It just looks like a specialized Kneeling Shot for Musk only, gameplay wise. The biggest flaw imho is that it looks like a PVP only thing,based on what the attributes are designed for.
U can still adapt the melee combo(for a freaking ranged class) to it but the boss can’t move till u used Butt Stroke.
Does Iron Maiden duration increase with Discerning Evil?
Does it spread with Pandemic?

funny thing is that it does stack with kneeling but at that point the only musket skill you can use is penetrating shot

Now the question is… how good is Krivis > Taoist in PvE (Especially grinding on full scale) versus C3 Damballa build? 
Depends on your build. I did some theory tests.
I used these builds: Cryo3>Chrono3 Full DEX / Cryo3>Chrono3 Full INT / Pyro3>Thauma3 Full INT / Pyro3>Thauma3 Full SPR / Pyro3>Thauma3 Full DEX / Cryo3>Thauma3 Full INT / Cryo3>Thauma3 Full SPR / Cryo3>Thauma3 Full DEX
By far, Thauma SPR seems weaker because of the loss in MATK you get from INT. About 20% weaker.
DEX and INT builds seem to have similar DPS, with INT just a little bit better in DPS. DEX builds will have less damage per attack (around 60% damage compared to INT build), but will make up for it with attack speed.
Overall DPS Ranking would be:
- Cryo3>Thauma3 Full INT (50k DPS)
- Cryo3>Chrono3 Full INT (47k DPS - 96% of #1)
- Cryo3>Thauma3 Full DEX (46k DPS - 94% of #1)
- Cryo3>Chrono3 Full DEX (44k DPS - 89% of #1)
- Cryo3>Thauma3 Full SPR (43k DPS - 88% of #1)
- Pyro3>Thauma3 Full DEX (42k DPS - 85% of #1)
- Pyro3>Thauma3 Full INT (41k DPS - 84% of #1)
- Pyro3>Thauma3 Full SPR (37k DPS - 76% of #1)
The ranking can change, as it depends on equips, level and stats may vary from one character to another. I used my Cryo3>Chrono3 Lv330 stats and equips for the math here. The more magical attack you get from your weapon from enhancement and trancendence, the better is if you’re Chrono, as the difference from MATK Thauma3 has is reduced.
This however, is pure theorycraft and I’m counting all Cryo builds will be optimal and attack frozen enemies.
If not attacking frozen enemies, Pyro3>Thauma3 builds are stronger as Cryo3 builds DPS will be heavily reduced.
Pyro1 is just enough for DPS, which leaves you with 2 free ranks.
Also, if you consider Thauma3 builds are able to buy Quicken 10 scrolls, the ranking also changes.
With these scrolls, INT and SPR builds become stronger than DEX builds. In this case, all Chrono3 builds are way behind in damage.
However, Chrono3>Enchanter2 builds are needed to craft Quicken10 scrolls.
TL;DR:
All builds can be viable if well eqquiped.
Cryo is stronger than Pyro on fronzen enemies.
Pyro is stronger if enemy is not frozen and only requires Pyro1 to be effective (2 free ranks).
INT > DEX >>> SPR. With Quicken, INT > SPR >>> DEX.
With high Enhancement level, Transcendence level and MATK from your weapon, DEX > INT > SPR.
Thauma and Chrono have similar DPS overall.
With Quicken scrolls, Thauma >>> Chrono.
With high Enhancement level, Transcendence level and MATK from your weapon, Chrono >>> Thauma.

Great elaboration man. Three thumbs up. Are you using staff or Rod+dagger on your best DPS build?
Edit: I think I’d still go for Cryo3>Chrono3 as it is mostly needed for ET parties, tho Thau3 is better for farming purposes.
I didn’t invest in the best weapon because my Cryo3>Chrono3>Sage right now is full CON support/tank. I have a good shield. My weapon as of now is a +6 Windia Rod with 1339 matk.
I’ll remain full CON (Only 33k DPS as my character is right now, but it’s way better than the damage i’ve been doing for the past year as a Full CON) for this character because with Enchant Earth i’ll have 50~60% block and it will help a lot in ET on those floors I have to tank. But i’ll change Sage for Enchanter and go Enchanter2. Even if Missile Hole is a meta, Enchanter2 is way more viable than Sage2 right now…
As for rod+dagger/staff, I like Rod+dagger better and as an auto-attack, attribute damage can be better. However, staff is way better if you can get a lv350 Staff with +15 enhancement and high level transcendence.
The obvious build for Krivis3-X-Taoist seems to be druid for X, especially because of the synergy with the new taoist skill. Been thinking of some alternatives, unless I’m underrating the power of Tao2, and have some questions.
I hope this isn’t too off-topic though, since these may work the same as they do now in itos:
- Can you spread Divine Stigma with Pandemic? Been thinking since PD2-Tao1 could be an option now.
- For something like Paladin1-Diev1-Miko-Tao1, (aukuras synergy) I assume Restoration works with the new Aukuras heal effect? How does Sweeping/Clap work with Aukuras?

Self-damage buffs are Physical damage (can crit, based of physical attack)
Fanatism is based of your HP
Blind Faith is based of your current SP when the damaging skill is cast.
