I hope we’ll be able to keep our igns from Beta >< >< >_<! That way, it’ll make playing in beta the most awesome thing in the world! But I’m very happy with how we can play the game so soon! Good job Staff of ToS ^^!!

Nope. It’s all getting wiped so you don’t have an unfair advantage short of knowledge, even then knowledge is obtainable without having played.

Wouldn’t be fair in the slightest if you could. Only 5000 people and they secure an account name you want? I’d be pissed. Your character name is not unique, everyone can have the same character name. But your family name (account name) is.
I know one of my guildies will be trying it out with me, so that’ll be lots of fun! hmm we’ll probably play the game together! if you’d like, you can come along! Maybe if you guys took 2 of the more basic stuff, I’ll take an 3rd alternative for the party! ^^ I like a clean start in a game where everyone is still fresh and new because that way, people can experience new things together!!
I’m not so sure about pvping for games like this though! I’ll probably lay off the pvp in this game unless my guildies are all interested in pvping casually! I can’t imagine this game being very skill based/fair/balanced for pvp so I might not do that competitively! have you been doing any research on the game so far?! I’ve been avoiding the research since I want to learn everything as I progress!!
hmm!! Good point! Plus the fact that only the people who actually had an account in this forum/participated in some way happens to have access to these keys, iirc. I usually don’t do things like this but one time I noticed a lot of people were so freaking out about p2w, p2p, b2p etc. so I just spoke up on that part! But ehhhhhh??? I think it’s not “unfair” tbh, an ign is still an ign as well! I just thought I’d love to be able to keep the ign I’d like! Oh wells! I’ll try to bear with it if they don’t let me keep it… -cries a river-
I didn’t get a beta key so I can’t join you during this beta phase.
My suggestion – Since beta is going to be wiped anyway, why not just choose a less serious name that you don’t care about & save the name you really want for obt/live? Then you won’t have to worry about someone else from the icbt taking the idea. I know it might be odd if you’re used to always being named the same thing, but it’s something I considered.

but IMO it’s still debatable. Think about this, anyone who played the game before other people who play the game maybe days, weeks, to even years after them wouldn’t be able to get the ign people before them have already used… So… People who play CBT are definably… anyone who played the game before others… so if they get to keep their igns, that’s still fair IMO. It’s just as fair as the people who got the ign you wanted because they played the game before you did…

Pretty sure you’re safe since the game uses a name and a surname.
So if you’re not Kirigaya Kazuto or something like that you’re safe.
Your name doesn’t matter unless you’re making a character with a popular last name i.e. Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha
I too think luck is a fair system… and to be selected to closed beta whoever was is “rightful”. But part of me just wouldn’t agree having such a given advantage over people.

I think the only way that would happen is if this game had founders packs. you’ll just have to be fast and get your name(s) as soon as the game goes into obt or whenever
