KToS General Thread v4.0

Careful saying something like this people here are flaging opinions that are against this update for some reason.

I dont think they should make this move, the best would just make the game on a working engine and transfer all accounts. This is not going to work, I believe there will be even less players.

Those skin tones aren’t amazing, but they do look a lot better than they did when they originally were shown, I think.

They were very desaturated, almost like unnatural pastel browns…
They still look desaturated, but maybe they won’t look as bad now.

That is, if they actually look like the sample color

finally skin tones! I have been waiting for a long time XD
I hope the housing system lets you see all of your characters in it, similar to the lodge.

One thing you’re overlooking though is that instead of having Taoist + 2 classes to support the crazy damage Taoist does on its own, you’ll have 3 classes that all do as much damage as Taoist. So it will definitely overall increase the power level of everyone and everything, which is another reason why I’m worried about the upcoming state of support.

Maplestory 2 is dead specifically because it doesn’t lean in to the casual atmosphere it claimed to create. It’s just a very standard dungeon running MMO with no other content to bother logging on for besides your weekly limited dungeon runs. Maplestory 2 is also Dailies: The Game, with every single thing you do having a daily/weekly limit. Even gathering and crafting are dailies in MS2. It feels like it was meant to be a phone game or something with how much time gating there is. That’s not remotely the type of gameplay that creates a social community. ToS has a fair bit of that as well, so I’m still on the fence about whether it can actually pull off being a casual game. But they definitely have to lean one way or the other with it, because where it is now I don’t think it appeals to many people. It’s not casual enough for the casual crowd or the kind of hardcore grinder that people expected from its origins.

If by any chance they make the casual for solos, and make the normal raids and etc harder meant to be done with party plus increasing the drop rate of recipes i will gladly welcome challenging content.
:prince:
Because right now i do raid expecting stone after stone aiming for the recipe trade mark… My character Luck in low.

Nice many fitur will be add by IMC.

i still hope IMC will implement Raid Dungeon will 10/12 players, every dungeon expect boruta only for 5 players, i think if Raid Dungeon 10 players its will more fun and the Raid feel more … (how to explain i dont know).

but i just hope someday IMC will added Raid Dungeon with 10players or more.

and some opinion from me:

  1. maybe is good IMC add some costume make different Gesture (i sure a lot of players will but it)
like how class hold the weapon even walk or attacking
  2. Costume flying companion with same status falcon.
  3. and make apperantice weapon can be released

btw im surrender with dragoon, hahaha :sob::sob:
hope TOS get more new players and the game is getting crowded.

I guess some groups did it that way…my experience is to bring 3 dps that can all do damage, one healer, and one support dps like a diev/zealot/x. I think that’s the best makeup provided you arent tao cheesing.

What I mean is, Taoist will still do Taoist damage, but so will Pyromancer and Elementalist, meaning the same Taoist build does more damage than before even though Taoist does the same. It’s not just a matter of putting everyone on Taoist’s level, because Taoist is one of three classes in a build.

That’s the same case now. Taoists are rolling with RC Chrono to boost their ridiculous damage. They could still do that although pass is nerfed. The end result should be similar damage when compared to other dps class combinations, or less since you would be taking chrono which is dps support.

Also to be fair, taoist isn’t the same. It got a 50% nerf for this exact reason. Creeping death got the huge nerf bat, which will be made up by rolling other damage classes, instead of putting all your eggs in the creeping death basket.

Make a lot of sense, flagging posts that is against that type of update, so IMC can think they are going through a good way, as nobody opinions against it is beign viwed.

Casualization is not the way.

The legend version of Skiaclipse has many additional mechanics that are not present in the unique raid, and even those that are in the unique raid are sometimes very different than legend. Their stated goal with the casual raids is to help players learn the raid and its mechanics before entering the real version of it.

Purely a guess, but I imagine they would come with the next episode release. We already know they are working on Blossom Blader, but no news or leaks of anything else.

The changes to classes in category 1, mentioned in my previous post, should be coming sooner than the next episode.

Taoist was nerfed and Chronomancer was nerfed. Both were huge reasons why Taoist did so much damage in the game (our current version).

There was a hidden buff for Taoist lightning charm that provides a 40% chance of deali an additional hit per bit of the previous damage by 80% ludo game did a vid on it

This is not true and he was incorrect on it. Lightning Charm has always done this for Taoist. The only change in KR was that Lightning Charm now works on other classes.

Regardless, a 40% chance to deal 80% more damage is just a 32% damage buff. It is a final damage modifier, so it’s good, but not nearly as good as he’s trying to say. You can see him agreeing with me in the comments.

The Misrus died quickly because it was using the bugged Mastema (which is now patched) and he was fighting normal mode Misrus. Still a geared and strong character, but those two reasons are large contributions to the fast kill.

No IMC, we do not need this already casual game to be even more casual. If you want us to enjoy it as an MMORPG, why don’t you instead make it more like an actual MMORPG by making the game world more diverse, overhauling the shop classes/market system to be more interesting and interactive, and breathing life into cities beyond just Klaipedia?

still waiting new news from kTos. haaaaaaaaaa

I agree with what u suggested to add but getting OP gear T10 that is +20++++ is far away from being “casual” and that gear is required if u want to have fun in pvp

What i suggest instead is limiting the enhacement levels to something like +15 to weapons (ofc increasing the difficulty a bit into reaching that) and promoting more diverse equipment instead the meta set gears, or even better, getting rid of all those 5-7 equipment set effects, it turns everyone into a lame uniform population who are eager to waste a lot of money into shitty gambling items because the game forces u to be super geared to START having fun instead having fun by playing the game.

Eliminate the gacha crap as well and start selling the goddamn fashion items directly

No more TP potions or items that unbalance the competitivity

If ToS wants to be taken seriously they have to start thinking about real balance here first

Enhancing all your gear to +20+++ is the game tho. It’s basically the only thing you can fail at anymore.
