Latest patch notes changes

I only made out the swordsman changes:

  • Both new skills for Rodelero can now be used twice before going on cooldown
  • Hoplite’s Spear Throw range has been increased
  • Swordsman’s Double Slash can now be used three times before going on cooldown
  • Peltasta’s Butterfly can now be used twice before going on cooldown
  • Rodelero’s Shooting Star can now be used twice before going on cooldown

I don’t know if adding more charges to a skill will make classes more balanced?
Rodelero is now a skill spamming class by the looks of it, most of its skills can be used more than once.

Hmmm… Double or triple casting does not make character stronger or more balanced IMO. It just slightly (depends on skill) improves your burst at the cost of double mana spending. I said -slightly- because at high ranks swordsmans have plenty skills and way too limited mana pool to do full rotation anyway. :unamused:

It also means more spam of useful skills, less ‘dps fillers’ in rotation - you decide if it’s bad or good.

Rodelero went from 0 to 100 real quick. Much needed buffs from the way it was before cbt3.

0-100? Doubt it.
Barbarian will still be the most sought after class if things don’t change, because it’s got the strongest buffs to support higher rank classes.
Rodelero still has 0 buffs.

That is a good thing i don’t want this to turn into WoW 1234 1234 1234. Currently timing of skills is more important then spamming which i like.

It was an expression. I’m not saying it’s the best at anything or whatever, i’m saying Rodelero has had quite a slew of buffs recently and is considerably a much stronger class than it was from say, cbt2. It’s definitely the most improved class in the swordie tree so far, it used to suck so hard.

Sure Rode doesn’t have buffs but in just c1 you have access to 4-6 pvp effective cc skills. It’s a good stand alone class in it’s own right now, or very close to it.

Are we sure each charge cost the full mana of the skill information? Or the full mana cost of a skill is divided by each charge? ^^

Rodelero and many of the swordsman classes are in a really nice place right now. Definitely a great pvp class.

CON is now extremely viable for swordsman because of the magic damage mob change/fix and the con boost and swordsman base hp boost.

Each charge costs full mana. Check out any video and you can see it. It hasn’t changed since they first put in charges.

Well yeah i didn’t check but anyway it’s good to know. Then for mana efficiency higher classes should be better ^^ but just for that.

It makes investing in SPR actually worth it. Still, auto attack Sword builds won’t be heavy on sp, just the skill spammers how I see it.

Yep anyway you have to change builds between the classes you pick anyway so having some SPR with class that uses a lot of mana should be worth it!

I’ve a lott of swordie builds that dont take barbarian lol. Their buffs arent needed at all.

But the AA builds don’t use alot of sp with their builds tho. If someone goes Highlander, Barb, then Corsair/Doppel for DPS, then they’re all about breaking the Z button and keeping buffs up. Won’t need SPR which is one reason why DPS sword builds tend to be brain dead face rolling machines that go full STR or DEX most likely. I dig it tho.

This is simply just what I could translate with the help of Google. Feel free to correct me!

Swordsman

  • Rodelero’s Shooting Star Damage type changed, knockback has been removed.
  • Added new skills and attributes to Highlander Class:
  • Skyliner (Circle 2)
  • Cross-Cut (Circle 2)
  • Vertical Slash (Circle 3)

Archer

  • Cloaking: Increased movement speed has been applied
  • Backstab: When you score a critical hit using Backstab from behind an enemy, your critical hit damage will be multiplied by 4 times.

My opinion:

More incentive to circle up to Highlander 2 or even 3 instead of Barbarian, eh?
Woot?! Personally, I’m torn between Archer 2 -> Sapper 2 -> Rogue, or Archer 3 -> Scout 1 -> Rogue.
Edit: Really love the name they picked for Highlander’s skills.

Squire don’t take too much mana either / o / :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s an attribute, that gives 1 mov speed, and has a level cap of 1. I guess it’s something.

Well, yeah, that’s something. 30 is the default number for movement speed, right? Not too… well, that’s something. Such a small boost, altough the 50% damage increase attribute from cloaking is still nice.

I would love to see if they make other skills more “useful” by the style of gameplay -
like a Cataphract Steed Charge - removing the charging time and increasing the CD to 25 seconds

Making the Prominence of an Elemantalist somewhat “controlable” with other buttons

Possibility to attack your own statues as Dievdirby - changing their directions or simply changing their locations by “pushing them” as you attack directly

Removing the Perch of a Falconer from the game - letting your falcon fly above you forever/until you give commands and being independant
Dunno if any of the above already worked/got newly included already

Can someone translate Rodelero’s new skills? The ones in TOSbase isn’t translated. I am curious on what those skills actually do.
