kTOS General Thread (keep all in-game discussion here)

It’s good to know. I’ll try it. I guess it’ll be even better now with the bonus. But it would be nice to use both the book and the automatch.

I saw these things with “english-speaking” people happened in Demon Prison 2nd Floor and on some other places. I hope it was only in these grinding spots then.

After you complete one run the next one is still considered an automatch party?

“Not mannered”. Just like a korean in the Lv.220 grinding map that started to ks my party, abuse Featherfoot glitch, lose ks due to not dealing enough damage and some members of my party having ways to kill those monsters while lagging (multi-hit skills on the ground and so). And then after everything calling more members from their guild and abusing the chat glitches to impersonate a GM saying it would ban my party for 60 days for ks’ing, lol.

Fun fact: We changed to ch3 and it was better because there were nobody there and on ch1 we didn’t get a spot, lol.

people all leave after we completed 1 dungeon run… so i have to go back to the automatch pool. this might sound painful… however, during peak hour in korean time (usually 2pm - 6pm) the wait is not that long.

Same for me after dungeons and such, they are quite nice to me not sure if it because im playing linker. But the question was more a general idea how we behave in game. I randomly ask this since I was 130 to 200+ now.

Yea, not all of them are nice. Was just a fun faq how they think of us consider the english demographic not that big. I guess I have been lucky to play with the nice people. Also because more english people have been rude to me than the koreans so far.

Wouldn’t surprise me, with johns activity on the forums lately and the new topics etc. Seems like they are preparing for another beta or at least the launch of the new web page.

I’d say that there are nice koreans just as there are nice people from other countries (including Brazil) as there are those who aren’t nice only to some players or to the entire server as well.

I’ve played with nice people too. I got my Kanseril card because of a korean to who I’ve also started to share some boss times I get xD.

And even the ones you thought that weren’t nice because of grinding maps can turn into almost permanent members of your grinding party as it happened with me every time a friend wasn’t online xD

I’m already planning to do it and post it here but I was lazy and I’m now leveling a Ranger until we get new content for Lv.220+. But I’ll try to do it today or tomorrow after getting attributes from Cannoneer Master.

no sh1t, my stack usually complete 190s like 12mins per rum, i tried to go with pub once. It’s a nightmare people are dying left and right, sitting down, DC, wasting so much time. I will never go MM agian unless i “cheat”

So far koreans are the worst gaming community i have had the displeasure of being a part of. If you are a foreigner you will get ksd at grinding spots.

A typical situation that happens is you are grinding in a spot, someone shows up and starts fighting you for mobs, this might go on for 10 or so minutes before you are like ? or kindly ask them to change channel, they won’t they just keep fighting you for mobs. Finally you are like whatever and change channel yourself and find to your dismay that all the other channels are empty.

But at the same time if you do get in a korean grinding party, they will let other koreans take portions of the map and not say anything to them until there is nowhere left for the party to grind

Iv’e met plenty of one offs that help me with a quest, or try to be friendly but they are few and far between,

tl;dr koreans will ks english speakers, but will inconvenience themselves to not ks each other.

Thanks <3

Well. I wouldn’t blame anyone who gets disconnected or so because it’s mostly their ISP’s fault (note that Brazilians ISP aren’t good so it’s also happens to me). And in another day I got 8 crashes in 5 dun190 runs ;-; (because of too many players in friendlist, lol. and running a defragmentation helped too).

But well, I wouldn’t use any Exp Books in a party without at least 3 known people there.

I’ve not really had this issue. The only time I’ve had issues with competition is the timed spawns at dina bee farm ( which I attribute to a game design flaw, as everyone is just starved for proper spawns, and I was forced to drive people off just to lvl efficiently ), and with a party that tried to take my group’s spawn and force us to change channel at Demon’s Prison, which I believe was BR(?) @LunarRabbit’s actually lol.

Koreans in general are very polite in grinding and dungeoning. I’ve rarely had issues as long as I was polite initially.

You know you just described the international server as well LOL. Bad behavior is not region specific.

Could you please tell us what has been fixed in linkers?

You are right, One of the few parties i did in Legwyn we had another foreginer in the party and one of the natives told them in english to ’ Save yourself the electricity bill and uninstall TOS ’ because they weren’t happy with how they were performing in the party, everyone else remained quiet because it was quite awkward.

everyone besides that one instance has been friendly though, even accidental ’ kill steal’ often someone says sorry in a formal manner.

it was just hangman’s knot not pulling the monsters properly into one place
