Legit players BOT/EXPLOIT now too?

I have to say im a little disappointed that after all the anti bot talk on the forums and players asking for better measures to stop it. We get legit people that abuse exploits or bot themselves. I mean what is the point of stopping RMT and bots, when even players try to cheat the system instead of reporting bugs or potential exploits without taking advantage of them.

Needless to say i reported this person, but im also posting the in-game video for everyone to see, this is not oki people.

What you think will happen if 8mc dont do sny thing.
There bots that are here frim day one,have to gear unlike you. Imc dont look interested in doing any thing to the bots as well.

In a way is sad that is now moving toward normal people abusing the system as well, i have to say this does not look good. Iā€™m one of those that defended IMC during the rages because of bad server stability and the likes, but this time the problem is growing out of proportions rather quick.

Itā€™s just thegood old ā€œHold Z AFKā€ that some players have been doing eversince the iCBT2. Idk,I think what you should is send a ticket asking if this is considered "botting"by thestaff.

Since when is there an auto attack that makes you kneel? or are you did not see she is using kneeling shot(googled this as i dont play archer) while the sp is not moving?

If there would be a WIPE.
There should be:

  1. banish those that greatly benefited from the exploits.
  2. compensation((dungeon reset+talt) * (days since EA open))
  3. anti-bot/improved security.

WIPE because:

  1. I do not know if the Arde or talt iā€™ve bought from AH was duped/not fresh. If there is a unique ID for every item in this game, I guess they should have detected it in the first place. Old RO implements that.
  2. I do not know if the top PVP statues i would idolize are illegally boosted 280 or got godly duped items.
  3. I do not want my friend or guildmate infect me with a dupe item. Maybe those Dilgeles or Hanaming Petals were duped :scream:

I am already a rank 6.
I do not want to get smashed by a long/screen range Swordsman.
But if dupes or exploits cannot be handled, I guess a fresh start would be feasible.

since archer C2. Kneeling shot doesnt have duration nor does it consume SP during its use.

Except that it isnt ā€œHold Z AFKā€. If you noticed archer in question turns around to shoot in different directions. Simple ā€œHold Zā€ doesnt allow that. That means that he is using a little bit more sophisticated macro.

Are you trying to say that is her auto-attack, and that weird non-stop movement is a legit thing? cuz i think you are missing the point.

yep it is a normal attack, 2 hits are for main attack and added hit from cafrisun set coupled with arde dagger.

that weird moving is what will get her banned probably. Because that is a script/macro.

What did you expect in a grindfest like this? In games, especially f2p grinders there will always be people who will bot money or xp and then act legit. Im not surprised and imc is probably working towards it but cant stop everyone.

Not sure why youre surprised by this. Its simple macro/script that can be made in 2mins. With a gaming keyboard, even a retard can do it.

Pretty sure this isnā€™t a simple macro/AFK Z attacking because when there are no targets it spins around trying to find one.

Bots that arenā€™t kneeling do that weird ā€œlook everywhere around you for a targetā€ while moving.

Like theyā€™re moving downward but you see their model stutter to a different direction every second while still going downward. Clear indication of bot movement

Obviously a bot, look how it looks for target while spinning stupid and when it hits something it focuses it down.

@nizidr is correct. Kneeling shot was a popular AFK+Z tactic back in icbt2 because it increased the range and attack speed, but the rotation this player added is either via macro or script (or some mousetrap style gadget or rig that physically moves the mouse in that fashion).

I donā€™t mind someone holding a key. You can do that much in-game and IMC refuses to say if it is acceptable practice or not. But I do mind when someone automates it by external means.

Before the report function was added I saw a couple AFK+Z players who also taunted all the enemies in the area when their mana went up enough to do so. That kind of ā– ā– ā– ā–  doesnā€™t fly for me =P

So, yeah, I agree with your report, because I would have done the same thing. If they were simply just kneeling shot + Z then I wouldnā€™t have reported but would have instead found a way to kill them and then prance away giggling.
