Lets talk about 320 HG rare items

Hey guys, greetings from Orsha, the reason of this tread its to share our results farming the 320 HG, mostly about how lucky/unlucky your farm sessions had been.

Personally me and my guildmates are starting to hate the inconscistent DPK of the boxes, not just the rare ones but the magic ones as well. We been farming for one week as it is RN without results, not even a single rare item, yesterday we farmed for 6~7 hours non stopping and we got 13 common armor boxes and just 1 weapon box (common as well), in that amount of time there was only another party in ch1 during the first 2 hours of farming, the rest of the time there was no people in the map, so we cant explain how this can be happening, maybe the DPK its shared between servers?

P.S. Feel free to share your “rare item” box screenshots to encourage us to keep farming haha. (specially if its a weapon box)

DPK is shared by channels. So you can be alone in one channel, if the other channels have people, DPK is rolling for everyone.

More people farming better chances to get, or not. The last time I went in there I was on my Thauma FF2 and made a full group fast, they seemed to be after the purple boxes so me and my friend kept all the blue ones since no one wanted then.

We played for about 1 hour there and got 6 cubes (4 with me and 2 with my friend) all armor tho.

We already know that ^^, we constanlty look at other channels and as I said before, there was a huge amount of time with no people in the other channels and yet still we didnt get anything but armor boxes, and to be honest its pretty unlikley to get only armor boxes in that rate, since the DPK (according to some data) seems to be 500 for armor and 1000 for weapon, knowing that information and that we got 13 armor boxes and just 1 weapon box means that we missed about 5 weapon box drops, many of them could be due to the first 2~3 hours of the other party farming in ch1, but for the rest of the time it doesnt make sense xD

We always end up getting only armor cubes as well:( and our party consists on:
Cryo/chrono
Pelt/hop/Murmillo
Ele/WL x2
PD or monk/inqui

We kill pretty fast to be honest and yet we still only get armor cubes

i tried and it takes all of my skills to kill 1 monster and theres like 30 monsters on the map. never again

I’ve had similar results while farming for an extended amount of time, except for me the armour drops less frequently than the weapons. 2 hours of farming yeilds 5 weapon cubes and 1 armour cube on average. I’ve farmed for over 4 hours before without any purple drops, constantly checking to see if anyone else was on the same channel or others (there would rarely be others and they would rarely stay long).

All in all it’s tedious, frustrating and I loathe doing it. The best part about it is the fact that even if we get cube drops, there’s only a small chance of actually getting gear we want/need.

I can kill monsters pretty quickly, problem is the amount of damage they do me since my gear is pretty bad.

my girlfriend and i used to farm there everyday (2-3 hours a day) until last week then we gave up.
never seen a purple cube so we decided that it isnt worth our time.

I’ve got 3 purple before …2 being armor, and 1 weapon
but that’s only when in the 1st week release lol
after that …no more

I think this issue is heavily compounded by the fact that DPK has bugs. Everyone has encountered the situation where low dpk items just will not drop, despite having achieved the right DPK numbers. The fact that we had the large drama eruption around getting too-many drops is more than enough to confirm that suspicions surrounding the bugs in the sys system not giving any drops at all from time to time.

This makes it very difficult to assess whether numbers are good or not on the low drop rates.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. IMC should make all drops a flat % drop rate. People feel these are fair. And they do not cause anywhere near the quantity of drama that this system causes.

If it is IMC’s design intention to have any kind of competitive drop system in place then it should ONLY be in place on maps that are open-pvp. If you’re going to force people to compete over drops then let them fight properly for them. Make all other maps a simple % drop.

I’m beggining to question whether or not IMC is even working on resolving this issue, I’ve seen a few posts where they’ve said they will investigate but I am not too optimistic about the odds of “dpk” rates being fixed anytime in the near future. Hopefully I’m wrong.
Thing I’m gonna take a break from this game again until this gets resolved, or until we get another major update lol. The burnout is real right now :frowning:

Did you guys missed the dpk event two weeks ago? That’s was great, everyone getting purple boxes.

I thought that the DPK issue was resolved at this point :confused: , well today we will be doing a test and some math to further share information about this purple boxes at the moment.

IMO the “DPK + %” system its the best, however the HG boxes are 100% DPK and it seems to be kinda broken at the moment. I agree with you about the competitive drop system, it doesnt make sense.

Sadly we did, we missed the rewards from IMC too :c </3

0,1 for blue weapon and 0,01 for purple and everything is fine :<

imc needs to get rid of dpk all together, its too much along with the rng cubes.the 1 - 100% drop rate method is better

The secret to get HG cubes its farm in ch1, trust me, we farmed 1 whole week in ch2 and 3 without good results (5 to 7 hours daily), the very moment we started to farm in ch1 was a â– â– â– â– â– â– â–  cube drop fest (not really but it feel like it was since we didnt get weapon cubes in ch 2 or 3) so yeah, there are my 2 cents, purple cubes still dont drop anyways, at this point we all gave up on the purple weapons its easier to make the end game practo ones to be honest.

uri: Ah-ha! I almost forgot that this top-down system is all about counting. Well then, is it bound user-wise? Or map-wise?

Y: It’s a secret but… it’s bound map-wise. For example, if there is a monster with 500 DPK on Map Z and User A kills 100 monsters on channel 1 while User B kills 100 monsters on channel 2, both players have a 1/300 chance of an item drop.

The unfunny thing is, this is the same for not just that map, but some of the other HG maps.

It’s terrible. Hear that IMC? It’s terrible. Your DPK values are terrible. You should feel bad.

I have not farmed the 315 items very much but i’m not seeing how the current dpk thing is terrible like so many are saying. one thing to note is that 315 mobs die if you breath on them now so you will be killing them faster.

now you always have a rng chance for things to drop. someone will eventually get something which has always been the case in the past as well.

what do people want? for your cap to be filled up after being in a dungeon for 10 mins like the low lv HGS were doing?

IMC needs to fix their BUGS so things work as intended. they should make 315 mobs harder again and decrease the DPK a little bit.

I went into the 320 hg for an hour and left with 4 blue armor cubes. one was a double drop from a big mob.

please dont suggest a buff to the hg monsters. support characters are already suffering greatly there. and im assuming you high really high aoe and dps and the hg was empty because of the last sentence?
