Just switched from wizard to swordsman for a change, what a difference

Early game Wizard is slow but that’s because you don’t have a big
move pool till later on. It also just may not fit your play style. Playing
Wizard like most games is hard in the beginning but your hard work
pays off later on. The idea is to get around 40SPR then INT and CON
so you won’t be so squishy.

Then do not complain on the pain of early grind difficulties as it was your choice to invest in something you didn’t need for the first 60 levels.

At 120 level you should have ~130 points. a 3:1 distribution means about 30 points in CON. I can make half that CON in 2 equips alone. And using a full Plate set. I gain another 2~3 CON worth of Max HP giving me half the benefit of 30 CON.

Also if you don’t ever tap into the extra Max HP, it is essentially wasted. Max HP is only beneficial against burst damage. And in low levels there is almost none. There should almost never be a situation where you can’t react quickly enough to save yourself with a potion in low levels.

Another common misconception is that INT doesn’t do much to DPS. This is even more wrong in early levels because TOS has a linear system between damage and defense.

If you have 11 attack vs a 10 defense monster, you will do 1 damage (fuzzy math), but if you added 1 more INT, you would do 2 damage instead. That’s a 100% increase in damage.

As opposed to higher levels where you have 150 INT, with 300 damage worth of additional damage from equips and skill for 450 attack vs a 150 defense monster netting you 300 damage points. That addtiona INT at that point will net you 301+ (from stat bonuses) of damage which is barely a 0.3% increase in damage.

This highlights the importance of high INT in early levels of PVE especially when there’s no equipment to make up for it.

You can take some CON early game if you want but it will not be worth it before lvl 60. Someone who builds INT first then CON will enjoy higher DPS for the entire 90 levels with minimal downside. Whereas someone who build CON will suffer from lower DPS for the entire 90 levels despite not dying at all. I bet the INT builder will level to 90 first, and have a much easier time doing so than the CON builder, even if said INT builder dies 5~10 times.

Are you serious?

I’m saying there’s no reason for wiz to get CON early game and you are saying there’s definitely reasons to do so (without supporting arguments). And that’s repeating your words? HAH.
