Even with multi-hit Fireball, more tiles Firewall and more duration Flame Ground, current Pyro failed to be a good zoner. It was only ever relevant because of JP + HK linked to fireballs and then the dumb agny making everything explode.

With what we see now in the test server, there is no reason to believe it is going to be any better. :confused:

IMC needs to decide if they want Pyro to be a DoT or burst class, not this garbo.

But Cata got nerfed all around, so it kind of balance the Lancer buff. The classic catalancer lost on the Cata side, and gained more power on Lancer side.

I love the linker changes. It had to happen. They were ridiculously overpowered and the Fireball change is a good one. You will still be able to do some good AoE with both, just not the insane easy mode that you’ve been accustomed to, trivializing the entire content of the game.

Be honest with me, if say Pelt1 could do similar feats would you be ok? Or if Archer1 or Quarrel1 or Cleric2 etc.? No, you’d cry out for nerfs.

refine is weird, there are bonuses at 6, 11,16,21 but the refine increases also from 6-10, 11-15, 16-20 and 21+ refine can give A HUGE amount of attack. for example +15 lvl 315 bow gives 801 more attack than unrefined, also a +20 gives 1211 more, this is all BEFORE we even consider transcendence.

a +15 lvl 10 trans 315 bow from free dungeon would be 4314~8136 attack (jesus christ i hate the minimum damage on this things). also refine costs are SOOOO LOW now, refine starts at 19k and refine from 14 to 15 is only 300k

We’re still talking about RNG though and total sums you’ll be spending will still be in the millions just like before, but this time you’re RNG crossing your fingers all the way to 21+

free dungeon bows are easy to get, would rather hoard those and refine them till one gets to +15 at least and trans that bow than go with a pract weapon now lol

They mentioned that upgrades get a boost every 5 levels (based on the translated video).

We don’t know that.

For all we know those free dungeon mobs might be on tier with ET mobs and drop rates as low as 0.001% and there are “awakened” versions of those weapons which we don’t know what that means. It might mean you have to use expensive mats to awaken them or even practonium. We just don’t know yet.

Yeah for now full con still going to be pvp meme meta.

Our Fireball is too small to zone anything it occupies very little space as everyone who uses pyro can attest to.
Flame Ground doesn’t have the damage to deter people.

One of Pyros problems is this.

A class with persisting area of effects is good for zoning, however this is obviously with the assumption that this zoning does a significant amount of damage. Mobs are stupid so they let Pyro’s damage have small bases that became outperformed until Agny.

Increasing the size of their spells is pretty substantial so long as the aoe ratio’s compliment these larger radius spells.

But again I don’t Mind.
I’d love to keep my Pyro C3, Sorc C3, Sage although I don’t like Sage at present. Cast Hold, Drop my Fireballs and straight create “Do not god damn enter” areas.

Basically Pyro needs enough damage that people don’t feel like face tanking through its spells and if they do, they should be getting knocked the hell out.

IMO what They may be better off doing is providing hit counts on Flame Pillar/Flame Ground/Fire Breath and upping the damage. Leave their durations long, but like Zaibas once a threshold is met you’re cut off.

Redel is now stronger then Dethrone.

I realy dont like pyros but this nerf is a bit to hard.

They just now need to make World Tree not immobilize every monster in the game and we can start calling this a real game.

Fireball change is a stealth buff to pyro/kinos. If the Psychic Pressure interaction with fireball remains, you could raise, place a fireball to the side and PPressure it for the AOE effect without it moving away.

then what would had been the point of adding gear to make the transition to higher levels without a practonium weapon easier? , because if pract weapons are easier to get according to your logic, what’s the point of even adding new gear if by the time you get it you would rather have been using pract item with better sub stats, more slots and overall more effects?

How does making World Tree not disable monster AI completely have anything to do with gearing up?

it might, but still you need to find the extra slot ones, hoard them, refine them. well, even now the 220 dagger is pretty rare you see, and to find the extra slot one is even harder.

The shards released from PP + Fireball are considered a “grounded” skill. It can’t hit flying enemies, which includes raised ones…

So what if there’s a sorc video above? Why would any of the sorc in the videos even have dex in the first place?
