I see, I’m thinking of some SPR Thauma-Sorc build so that you can get a decent MATK due to Swells while also having a high SPR to boost the summons further.
mmm maybe the extra defense was removed as it no longer was necessary (do sorcs really need something like 4000 Defense?), also the scaling riding was because before sorc scaled really bad into the 200k hp monsters they created…
could be a bug also with all the thing s they moved
Cata dragoon lancer full str
That “was” my plan too, but my OCD won’t let me have only 1 arm swelled. I’m leaning towards pyro3-sorc3-ench.
I’m thinking more along the lines of Thaum3-Sorc2. It’s stupid and weird but so is pretty much all my other characters lol. I’ll probably scrap the idea and go back to INT Thauma if SPR doesn’t scale well with summons though.
What I hate about this is (right now) there’s nothing to really fall back on for a wiz. Now they take away SPR from summons too. I may as well be a vendor that no one needs outside the 24 hrs of buffs.
Looks like full STR still sucks lol, imagine almost getting killed by glass mole x.x
that has nothing to do with being full str, if you dont avoid hits is your fault not str fault
nope. Do the math and you’ll see it yourself.
Full SPR is something along the lines of 8(base SPR for Clerics)+329(points from level 2-330)+33(bonus points, not taking into account all of them) = 370 base, + 78 (Skull Smasher)+30(Suurit Plate Pants)+20(Keyarc Leather Glove)+20 (Simere Necklace)+17 (Vienti Oxinos Robe)+16 (War Mage Boots)
+13 (Sage Wall) + 16 (2x Pore) = 580 SPR.
If we use the basic equation for the new Blessing, without Divine Might/Monster Gem to increase the level beyond 15, we get this formula:
3x(580^0.9)+450= 1370,88. Now, with maxed attribute, you still get 2056 additional damage.
If you increase the skilllevel with Divine Might and/or the corresponding Monster Gem, you’ll get [3,2x307+475]x1,5= 2186 / [3,4x307+500]x1,5= 2315 respectively. However, that amount of sacrifice of equip and statuspoints is most likely only feasible for buff slaves/sellers, and the normal scenario will become more like 1,5k additional damage instead of 2-3,5k until they introduce Attila to the game.
Meh, you can stand in spot with full dex currently and evade like 90%+ of the hits. And whatever hits hit for 1 damage currently lol
Just saying…
you do realize that evasion is way lower, accuaracy from monsters is higher and even a full dex character hardly evades stuff? this isnt your old ToS with evasion being broken for must stuff but magic damage, you wont avoid everything magically by having full dex or being lazy. git gud
Yes, we realize that
And it’s a good thing IMC is changing that braindead mechanic
I agree changing that braindead mechanic is good for the game, but I think that “git gud” remark is uncalled for.
I am using 170 HG leather set, only 809 PDEF with aspersium using plate i take almost no damage. No point in trying to avoid attacks with 600 ping also.
When I said full SPR I meant full SPR stat investment, roughly 400 SPR. Not I’m-going-to-equip-every-single-thing-that-boosts-SPR. My apologies if I wasn’t being clear enough.
But that wasn’t the point. I only pointed out that it’s somewhat nerfed. If we use the 580 SPR number you provided with the old formula then we get 3217, significantly higher than it is right now.[quote=“Adeodatus, post:7233, topic:321901”]
the normal scenario will become more like 1,5k additional damage

Exactly.
Would you prefer to ‘git bad’?
=P
Seems like lancer is better in both PvE and PvP now. Dragoon c2 may be obsolete at this rate…
Dunno, I think the evasion is still nice to have if you have multipliers like Sadhus OOB attribute and things to reduce the enemies Accuracy like e.g. “our bestest friend” Aukuras.
I forgot by how much % Aukuras debuffed, but I believe it was something around 40-50%, so if that’s still viable, Aukuras might become the instrument to spice up a fight a little more.
Also, don’t forgot that dodging didn’t just simply “evade damage”. Evasion was mainly used to avoid getting cced with knockbacks/knockdowns from physical attacks (e.g. that ground smash from our dear Siaulai Golem) who are a pain in the a$% for every non-Swordman due to the lack of Pain Barrier…
Huh, I just realized given the mention of full SPR being used to build a “buff slave” or a Priest3-Pardoner. So if the buff seller has full SPR, we can actually make do with just investing 1 skill point in Sacra again? …or not if you have Last Rites as well?
Btw, would you know if vendors applier their stats to their buffs when they sell them?
