KToS General Thread v4.0

it buffs pierce and missile, so any build with dagger or pistol can enjoy it. (jolly roger now buffs physical damage too)

I cant even potate ThFuK

NO! :hey:

My male wiz needs alchemist were it is…

It got better with time, that;s what I tell people to give ToS time cause they pretend RO started popular and amazing, but that is far from the truth nor it stayed good all the time, games have their ups and down…

some people just have very selective memory…

Pala - Exo - Inq = 75% Patk bonus, 80% Matk bonus
Pala - Zea - Inq = 109% Patk bonus, 21% Matk bonus
Pala - Exo - Sadhu = 27% Patk bonus, 139% Matk bonus

Divide one by another and you get approx differences in damage:
(ignoring the flat bonuses)

  • 2nd build is (109 / 75) = ~45% stronger in physical damage than the first
  • 3rd build is (139 / 80) = ~73% stronger in magical damage than the first

So yes, stats do matter much more than before. This doesn’t mean hybrid builds are dead, but they’re harder to build with. To be worth it, the skills/mechanics this hybrid gives you needs to overweight the loss in damage (that is, if you are purely focusing on damage).

Of course if you take paladin, you’re having a big loss of damage since they have very little STR/DEX/INT, but also means you have plenty of extra HP…

(I believe these are the correct calculations? But someone can correct me if I’m wrong)

can you also explain new prana, because the translation is kind of confusing after the 1st line.
1st line looks like it gives 20% of magic attack as extra magic attack
2nd like looks like 75% of magic attack as extra psychokinesis damage
3rd like looks like 25% less psychokinesis damage taken

i dont quite understand what its trying to do.

I’m really sad that the Kino - Pyro - Cryo didnt show fireball+PP interaction…

Owls have their own skill factor (30+1 per skill level, lvl 15 max. Hits 3 times) and used to benefit from the spr minion dmg bonus. And likely still do given how their dmg are, but best to ask a ktester to verify that part.
More interestingly they do crit atm, so they should also benefit from magic crit atk and crit rate atm.

I think IMC will need to nerf it again tbh.

i believe so, or all bots will be dievs

and @mrshadowccg

thanks.

I think it’s wrong to use that God Power charge slash animation to deal puny damage with zornhau, lol but whatever. They kinda turned doppel into a real HL 2.0 now with damage increase conditions

Did Warlock’s Invocation receive another change? Now it summons the maximum of 5 evil spirits, but in this video https://youtu.be/YmSJRGfYTHE?t=114 the player summons 8 evil spirits (1:54). The video was uploaded today, but I don’t if it was recorded before.

Also, Necromancer Master doesn’t sell Fragmentation Jewels anymore. Still, in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mvvd71kcvBU& the player has fragmentation jewels and uses them to increase corpse part in his necromicon. Again, I don’t whether it was recorded before the changes.

Sorry I’m bad at math, I don’t understand the formula. Can you make an example with values and the resulting final crit rate??

Wizard Master (wiz base class master) sells all Wiz skill materials now.

Not sure about Invocation, that is weird…

the formula isn’t complete, you have to wait the “number” in the formula. If the number is the same as itos:
(crate/cres )^ 0.6.
If we use our stat in itos for this formula:
(700/190)^0.6 = 2% crit chance

That’s… really low XD. Not sure if investing in crit is worth then.

Also, WTH, the new ele fire spel looks underwhelming

Has anyone tested the synergy between miko’s omikuji and kabba’s r7? I 'm really interested in seeing a video of it

For me I’m not really into looking at skill damage/build performance with +11 T10s equipments and lv100 attribute points for all skills, aren’t really practical to attain for an average player.

+11 T6 equipments and lv70 attributes for all skills are much more in line with what average players can attain. At least that’s what I try to test in ktest.

After watching some RE:TBL action I can say:

  • RET still broken, Pull rete+trident = 1-2 hit KO easy win

  • Archer are easy target, maybe with QS can survive a little more but I still don’t see any QS vid

  • Priest is a must for clerics in PVP, revive/resu still OP (Without this at least what I see they can’t do too much)

  • Asasin look fun and a bit OP, but is not the damage I think is the mobility and high dodge they have

That’s not it though. ToS is a new game, meaning that IMC could have/should have been looking at what made Raganrok good in its final state and applied the good aspects of it to the new game in order to start off stronger and better. Instead they chose to make fundamental game design choices that would ensure that ToS cannot ever follow the same formula that made RO’s world design special. Sure ToS will get better with time (it certainly already has) but that isn’t going to change the fact that the world design and game progression is built linear and is intended to be that way.

Also, let’s keep Alchemist in Wizard please. As much as I would prefer it in Scout too, that would give scout waaaaay too many support options now that Alche is the only class that can SP restore for the party.

Thank you! I must passed over this information on developers blog

Apparently you can buy class items from a regular shop NPC now, so maybe that’s why the master doesn’t sell them?

They patched this in the 11/13 ktest update.

Could be a bug, or because he summoned them all at the exact same time. The description of Invocation says a max of 5.
