Just me or does the jump in the damage of musket/cannon crazy

Like I’m climbing my way up thinking of which to choose.

But as you go the ranks and you compare the slow powercreep of the new moves to the previous, its slight. But you can follow it.

Then rank 7 hits.
moves @ lv1 almost double max the previous rank moves in skill damage.
addition modifiers that were small, now its boom 300% atk damage+

like what happened. I look at the other rank7 classes and don’t see the jump increases up to 5k skill damage

It’s supposed to be like that.

Just because other classes has their modifiers hidden due to being 100% doesn’t mean Musketeer and Cannoneer damage is so amazing and overwhelms others. I agree the damage is high but it’s not because of the modifiers, it’s the fixed skill damage which would eventually fall-off by the way.

Take a look at Rank 6 Fletcher C2 to Rank 7 Fletcher C3. Lv5 - Lv10 Magic Arrow added 10 more hits and 455 more skill damage, overall, that’s 1000%+18215 improvement.

Full comparison between all Rank 7 classes or even with the other lower rank classes isn’t as easy as just taking a look at the numbers on the skill description.

some r7 are so bad for example falconer sonic strike like wth…

Musk\canon was buffed beyond op and are broken now, everyone knows it.u only have to compare with dragoon and u can see as one skill of musk does more damage than all skill of dragoon together.
This game isnt balanced and archers are god class so create one or left the game as we have done all swordman that dont wanna play the op class

Just because the skill looks amazing on paper does not actually mean it is. Musketeer and Cannoneer skills suffer from long animation times and are single hit aside from Covering Fire. When you hit damage cap with them, you have absolutely no way to ever increase their potential afterwards.

In actual practice, they’re not amazing DPS skills which is what matters when you’re contesting 280+ world bosses or doing other content where sustained damage matters.

With a 2s animation time + 25s cooldown and a 100k damage cap (easily reachable), snipe amounts to 3703 DPS and that’s the highest it can ever reach.

When you are considering skills to fit within your rotation then you may realize that other classes at lower ranks can output similar DPS and even exceed that without being hindered by the hard cap on damage dealt. Fletcher, Wugushi and Sapper come to mind because of their fire-and-forget abilities which lets them weave other skills into the rotation.
