kTOS User Meetup Summary

Could you hyperlink or quote where people asked for that? Maybe I’m reading the wrong posts but as far as I know they just posted in the official kToS thread and made this official one while nobody asked for it. As said, I may be wrong so I’d like to know where do you get that information.

Q: How about allowing us to enter missions with a mercenary NPC or adjusting the mobs’ HP according to the number of party members?

A: Both suggestions are already being considered and have a chance of making it into the game sooner or later.

All I needed to know, it’s about time.

I do agree some p2w like features exist but I guess Im personally quite lenient on these as I’ve played heavy p2w games before. (Cash shop items better than anything in-game, cash shop items can’t be trade, a lot of rng included in the strenght of cash shop items etc. )

This is a bug and it has a fix on ktest server already, could assume ktos gets this fix tomorrow.

I think they did add something like optimization here before than ktos. i don’t know much about what they can and can’t do and I guess on most part here it’s just speculation. Either way it doesn’t improve our standing much. :confused:

There is a few items that we haven’t received. I’m sorry if I gave an impression there’s a lot, I was trying to only list out possibilities what they could add, there definitely could be exclusivity but then again some additions come to TP shop come really fast.

Ehh, I still like to believe that’s not entirely true. Some TP additions for sure is necessary for the business to keep going. I also think that they are just so heavily buried with bugs and problems and work on optimization etc. so it seems like they can’t get anything done.
However if it turns out TP updates only keep on going and nothing is happening with the game and they might even go p2w more, then I’ll eat my words on this agree that you were right on this all along.

Had, I’m quite sure this item was removed and discontinued until further changes on it. I guess people were displeased with it so they decided it was best to remove it.

Val and haukin openly requested it on kToS thread, even though the later did it on his own ‘playful’ manner. People from the discord server I take part of were also interested on knowing the content, and getting a fan to translated all the text would be so much work for that said person. I was considering ticketing them about it too.

Yes, forgot to mention something about this.

Essentially, I think the best way to solve Siauliai is to just scale everyone who’s in the queue to level 200, whether they are level 100 or level 330, scale their stats up or down. This will allow the queue to work even if the population declines to just 5 people between levels 100-330.

Although if you want the NPC characters to fill in the slots after wait time has been longer than x, then that would work as well but I would prefer the scaling solution because it gets people playing together, this is an MMO after all.

Yes, the P2W is very light at the moment, I hope it stays that way.

Not sure about that since our client settings has the (beta optimization) option and the user itself can turn it off. Been playing in jToS and thus options isn’t there, and despite the ping my fps are better.

Indeed TP stuff is necessary! With this TP income they could hire professional or something to help, if devs are the same as gm’s who basically show once a month in game and staff job is changing forum usernames we are already dead. It isn’t like they can’t do anything is more like they don’t want to do anything, at least that’s what it looks like.

If I see a huge turnover due to X incoming patch I’ll even create a new thread tagging you if necessary to let everyone know I have been wrong all the time, but in almost a year nothing similar happened and the only big update was rank 8 which brought a lot of already mentioned bugs.

Still, as we have both said, from a different point of views those are speculations and nothing is really stated, what I’m sure is that discussing with you is way better than doing it with people which point of view is the only thing right in this forum.

My bad then I ain’t paying really attention to ktos thread and only read some comments, no idea about discord tho.

I like how you guys address the current enchant scrolls. Sort of P2W but still conventional/doable.

At very high content, disconsidering the utility/defensive types (Defense, HP, Mov Speed), they are balanced and doesn’t pose much of a P2W measure, but rather it’s a convential way of acquiring more stats for those who want to get their gears to BIS tier.
However, as the values are static (and high), enchants destroy completely the early/mid content, for example I was able to hit 400 damage on a character level 5 with a basic attack :^).

I’d like to see some sort of scaling on enchants, having them to get a power scaling based on your base level would be good start, of course that this idea has to be refined.

DEF/HP enchants should get slightly nerfed.

Well at least I think before kToS, I have no idea on jToS. I haven’t been able to find any real answers what optimization measures they have compared to us, only that they’re ahead?

Hmm, in this regards and a few other things I would have hoped they had translated the whole meet up talk for us. There were things said about people leaving and a change in the director of the game etc. Would have been nice to see these things said here openly as well.

I agree, some changes should be made to this. Early content is not very hard to begin with and I think pardoner buffs (at lv15) on low level character gives a huge impact and makes the content a lot easier already, enchant only makes this way worse.

Then again after making multiple alts it’s something kind of nice as well. :smirk:

I lol’d hard since there is almost no item in a game which is supposed to be a mmo …

Between 5 and 10 generic items are usefull, no matter what is your class, sissel, peta, revhisan, arde/karacha, agny lul, cafrisun set, grynas set, virtov set and 1 sometimes 2 weapons class specific. You can do, you have to do around 200/250 levels with those until you reach the balanced practo weapon coupled with balanced transcendance system. There is no valuable items other than the previous one whatsoever … This is just sad.

Of course you cant build your character around a specific item (well in fact you can with the dont embarass yourself agny necklul), that would be too hard to realize for this company. And i’m not talking about statistics impact :slight_smile: but hey there is almost 80 different class lmao

Don’t think about the fked up economy, which cannot be statbilized again unless complete wipe (and the tears of Whale), thanks to the efficient bot hunting, and the well designed afk farmers Class.

You can add the hook64 era (hello soviet’n co) and bug exploits, the nice fps, the balance when you go to pvp or even pve.

I spent some money when game started, i was hoping the best for imc and TOS, i wanted to support this game, me and my friend were happy to play again like good old Ro times; this has to be the worst 40$ i ever spent in my life.

Now, we are just waiting this game to die, we have been clearly abused by imc, this is the way we feel.

If you assist another GM meeting, could you please ask them for me (and probably a lot of people too) what’s the stupid reason for our costumes costing 258 TP medals where on kTOS they’re 128?

Another question: Why the hell did you put a stupid “powerful force” in Alemeth? People keep getting stuck because of it… -_-

I am sure that even people without coding knowledge can do it in less time, actually, the patch was finished and live in less than 25 minutes after maintenance time.

4 hours patch might just be the pattern they take to do whatever they do and to make sure a few things are fine. As well the game is playable and accessible for everyone around 30 minutes-ish before maintenance end.

The 4 hours could be for example, backup routines, entire server restarts, DB scripts, data validation, who knows?

I do agree that it is too long for some patches but I don’t think it is a bad idea to have an average time window for all scheduled maintenance.

Anyway, I do think that there are thing that IMC can do better and everything and while not defending them we do know that they’re slowly changing their actions (which we can see they finally made one test server) and as well that we need to wait things get together in ktos too.

But right now, instead of criticizing concrete things, a lot of players are taking whatever they see without proper thinking and bashing IMC (and other players) with bad words, and it really does not help.

I kinda miss the days when they used to push hotfixes and not wait until next week’s maintenance sched. Right now, they only do it when there’s a major gamebreaking issue (e.g. the channel crashing command, etc.).

But it made me think - was this possibly the reason for the version-isolated issues we have now?
