kTOS General Thread v2.0

All these changes seems really interesting, I’m will probably return to the game when this come to iTOS.

I was doing a table with all skill factors for damage abilities, but I saw that someone had made one already, so I end up not posting it here.
If anyone is interested here is a (not so good) graph for all new skill factors by class tree:

I think the number of hits on these higher points are probably wrong or are just not so consistent. Also, these high values make the scale of the graphic not so useful

This data was collected manually, so there is a lot of room for errors. When I get some free time, I will probably make a script to automate this work.


While I was writing this I just saw the post with the second balance, so all this graphs are already outdated even before I posted it, probably more reasons to automate this…

Take in that 15 heal tiles is 3420% total damage layed down on two overheat.
I Bet it still double hits with Blessing too

Cleric C3 top dps.

The patch note added some changes with regard to Fire Ball.

  • The size of Fire Ball is 30% larger, and will no longer be kicked away by other players
  • Fire Ball’s range is 25% wider

Does it really matter how large Fire Ball is if it can only hit 1 time? I am very against Pyro-meme, but I think this is kinda over-nerfed…

so its a land mine now.
How about its damage? 400% or more now?

What about the % and the factors? Maybe they amp it up to like 700% and it’s just much better than the actual one…

Yeah i saw this and kind of thought, well no one’s gonna hit it because by the time it’s used it’s gonna be gone.

Agree, i think they are trying to push players to use the other skills in the tree, i suppose Firewall could become a norm at some point, but a lot of multi hits have been cut.

Well, at least they slightly increased the damage:

Before: 106/6 After:281 ( ▲ 175) / 15.4-( ▲ 9.4)

Firewall (now) hits 5 times, regardless of the levels and it has been nerfed too:

Before: 181/10.3 After: 115 ( ▼ 66) /6.3 ( ▼ 4)

Pretty sad about Miko getting hit by the nerf bat AGAIN, no need to. Cannoners too, why nerf, I thought it was pretty okay by the vids? No wugushi changes…

I don’t know I hope they tune it a lot more before releasing, some things still seem not quite right by now.

EDIT: LUL at pyro/cryo/Psycho nerfs, I though they wanted to make all classes good and even with all int vids it still seemed kinda behind, now… Back to square 1.

For Wugu that’s the only change. I’m really sad because they are killing 3 of my builds with these changes (poor Miko, PD and Warlock) :crying_cat_face:

Cryo and kino was extremely strong for control classes, don’t use itos numbers to compare.

Nevertheless they are doing what they should be doing, testing.

I seriously like how IMC’s approaching the rebalancing this time round at test servers. If they kept going at their previous pace there’d be no test at all done in these first weeks. Anyone remembers the cannon/warlock/rune fiasco which took months to get out of the paper and many different patches for tiny little changes?

I like these changes especially the Fireball one. Seems like IMC finally wants to get rid of the multihit bullshit this also increases FPS as a sideeffect.

Sad thing for me. I looked at the PD changes and thought nice the damage is back and then took a look at a random Solmiki monster.

Bokor Hexing seems like a good solution now. I wonder what exactly it is that gives 3,5% or 4% per level mdef reduction (attribute I guess?).
Now only Pandemic needs a lot lower CD and Bokor Doc would be really nice. Not a dps mage anymore but what he is supposed to be - a pest controller.
