KToS General Thread v5.0

this one, just rebalance the skill points (Restoration and Resist Element to 5 max skill points are the most important)

It wouldn’t hurt to give Demolition a 2nd Overheat either.

Yeah I’m curious what kind of economy they were picturing when they changed CMs

I’m assuming they thought that most people would start depending on Gabija coins and that it would be a fair trade for the silver we used to get… but I think they underestimated how important the market is

IMC pulls out their usual Korean lore modus operandi once again.

I know you are just trying to act humorous and meme-tic, but I am still a little bit triggered though. Why is IMC making a Korea-oriented class “out of ideas”? Have you ever tried to understand the history of Hwa Rang (화랑) or Tiger Hunter (산포)? And why is it a big deal for a Korean gaming company to create a class based on Korean culture/history? I just don’t get your joke here.

I’ve always had a pet peeve with the types of classes introduced with the lore and setting of the game in mind, but yes, it’s a biased and personal opinion of mine. I do apologize for triggering you with my narrow-mindedness and will stop doing it in the thread henceforth.

:fearful:

So is it just a bow class or musket and bow?

To my limited understanding, it looks like a bow class that has various utilities to make your attack range (or something of that sorts) bigger, as evidenced by that Swordsman’s Bash hitting further and how Arquebusier’s Dusty Salute AoE got bigger when the Hwarang switched to Musket. I recall there was a leak some time back about a skill from the new class called “Brotherhood”, so maybe its that type of party utility (assuming that skill has anything to do with this new class).

I could very well be wrong, have to wait for more information.

Edit:

Heck, digging previous posts:

There are some skill names that corresponds to the skills used in that video to some extent.

I can’t help but feel reminded of Ganyu’s charged shot gimmick from Genshin Impact looking at the first skill showcased in the new Archer class video. It even has different charge level animations and a debuff that comes with it. :face_with_monocle:

Did the three of them just flip each other off?

Can someone explain to me the proposed buff skill changes?

I really dont know how to feel about these canonie changes until i see the numbers.
I like the howitzer arts for cannon shot, looks cool, but adding casting time on canonie skills? Ehhhhh Its like we’re going back to pre-animation buffs.
The increased cooldown isn’t really a nice thing either cause i already have downtime with my current build. I guess more time for doing mechanics i guess?
The Cannon Blast channeling is REALLY WEIRD, but im up for trying it in practice before complaining about it. Sweeping cannon -20s cooldown from vaivora4 is going to be extremely helpful for Canonie.
Im also a bit bummed out about losing the magic circle break from siege burst, and moving it to sweeping cannon (with a cooldown increase to boot!) which means nobody will use it.

Im gonna miss Canister shot, it was a really nice AoE damage over time skill, but the artillery shell also looks pretty cool and should fill the same utility (with -20s cooldown reduction from VVR4 for probably 20s cooldown) compared to 40s cooldown on canister. I hope they stop to consider how important removing Crouching Strike Lightning is, and compensate in the skill factors/multihits accordingly.

Also the combo of Snipers Serenity + Cannon weapon is lost now, so i gotta pick up a new class. Looks like Arquebusier might be back on the menu with its new low cooldown filler attack and overall less busy skills, but maybe i’ll do something gimmicky like Cannon-Matross-Hwarang/Ranger/Fletcher

Im staying hopeful, canonie will be saved, i believe.

Wait a minute… Ein Sof will be nerfed?

Believe in the Holy Flame set that believes in you!

So IMC used the opportunity they had as they were working on a Bow class to rework the Bow archetype, and them followed with a rework for the musket and cannon archetypes? All on the same patch?

Wow…that is a LOT!

Fletcher reloads their quiver, Ranger is the “mobility” archer, Mergen…is Mergen-ing around with AOE, as always, Musketeer feels more rapid-fire without “Sniper’s Serenity”, Tiger Hunter is…hunting better (?), Arquebusier is better at AOE-ing (or I dunno, those changes are weird to read until we see the numbers). Meanwhile, Cannoneer…is saved? For the 10th time? And I hope the new Matross isn’t as clunky as now.

So, about the new class…“Hwarang” is the name of the new class. I wonder if they will change when hits iTOS.

They should’ve implement the segregated buff effect before they nerf hundreds of buffs since years ago, now the buff class owner will just suffer especially when it’s the main thing it’s offer for its own class or it’s own tree e.g that ein sof or old aiming. The case always a buff become too good for another tree skill, and the answer to it is they nerf the buff instead apply this kinda segregated buff effect. It’s long time pain suffered for many classes yet those good effects won’t just return.
