As if thatâs the only absurd thing. Weâve got a ton of field maps that are made increasingly useless. Why should i even bother farming monsters if i get a single mercenary badge per enemyâŚwhen it drops to start with. At least before i could look out for elites and make some little silvers out of the wayâŚnow iâm just wasting silvers in repair fees doing so.
At first, I said to myself the only difference in farming now between Tenet Garden and other maps is the gear drops for Nucle. Then I tried testing farming both maps and begin to realize I am not earning much 1 Merc badge per few monsters and keep on repairing my gears only to end up losing silver a lot than to make it. What a funny way to say an MMORPG with dead maps and the only way to play the game is in the dungeon(challenge mode) with a single friend because we are not allowed to have more than 2 friends. At first, their CEO Hakkyu Kim was a gambling addict because of too much Gacha(cubes), Goddess/Demon(new) gamble event, and RNG in the game. Now the game is anti-social, what is next?

As you said, because of these lawbreakers thinking two steps ahead, we as the regular/casual player are getting the consequences.
They already gave up from identifying multis and bots, so they just straight out shutting down multis. The thing I dislike is that the silver gained from quest is just limited to one-time only (for 5x times reward). Itâs killing the players who wanna experiment with new class and build.
No. This started at the moment the game shifted into a power fantasy built around gear. The game lacks challenging tasks outside instances (and they still have little true difficulty), itâs just unplayable if your character doesnât have the top tier endgame equipment, so itâs just natural that players will try to achieve that by any means they can.
The most effective way to shut down this kind of behavior is by shifting the game direction (mostly the combat structure) out of equipment and stats, like a mobile game, into player action and decision value, like an action RPG. Itâs fine to have a game with those aspects as the main experience, but that doesnât work with ToS as it yells âHEY, YOU CAN EXPLORE WITH ALL THE DIVERSITY WE OFFERâ from the class system alone, but that ends being only cosmetic (animations, visual effects and weapons do count as cosmetics) as classes are designed to have broad use and end up being boring remixes of themselves.
IMC made de decision to turn ToS into an gatcha anime variant of PoE/Diablo, despite not having anything to do with them aside genre alignment, and theyâll keep facing more of the associated issues of this decision as long as they insist on it.
IMC is making sure to remove their free to play playerbase and that nobody returns to ToS for the reasons that @Hillgarm explained.
At this rate, the only players that will remain in ToS 2021 are:
1- Whales
2- RMTers
3- Funnel accounts
4- Crevox â0 TP spentâ

Last batch hit kLive on 19/12/2019. Usually the gap between mining leaks and kTest release isnât that big, so it will likely be out this year, early 2021 in iToS. It will likely be there for christmas.
Indeed, there will always be greedy people that will go the extra mile to get more, but it can be downgraded into an exception instead of being a norm. The key is changing the current state from need to want. If this kind of behavior isnât required to be relevant, the majority of those who does it will likely stop or reduce the intensity, it will still be present but not to a degree it is a big problem.
The other important aspect to be addressed is (real) combat difficulty. Resource generation becomes exponentially easy once you hit the equipment threshold because of how binary the combat interaction is, all you have to do is to move around from time to time and use skills in specific order, which is something a bot can do (yes, it doesnât apply to all content, but you get the picture). Engaging combat demands players to think and make decision on when to use or not their tools, and punishes them when they fail the test.
In short, what iâm saying is. IF the game were to demand less on having equipment AND more on knowledge and decision making, players would be less compelled to farm excessively, have/play alt accs, bot or purchase silver, reducing their occurrence. The scale of that reduction is something i cannot predict, but iâd expect it to be expressive.
