an AoE attack from boss would be an extremely high risk for the party that always stick together.”

The iwall and fwall cast all possible tiles(capping at ur skill level ofc) if you don’t press a direction. otherwise it uses however many specific tiles you have selected.

i dont think heal needs this atm

Just have a couple of on/off attributes that let you cast your tiles in a certain layout. Frontal for fightings mobs or cross-shaped around you for healing party members etc. The tiles will appear all at once, unlike fire/ice wall which requires manual selection.
