The SFR numbers of Retaliation vs Ring of Light, RIng of Light wins. If you really wanna pick up Retaliation, 1 point should be the max. RoL vs Retaliation point for point, RoL has better numbers. This is regardless of having the VV or not.
RoL does 8 hits normally and can be used twice as much as Retaliation. Even if RoL, couldn’t be used twice as much as Retaliation, just one cast is still more than Retaliation.
This will be even more so when the Art for RoL comes out. RoL damage will be nearly 4x stronger point for point than Retaliation.
I like Pardoner’s skills in concept, it’s more gifted than Alchemist or Squire, but my main issue with Pardoner is that it’s poorly put together and lacks functionality by design.
First there’s Discerning Evil which has the potential to be a cool skill, but offensively it’s a single target, moderate cool down attack unless you spread it with a holy magic circle…which is fun synergy until you realise that the only clerics with holy magic circles are Kabbalist, Miko, Crusader and Exorcist, none of whom really utilise and stack plentiful debuffs or DoTs in a way that can bring out the skill’s true potential. Of the lot, Kabba and Miko are probably the best, but even then you’ll stack maybe 2 debuffs at most. Then you think “hmm, can’t I extend Plague doctor poison duration on a single target and spread the extended timer with Pandemic?” But of course that doesn’t work.
Decatose for what it is has meagre scaling and is rarely worth using as an offensive skill, but IMC isn’t even caring enough to make it a holy spell circle so Pardoner can have self synergy.
I just want these classes to be treated with a bit more respect. They have always been neglected and only given sloppy token buffs. Alchemist still has that silly workshop ui which serves no actual purpose as you can only install one type of potion.
It’s a strong healer, the issue is that its utility is overshadowed hard by cooldown reduction and things which increase damage for others more directly/noticeably.
have all these changes come to the clerics gone through, changed anything ? or not yet left the test server?
These changes are still on the test server.
Can anyone confirm what the mats needed to upgrade your overlord/dahlia armours to level 2 and 3?
Is it 1 completed divine piece + 3 dark red stone pieces per level (max 10 lvl) before you can upgrade them?
Yes, 20 vvr transmute powders, 1 completed divine piece, 3 dark red stone piece, 20 sierra stones for +1 exp, +2 exp at low chance, and +max lvl at even lower chance.
Lvl 1 > 2 is 10 exp, and Lvl 2 > 3 is 25 exp. So, good luck
this week’s ktos patch note preview
Not going to lie, I’m quite excited to see what will IMC change about Magic Clerics going from KTest to KToS (if at all), and whether the changes IMC will do can hint at the kind of testing results and KToS player feedback IMC has received (like not going forward with Druid’s Seed Bomb and Thorns change as they found that its too dumb, or Crusader’s healing nerf or something), just because of the implications on Magic Clerics going forward and also how unpredictable IMC is.
Or going forward with it and adding a good sfr bump as compensaton/buff.

Nerf me harder baby!
I wont be top now.
I may not be the perfect person to say this, but dang I can’t fully decribe how I personally dislike these new instances that require specific gears. Yes, I do understand these are designed to be hard and it suck to match with people with “less than desired” setup, but this I feel is too much.
Are we forgetting that the point of playing is to have fun? I think it is too much “do this do that, have this have that” mentality they are feeding the players. On top of mindless farming and multiple layers of RNG this game already has…
So, from KTest to KToS, they …
- Adjusted Exorcist’s Vaivora so it doesn’t get screwed up by damage cap (50% x 4 hits instead of 200%)
- Nerf Druid’s Sterea Troph’s damage from 30% to 20% when using its 30 min attribute
- Nerf Chant’s damage buff from 60% to 45%
- Chant Arts buff wasn’t brought over
- Kept Holy Smash at 2 Overheats instead of 1 in KTest
- Adjusted Ring of Light Art’s uptime from 30s uptime 75s cooldown to 20s uptime 45s cooldown
- Increased Aukuras’s uptime from 30s uptime 60s cooldown to 30 minute buff
- Divine Stigma’s defense ignore changed from 20% to 5%
The only clear winner here is Krivis (and a lil on Physical Cleric), though its a bit arguable for Sadhu with Prakriti adding to its skill point troubles. Aukuras can also pseudo-aggro any monsters around the player, so its an added bonus for field farming mobs that aren’t aggro on sight and a QoL change so one does not have to worry about having Pardoner Card or timing Zaibas/Divine Stigma uptime for Piety. To be fair, Krivis deserved these buffs, so good for them.
With that said, I’m rather convinced that IMC is balancing DPS Clerics by bringing Magic Clerics down closer to the level of Physical Clerics instead of bringing Magic Clerics up to the level of other DPS builds (and later on, Physical Clerics). It seems to imply that IMC intends for Cleric DPS builds to never be on par with DPS builds from other class trees in the first place, which sounds like a shame unless Cleric DPS brings more than just DPS to the party.
EDIT: I only just noticed, KTest Aukuras’s functions also got changed going into KToS, where it went from being an additional damage buff for party that applies to your additional stat window, into an additional damage buff for self that adds straight into your attacks instead of your additional damage stat
… or TL;DR Aukuras’s additional damage probably does not get included into Karaliene/Luciferi Prideti and Chaplain Vaivora effects.
failing a raid because a guy has varna gear is not fun.
also, the only raid locked on automatch is the HARD giltine, rest you can do with normal party, no gear restriction.
i think thats because healer can do any content with Varna and still good, i have healer with varna and cannot die from stack 40 WW hard my magic defense is around 150k with buff , when using DPS with full glacia +16 i die many times
i hate to believe this but this seems to be the truth
its sad to main cleric dps with this direction
its basically telling you you cant be top dps as cleric who main their build as dps
then why with the guardian saint changes then?
reducing cleric heal greatly for more dps even though its their identity?
this is so inconsistent
do you want to make cleric dps equal by sacrificing healing, or just sacrificing healing just to make it mediocre in all aspect?
and thats not the only problem obviously
why bother main cleric dps when with same investment or even lower you can get higher dps output, having better skillsets and combo to deal with contents, and get pt easily?
for example like having lv 4 outrage vv vs lv 1 orbital vv
it may be lv 4 outrage with lower cd ripper but you might end up deal more dmg with lv 1 orbital vv, and parties will probably want you more as well
right now, not only cleric, the purpose of sticking to your fav class is solely based on the love of the class/build idea/concept, and the long wait for buff/fix
if you aim for the top, leaderboards, you wouldve play meta like a robot now
but when you dev just keep torturing, neglecting, and then when its finally these classes turn to get some hope, no matter how someone love a class/build they will disgust with the direction you go like in this patch.
the long wait is wasted.
for example how could you just stop carnivory change there? it was garbage and its still rotten garbage. it only fixes the issue of the need of killing mobs to plant these garbo plants, and thats like 10% of the skill problem.
why every class must have garbage skill, very situational skill, very narrow pvp purpose skill like iron maiden for example
whats the point of attribute or even arts? do we we have to wait many wave of rebalance until a class skill “fixed”? you will end up losing more playerbase that love the class by the time you rebalance a class
you dont even fixed sometimes you just reuse like what happened to inquisitor artS
i got it that if cleric got dmg as well they will technically op cause they basically have all from support, heal, even tank. a very self sufficient tree indeed but then it makes them mediocre in all when combined, and now even when they try to focusing on dps as well
i dont main wiz, they got buffed nice, better than this cleric patch, and if im fan of wiz, and im trying to remember what this game shouldve promise, freedom of building characters, im so disgusted by the direction that now they dictate what class should i pick, how should i build my class to be optimal
they could ve make tons of synergies across classes in a tree, in a form of skills interaction or attribute interaction, which they did, but they refuse to go that path now cause its requires lot of works and management and more rebalance as well
instead they make the game more and more linear
this is contrary of “rebuild” cause every buildings are almost the same. the developer is either too lazy or too cheap to add creativity to it.
on top of it the end game content is not fun at all. even the new one. its just another braindead grind.
gl for those who still around. i cant witness this endless rebalance anymore.
bye.
Rebuild dream

It would benefit IMC to have a Glacia-compatible set (also just moving forward in general) that actually appeals to healers because it increases party damage. Sumazinti and Aqkrova were extremely good, Rideti is nice to have but not quite the same. Healing scales quite differently as well, IMC really needs to incentivize healers to upgrade gear as quickly as DPS counterparts.
funny thing is that at the launch of the crusader he was very strong and only received buffs they waited for the class to be outdated to nerf the class in this way. i know the reality of the magic dps was difficult but what would be a good replacement for the crusader in the exo and druid build?
I was thinking of putting krivis in place or maybe even sadhu
T_T At last it is not worth for anyone to max…again… xD
So no heal on Crusader? Will it be a red class after all? XD
I looked at the Korean comments on the patch and there’s not a single soul talking about the ridiculous nerfs I think the hope of some later buff is minimal now
