Kneeling Shot + Hunter skills? are they working?

Ive read you cannot use skills when using kneeling shot? but how about skills that uses companions?

Nope. You cannot use ANY skills while in kneeling shot. But periodic skills (flare/magic arrow, wugushi poisons etc.) can take advantage of character’s higher ATK when he enters Kneeling Shot stance after using those skills.
