well this is very bad since the game team already complains about the lack of staff now they will have to spend more time to fix something that as said by tom should have come ready.
Focusing too hard on the wrong things.
Relics are just not an enjoyable system. Giltine is a hard raid but it doesnât fix the core problem that relics are effectively dead on arrival. No one likes them, no one wants a temporary buff that they need to recharge, no one likes several more layers of RNG, or the sheer grindiness of leveling them/getting gems, no one likes a single aspect about relics.
Giltine is just an extension of that problem. The fight has many interesting aspects about it, but IMC is too vague in how they present those features of the fight as theyâre intended to be. So vague that even when bashing your head against it for several days straight, you uncover something new about it completely by accident. Itâs also an extremely long fight, which means you get fewer attempts in. Itâs a guild raid, so no one wants to talk about the mechanics in fear of helping others and compromising their blockade ranking, and so on. But the inverse problem is also something that IMC suffers fromâmaking things âdifficultâ by just making something extremely tanky and with very few mechanics (Boruta). Go out of their way to make something take 20 minutes when previously people were downing it in a couple. Prevent you from doing it multiple times the same day. All things which in no way are designed to be enjoyable, but explicitly not enjoyable.
I agree 100%. The relic system is just awful. To list a few of its many problems:
- Release relic being such a short duration buff, yet it costs so much silver, time and effort to recharge it.
- Having to complete the hardest legend raid in the game to charge the relic. Haha no.
- The immense cost of upgrading gems.
- The game doesnât even show the % chance of success when upgrading gems, wtf.
- The cost of levelling the relic itself. To be fair, thereâs no Rng involved in this, but the benefit of levelling the relic is very small compared to the cost.
- The gems being untradable. Got the BiS healing black gem when you are a dps? Though luck, dismantle.
Itâs clear that they put some effort into the relic system, with so many new UI elements, 3 versions of the Giltine raid, 2 versions of the Res Sacrae instance, etc etc. And itâs obvious they intended it to be a major silver sink. But the benefit just isnât worth it.
Yet the system is so obnoxious that only the top 1% of the playerbase will ever bother trying it out. The majority of the players will just equip the crown for +10 all stats and forget about it. And if they end up getting a decent black gem from the 20b WBR cube, cool, they will equip it at lvl1 and forget about it too.
At the end of the day, Iâm just tired of Imc adding content only a minuscule part of the playerbase will ever interact with. So much for the casual content they promised a while ago huh.

I agree on most complaints, especially on the issue of reloading the system more easily and showing the percentage of failure as with the legendary cards, although I find the system potentially interesting because of some effects and others even more interesting in the future but I disagree with this conversation about only 1% being able to do such content as the same thing has always been said about moringa and glacia and now they are made with relative ease this type of raid and system are made to last for some time and not for everyone to be able to do easily or get it all as soon as it debuts.
And sincerely I think they should release some content not so dependent on equipment.
I think relic has a lot of possiblities in terms of impactful stuff that could be possible, but the sheer costs behind leveling and grinding relic to high level and leveling gems, makes it hard to maximise the effects of your relic, and then when the ultra dedicated people or plain rich players manage to level theirs to a high degree, they will have an absolutely huge undeniable advantage.
Its like an overexaggerated version of Ark, except the scaling is much bigger and slower, and obviously requires even more grinding to utilise in the end.
Overall i like having a tool that could bring out strength at a higher cost than usual, but the grind behind actually making that âtoolâ meaningful and worth the material cost of using it is very steep.
Canât wait for raids to be balanced around having over 20k patk bonus from relic active.
Yes the grind is big and expensive but IMC has already commented that it will increase the drop of some up items in the Korean forum and for me the biggest problem is that IMC invents new systems (which can be interesting) too often if that res sacrae remain as the main system of ep 13 in a few months the players will start to follow the problem is that knowing the IMC it will not give that time to the players in my view the ideal now would be the IMC to launch something more casual to balance with the grind of res sacrae as for example revitalizing the tower defense of saalus which in my view has a lot of potential to become something fun.
Also the fact that Relic Dungeon gives 0 silver and xp, on top of being long and tedious, on top of preventing swap that makes Scout useless, on top of making you required to do way more runs than necessary (Should be less reset and more rewards) further make the new contents less enjoyable.
Donât get me started with that awful time gated reputation system that requires you to upgrade 3 regions to lv3~4 to even maximize your card, yet you are time gated with 1900 reputation each week. (Yeah right, 3~4 months of daily grinding just to upgrade a new card. Sure.)
yeah Relic Dungeon is so bad, 12 times per week which 95% of the time drop you 10 coal and each run take as long or even longer than lepi hard or ww hard
also success rate seems very low for any options in pyro lab trying already fusion things and just bye-bye silver and mats
combining [though more like crafting but hey its imc translation] or leveling re sacrae gem is a joke too. they dont even add % success chance. they just mention âtryâ.gg development. dismantle doesnt even tell how much coal you get. truly a half hearted work.
if anything should be push rightaway to itos its the new caps of reputation item exchange limit become 1k.
this, why couldnâ t they give us 5 boxes per dg and reduce the weekly tickets to 1 and only give us 1 entry week, 2 times a week inside this dg seems enough. I thought they learnt their lesson by removing those stupid long dungeons from the game, but out of nowhere they decided to recycle them and on top of that insanely buff the monsters and add annyoing mecanics.

we need Tos 2.0 with fine engine reworked balance and class system that all classes can shine where no meta builds but teamwork rules with healthy gathering and crafting system with fair drop rate and no roulettes with World bosses when all participants have rewards (and then maybe depends on rng have something atleast usefull not totally crap) with cross server market, with silver from monsters and reworked loot chance system/stat that affect any drop in game and have sense to make drop oriented chara,with some pets that can be obtained as reward, with settings for low spec pcs,with different pvp scenarios like some pvp oriented zones with some valuable things needed for craft etc,guildwars wich affect some areas and have bonuses for winners on this maps,with some cool puzzles or gimmicks that also give you something cool like some outfit things emotes or gestures with more customization for character creation, and for tp shop here must be only cosmetics and weapon accesories skin,and for housing also some craftable and dropable things 
they again play it wrong from so many aspect of res sacrae but this time its worse than seal gear.

the worst of all is multiple layer of RNG obviously, and the top of it is getting the gem that you actually need which is untradeable means you are on yourself with the RNG, no whaling no funneling haha. you can whale the gem box on market but honestly who would buy that currently overpriced box over sickening RNG to get something that you may not need and gonna stay dead with your characters with no prospect of reselling?RNG masochist?maybe. dismantling is your only option lol
the next to it is RNG from crafting gem itself, or they oddly call it combining, from prismcoal+bg+silver. i tried two attempts of crafting gem, waste 600 coal iirc, some bg and silver in the process out of curiousity just by believing in statement âtryâ with no detail of %chance or method to boost the success rate, both of em failed hahah. i think the amount of mats per try is worth like 10m including the silver needed.
then leveling gem that i havent tried yet because you need res sacrae level that unlock lv 2 gem and apparently even lv 2 res sacrae still cant wear lv 2 gems lol. that info is nowhere to be found officially.not even info about what level actually it unlock lv 2 gem or even res sac max level.maybe there is out there but i believe its unofficial not from imc itself which is another disappointing point from the dev
and the last feature that not even RNG is dismantling gem that also an incomplete feature that doesnt even tell you how much prism coal you get from dismantling.
i can take the rest of the situation like it is being temporary boost but its stats can be crazy high, the need to feed them or level them, how it change weapon appearance which is cool, but everything above are kinda unacceptable.
this gear and its feature truly half-hearted work just so later on they can sell a box of ectonites, prism coals, breath of power and maybe the gem it self in leticia cube

I couldnât find any info about this on the english post about it, but im pretty sure their korean post stated that the max relic level is 20, and the maximum level is equal to half of the relics level (which is why lv2 relic still uses lv1 gems)
