Oof… just +1 orb.
There’s your consolation prize, Lightning Orb.

sadly yes
most of times new cleric goodies not that good but they will still nerf it
its like cleric edition thing.
remember entity-hamaya?new gevura?right of light arts?
remember they nerf tomahawk arts and recently rebuff it?? no no that wont happen to cleric ā– ā– ā– ā–
damn i cant wait till these new cleric stuffs get nerf just so imc being imc
also wait til they turn ripper into strike rofl

at lv 1, Monk vaivora is stronger, while at lv 4 Inquisitor vaivora is stronger. If we consider the multi-trigger a bug, Inquisitor Vaivora boosts God Smash damage by about 17000% within 15 seconds, while Monk would produce about 15000% - 30000% within the same 15 seconds as long as you use a Monk skill every 5 seconds.
Both God Smash and Double Punch are not ideal for investment since their basic output is low, making you want to prioritize other, stronger skills first, that require less management.

The one advantage the Monk vaivora has is the 1480 strike damage amplification, which affects all Monk skills [all are strike attribute on KTOS]. You shan’t forget that without Inquisitor vaivora, your God Smash is useless if you play with Monk and Inquisitor, and so far there are not decent alternative skills in there, either (forever forgotten after all the nerfs are Pear of Anguish, Malleus Maleficarum and Iron Maiden), so if you love your Inquisitor, use its vaivora and not Monks, even if Monks vaivora is better for DPS.

The good thing is that in contrast to Inquisitor, Monks don’t need a lv 4 vaivora since its effect is partially locked behind steep investment again for the maximum possible result, being less than 10000% additional damage per second of channeling Double Punch.
Having access to a 45% Cool down time reduction on Ripper is on a complete other level, since it is already buffed by Inquisitors basic features (Judgment, Breaking Wheel, extra damage per hit of continuous channeling, 15% defense ignore by attribute) as well as equipment (goddess channeling set, Inquisitor vaivora damage boost after 3x God Smash), guaranteeing you 100-200m damage every 44/30/24 seconds with the right equipment and buffs.

The Ktest values are still object to change, though, so maybe Monk vaivora lv 4 will be changed accordingly to focus on another skill instead, making it obligatory to reach lv 4 asap just like Inquisitor.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they actually give Zealot a conversion attribute to magic Cleric to keep the attributes and change the physical form to slash type to accommodate Inquisitor builds, which has its strongest skills in the slash type category. my guess is that Inquisitor will become a slash & strike hybrid class to fit with Zealot, Chaplain, Paladin, Krivis, Druid, and Monk.
So far only Druid and Zealot have a potential for slash damage, while the rest is focused on strike, but I don’t believe IMC will force all of Inquisitors skills to become strike type and unite Cleric as strike or magic, as it seems to be silly.
There is also the option that Zealot might be able to convert all damage into slash property with Fanaticism (would be a great way to remake the useless skill art) in the future, we will have to stay tuned.

the echo, is a buff that increases add. dmg in the F1(if yes, how much time?) or it increase only one hit when active?

Inquisitor and its Vaivora remains strong, relevant and stellar, and its capabilities remains excellent regardless of whichever Monk Vaivora version gets here.

With that said … right now I don’t give a rat’s arse about Inquisitors at this point. The whole Physical Cleric sub-category has been forced with Inquisitors for far too long with one reason being the only Physical Cleric class with a Vaivora, and what’s more important for me is that Physical Clerics finally have more than 1 Vaivora to choose from for Vaivora Requirements in auto-match content and class builds. With how much Vaivoras boosts the power of a class, the new Vaivoras allow for more diverse Physical Cleric builds to be relevant instead of being locked behind Inquisitor-Zealot (or new Krivis in future) variants.

WBR rankers, meta chasers and DPS fanatics will duke it out whichever Vaivora is better or if this allow Physical Clerics to match Magic Clerics, and may even get both to manual swap both Vaivoras for spamming Ripper off cooldown and filling the time with Monk Vaivora, but I couldn’t care less. Monk finally gets a Vaivora, its a great Vaivora with an excellent effect that’s not trash, it allows Monks to be good without taking Inquisitor in the Cleric tree’s current state and its not a 1H-Mace. I do want more class changes on Monk itself but this is a great start, baby steps~

:innocent:

Considering how IMC grouped physical/magic attributes, Zealot’s (as it is) Fanatic Illusion and Emphatic Trust will probably be Strike while Immolation will be Slash or Pierce, I can’t remember (or Strike if IMC changes the whole class to Holy like what they did with Krivis and Divine Stigma).

They changed it from ā€œdouble orbsā€ to ā€œ+1 hitā€, but this +1 hit is actually +1 hit per hit dealt (so doubles the number of hits). Basically it is the same

I think it is still Blindfire, but google translation is messy. According to tos-kr.neet.tv:
ė‚œģ‚¬ = Blindfire
ė‚œė™ 부리기 = Rampage
The lv4 effect is ė‚œģ‚¬ ģµœģ¢… ėŒ€ėÆøģ§€ +100%
The ģµœģ¢… ėŒ€ėÆøģ§€ +100% part means ā€œfinal damage +100%ā€, so the skill affected by this final damage increase is ė‚œģ‚¬, which should still be Blindfire. I don’t know Korean, just supposing, so better someone confirm this

It’s still Blindfire.

Can someone confirm that vaivora in indeed full double punch SFR , because according to inven it’s only 20% of an actual hit , which is about 400% per hit(with attribut art) , not 20% of the whole combined sfr…

here context : http://www.inven.co.kr/board/tos/4198/89276

according to other post , lv4 effect is good , but lv1 monk vvr effect is trash.

now if that is true or not i don’t really care but i’m actualy wondering how it actualy work sfr wise

A single Double Punch Hit = 980%, 20% of that = 196%
Full Double Punch = 23,520%, 20% of that is 4704%
Palm Strike = 5393%

Disclaimer, kTest and kToS stuff may change here and there so don’t take this as the complete truth, so with that said, here’s a picture of using Palm Strike to activate Monk Vaivora Lvl 1’s mobbing effect AKA 20% x 2 (I have full enhance on Monk skills here).

I have no clue what those INVEN users are talking about, but hopefully this answers it.

EDIT: Oh yeah I forgot to mention I did some more testing, both Monk Vaivora’s Lvl 1 effect (Damage proc based on Double Punch) and Monk Vaivora’s Lvl 4 effect (Additional hit based on Palm Strike on each Double Punch hit) aren’t affected by Dahlia Goddess armor.

well to be honest the PD’s VV is still top tier

Im also wondering about this. Since it’s final damage, that means it would have a 20% chance to increase the damage of pridetti by 150%.

Lmfao, reused pet skin with same effect but then make it stronger and make all your previous pet purchase obsolete.

At least make it not a freaking bunny.

to be fair, if they enabled a fusion option to fuse companions with one being a base that covers the appearance and the other being the materials that supplies the aura effect, IMC could make so much money with these cash companions, but so far they don’t want to make stable incomes and rather focus on selling resets and gambling loot boxes for money.
It’s the same problem like back then with the class costumes (3rd Circle) that were discontinued although they provided income for a low initial investment.

Maybe IMC will one day hire someone with the smarts to manage the monetization in a way that provides the buyer more options to make use of his purchase and not just result in a purchase & stuck situation (for example the botanic set, which could easily be upgraded for a continuing performance via a TP shop item).

kisaragi gave a good suggestion they could make costumes for the companions too, although I don’t think the effect of this last pet is that good.
