Cryo is still a great PvP class! Freeze is also a bit better to apply at PvP because ice bolt is instant cast now, and ice pike is a large AoE. However I wonder if jumping will still dodge new ice pike AoE (not sure if intended). For PvP, you should consider Rune of Protection instead of Rune of ice.

@GadenRhoss yes, this trick was found long ago on Ktos too. It was mentioned for ‘investigation’ but never heard anything about it. Not sure if it will count as abuse.

Feedback on your build

About runecaster: will you use level 1 giant? It is 30s duration. You cannot cast your skills during giant mode. If you just use it to move faster on map, it is fine to take level 1. For combat, I do not recommend level 1 giant on this build.

Elementalist: I recommend level 14 Electrocute (will hit 10 targets). Level 13 will hit 9 targets. If you have cleric friend for divine might, level 13 electrocute and level 15 are fine too. You could drop some Prominence levels and max electrocute.

Rune caster + elementalist: rune of ice will now boost damage of all ice skills, including Hail. If you like it, you could take hail max + rune of ice combo. KTEST hail is 19s duration at max level (patch note of imc was incorrect).

Wizard: consider taking level 1 Lethargy. Lethargy unlocks attribute to increase Magic-circle damage on debuffed mobs. Elementalist Hail and Dust storm, pyro fire pillar, flame ground, flame wall are magic-circle type skills. I tested it myself, it only increases damage of magic-circle skills. For example, meteor is not affected. Lethargy: strike damage attribute is unlocked at wizard3. Take it to help your teammembers.

Consider a few more levels of surespell. It is a party buff now, so you can help your party members if you take surespell level 2~5. If you will invest a bit on SPR, reflect shield is great to mitigate some damage. It will reduce damage of several hits by 20%. Each time it activates, it will consume 1% of your SP. Amount of hits before shield disappears = equal to skill level. Sleep is a great CC, and earthquake damage is quite nice too. Attribute of earthquake removes knock effect.

Take sleep 1 to combo the sleep attribute (double damage with psychokinesis and neutral magic on sleeping enemies). Combo sleep attribute with rune of destruction (neutral magic).

Support option: more surespell levels, lethargy 1
Defensive (SPR): take reflect shield, sleep
Offensive: earthquake with remove knock attribute, lethargy 1 to combo magic circles, sleep 1 to combo rune of destruction
Utility: magic bolt 1 for knockback, earthquake 1 for knock-up

Important

shadowmancer hidden buff: shadow conjuration damage-over-time attribute (NEW): each damage-over-time hit deals damage based on skill damage. First hit is low damage, Damage-over-time hits are stronger.

Think of it like reverse-mastema attribute! Mastema phantom pain first hit is strong, and damage-over-time is weaker.

(OLD shadow conjuration attribute: Damage-over-time deals damage equal to 100% of your magic attack per hit).

Other hidden stuff

Lethargy-debuff will make earthquake deal 2 hits (so double damage) on enemies.

Rune of destruction magic break debuff attribute is 10s debuff duration.

Kino magnetic force is 10 targets (not AoE, this is incorrect). It will pull mobs when they are inside the hitbox of magnetic force when you first cast it. If a mob moves inside the hitbox after the initial cast, it will not be pulled.

Tip for pyro to increase effective firework range
Because firework only shoots into cardinal and intercardinal directions, you should space the fireballs properly to cover more AoE instead of stacking fireballs on 1 spot.

Any videos of pyro2 elem3 sorc3 with fire summon and the new attribute?

I think the Enchant Lightning attribute is bugged, there was no increase in damage on frozen enemies with psychic pressure or gravity pole.

This attribute is not available. Cannot be bought from class master yet. It will show but it cannot be purchased. Also necromancer attributes are bugged for flame skeleton and ice skeleton. Miko new clap attribute also bugged. Quite few more things on test server. I tried to test it but I could not buy it.

New kino magnetic force to group mobs -> psychic pressure is nice though. No need for linker. if you are pyro-kino, you should magnet -> drop fireball in mob face -> psychic fireworks.

Lightning hands works properly with bonus damage vs frozen mobs (8k damage -> 12k damage). The enchant lightning attribute for psychokino skill is bugged. The attribute will combo nicely with froster lord cards.

Hi SpeeD, I do not have any shinobi videos. Everyone is busy trying wizard. Swordman & shinobi is forgotten. No video on KR forums of it.

Did you find any video of Gravity Pole? Deciding between Kino C2 and Kino C3 and that’s part of my doubts :x

Also remember without kino3, psychic pressure will lose focus attribute to prevent interrupts.
New gravity pole is 15 targets at level 5 pole, quite nice to CC. Range is not bad.

Ya. I’m mostly thinking in using it’s magic def reduction in combo with more DoTs, mostly wondering how it would work in practice :x

I would like to point out something in these two vids:

Shinobi clones after patch will increase the cooldown of copy-able skills. The formula is (10% of skill base cd + 2 sec) * number of clones. Meaning at max skill level, you get +50% skill cooldown and an additional flat +10 sec cd.

The second video demonstrates that clearly: Kunai, which has 10 sec default cd, becomes 10 * 1.5 + 10 = 25 sec cd with bushin lv 5. Sept Etoille goes from 29 sec cd to 29 * 1.5 + 10 = 53 sec cd. And so on.

However, in the first vid, he manages to go around that cd increase by not using all overheats on each skill. This does not trigger the skill’s cooldown.

The most important thing to notice is that when using Crown (0:21 of the vid) the cooldown did not increase. The same happened when using Moulinet right after. Therefore, I’m assuming that not using all overheats on each skill might as well bug the cooldown increase bushin gives.

Finally, when using Kunai after clones have faded away, he’s back to the normal 10 sec cd since the cd itself did not trigger during Bushin.

Elementalist + kino3? Or pyro+kino3? I think it will be nice to combine AoE skill + gravity pole CC/debuff. If you have a summon, it will also deal a bit more damage during gravity pole cc & debuff.

@mrshadowccg nice observation, thanks for your explanation. It is consistent with forum posts about new shinobi (without videos). In addition, some ktesters think shinobi clones behave strangely. Sometimes damage copy does not work properly. For example 4k kunai main body, and 880 kunai clone copy. The difference is too big.

Kino3 (mostly Heavy Gravity + stuff / Gravity Pole + stuff / PP + FB)
RC (RoD)
SM2 (Shadow Conjuration dot on CC/grouped mobs [then let them die on all DoT] and Condensation [for leftovers])

Seems to be similar to some builds around I think ( ? )

I could change everything though at any time or give up on kino3, just random thoughts for now since I’m going to reduce the number of thaum-linkers wizards I got atm.

What I want mostly was confirmed by this:

They show that the damage can be decent/good with high M ATK and the mechanics/range are kind of what I expect :x

Did they fix telepath crashing the user?

@BurningFighter kino and pyro are great at DoT AoE now, equal to elementalist. All classes have some CC.
Elementalist hail freezes, and sandstorm attribute is a root (-100 movespeed debuff…). Petrify skill also exists but it will make mob take less damage from non-fire skills. Bad for party members.
Kino most CC. Mob group with magnetic force, psychic pressure stun and combo well with fireball, gravity pole, heavy gravity also slows a lot with attribute. Swap can relocate mobs into AoE.
Pyro fire pillar stunlock for 10s, and firewall of pyro3 can push mobs. Hell breath has a push too.
Great AoE, great CC.

Ktos telepath crash was fixed long ago


Tip for elementalist meteor

Craft and use flame ground level 1 scroll (meteor attribute). Or buy at market. Enchanter can craft it.

read the patches… hmmmm chrono spi build… sorce then?? XD still wanted the chrono to be on my alch just to farm saluus and dun XD im lazy for the alch… i just need it for pots and farm dailies…

can a wiz2link2chrono2alch3 spi build supp ok?? chrono 3 (if rank 10 pops up) (maybe sorce rank 10) its spi build and summon still good in that position) (could also go wiz2link3sorc1alch3) if i cant find a fit on chrono XD

bdw i need someone with a pyro a good weapon and spi build to test dmg with a summon. not the attribute… just test the dmg on 300dun spi build… couz im making that… XD fire skills only

Wow what a good wizard patch. It’s so nice to see builds without a r8 class perform pretty well.

I think I’m going to stick to r8s anyway. I can’t decide what to do with my old Wiz2-Pyro2-Ele3 though, Sage2 and Shadow2 are both pretty equally-great options now…
