kTOS makes most untradable item tradable

No different from WoW Heroics ^o.o^

Tradeable BiS gear is one of the main reasons I stopped playing Wakfu.

People can just RMT or exchange for BiS gear, negating their need to actually try harder content the Developers spend time on making.

I feel like the gear should be a reward for those participating in difficult events. Making it tradeable just kinda trivializes the existence of harder event instances.

I’ve played games where I could farm low-level or high need items that higher level players simply don’t want to waste time farming for, and then purchase BiS items with the money earned. Sure, in a way I earned the items by playing the market house or trading game in those games, but it negated any need for me to do the instance unless I want to go to help another group of people gear up.

That often doesn’t happen, because most people are selfish by nature and won’t bother participating in difficult event instances unless they need to ^o.o^

Still, there will only be as many lolopanther items in the market as “hardcore” players decide to put in circulation. It’s not like RMT’ers could farm them like they farm silver and BB’s. Yes, they will bot to farm the silver to buy them, but I honestly prefer the tons of millions those bots will offer me, which will go to attributes and the new R8 gear than having my stats a little bit higher

the point here, is that everything ever released in this game NO MATTER HOW HARD OR HOW LONG IT TAKES TO GET can be obtained by any RMT user in a matter of minutes

new raids released? COOL! ET now goes up to floor 50 and takes 3 hours to complete? FUN!

everything in the game you obtain is tradable? AWESOME

i bet you wont be feeling this though, when 5 months from now your level 400 character finally finished ET floor 50, and realized it was all for nothing because RMT users already have everything in the game from day 1 of release by using mommys credit card

its not about the equipment out now, its about future updates becoming pointless to do.

all mmo’s have a raid-tier system where u must do dungeons to obtain gear for your characters, this isnt runescape where u can just buy gold and get best in slot gear on day 1 of making your account

But it’s going to be when the update hits, so either accept it or quit

do you not even think for 5 seconds before posting an opinion? theres team storage for a reason. not everything should be for profit. it encourages RMT

On a tangent, each type of cube only drops one type of essence each. The chance is of Lv. 1 Earth Fragment, which people will need in abundance to craft items post-R8 anyways due to the nerf to quantity drop.

My point was that what makes sense in other games, i.e. items from end game content being bop, doesn’t necessarily make sense in ToS. Those games have a group to distribute loot to, so the wrong piece for you is probably the right piece for someone else. And in the few cases of individual loot, said loot is often tailored for your class. On the other hand, we have ToS where you aren’t likely to get anything, and if you do get something it isn’t likely to be what you want, and when that happens you can’t do anything with it. While I’d prefer it if they fixed the first parts (i.e. not likely to get anything and what you get isn’t what you want), fixing the last part, by letting us sell and buy the recipes, will work as well.

If only useless stuff is dropping then you’ve probably been farming for a while, hence the qualification. And even then, most games have some sort of salvage system, where you can break down the gear into components that are useful for other game systems, e.g crafting, enchanting, runeing, etc.

You do realize that players need to obtain and sell these items for RMTers to be able to buy them? Virtov recipes aren’t going to be on the TP shop, but they will finally be leaving the inventories of people who have been running the 240 dungeon and consistently getting the wrong pieces. This day one bis RMT is nonsensical hyperbole that doesn’t help your argument at all.

Or how about just making them transferable through team storage? Then no matter what you get it wil be useful to you since you can use it a on a different character. This game is focused around having multiple characters after all.

Im not against them making more things tradeable though. Just the best items should be only through team storage. We will probably be getting what ktos has though.

I know what youre trying to say… but it feels like youre just taking pieces from different games to think up the perfect system that you like. The reason the items wont be useful is because if good items drop every time they will be worthless since items drop all the time for everyone. Unless they are bind on pickup which means untradeable and you also get useless items anyway since maybe you cant use it. The need or greed system does help with this though.

Since you mentioned wow, When i played wow you could spend a month doing MC and never get anything. One run takes all night unless your geared to the teeth in which case all your guild gets out of the runs is shards. Sure items drop everytime, but you could get the same piece of gear drop everytime. it happens. Then if something did drop you had to compete with 8 other people in the same class to get it. Not to mention learning curve of trying to kill the same boss for weeks and no drops. No game is created equal and what works in some games wont work in all.

Also while you get more items drops in wow, the market was dull and nothing worthwhile on there since the good stuff is bind on pickup. If they were tradeable they would drop so often you couldnt sell for anything. They would also be so cheap there would be no reason to run the dungeon. There are tradeoffs with everything. There was some good items that were tradeable… but the drop rate was low just like here.

But yes, with the low drop rates everything could be tradeable here and it would work. i just dont want the very best items to be tradeable.

dude…this game got hidden features to play…it called LUCK…without luck u are just a player without those untradeable eq except lolo…

have u seen qs3 3 month doing saalus without drop didel?..have u seen player 3 month doing virtov but cant complete one of their parts?

if u want to stop playing then stop no one force u to play…this move by IMC actually made A LOT OF player happy…if some selfish people doesnt happy what can be done.

RMT occur in every mmo, u cant stop that…if u dont want RMT occur then suggest IMC make all item in game untradeable…and that way u can get your item through your HARD EARN EFFORT…if u got luck lol!!..if u are unluckly then join to the world forever hunting same dg over a month repeat forever…

Difficult or Lucky event is different…saaluss and virtov not even difficult…it just pure luck and RNG…this RNG system is sux…u need to get your fact right difficult or lucky is different dude

im not saying everyone does, but its a known fact theres ET exploits

I log in occasionally to do events and get event TP to unlock character slots. I don’t really “play” the game since the current end-game and meta just aren’t appealing to me.

Just FYI I’m not against Bind-on-Account trading for BiS items since it would encourage people to make new characters to make use of items dropped. I just personally don’t think non-binding BiS items is healthy design for the longevity of the game.

Yeah and when you run actual raids with in-depth mechanics, you still need to be lucky to actually drop the items you need and also have priority to receive said item.

If they switched to a BoA or BoP theme they can afford to increase drop-rates or improve rewards for the amount of time people spend in dungeons, because the items would be centralized to people who participate in the event vs people who don’t.

Meaning I didn’t acknowledge current end-game as “difficult” as much as it is grindy… so I feel like you misunderstood my statement.

What I meant was that if actual raid-like bosses/encounters with more depth to the mechanics started to arise in the world of ToS then I absolutely feel like those encounters should have BoA or BoP items, no questions asked.

In RO everything was fully tradable, all it meant was that if you got the gear you can continue to resell it and make more zeny.

This game has a ton more silver/zeny sinks than RO did, namely the millions upon millions you can spend on attributes. I really don’t see this as a huge deal.

Only people who would complain about free trade are people who are pretty self-entitled.

People speak about RO a lot, but in the end its a niche game with a loud minority of players that appreciate its outdated design.

I’m against non-binding BiS items being sold because it trivializes player participation in end-game content. Not because I’m “self-entitled” as you claim ^o.o^

I only agree with untradable BiS gears that don’t come from being lucky in daily cube RNG rolls.

They need to revamp the whole cube rolling to get BiS gears. It drives QS3 crazy that untradeable Didel Grand Cross is only obtainable by getting a jackpot in Saalus cube rollings.

The great things in RO was the card system trumps the equipment system. I never liked the concept of all-in-one BiS gear in WoW; every equip should have its own benefits and drawbacks. For example: Ice Armor is better in snow field maps, while Fire Armor is better in volcano maps.

I am all for situational BiS gear instead of all-in-one BiS gears. There should be more to the game than ET gears. Please don’t spoonfeed wannabe hardcore players who only knows to wear all-in-one BiS gears; versatility and creativity should be the hallmark of a game like ToS.

All-in-one untradable BiS gears are cancer; pairing them with limited daily cube RNG rollings is a stupid game design. That is why making them tradable will save unlucky players from ragequitting ToS altogether.
