Tree of Savior Forum

Its not just doomsayers spreading huehue, the games literally empty now

I have over 2k hours logged now between my 2 accounts, I know, the sky has been falling since May if you read the forums. That being said it literally is a ghost town now, I am sitting in que for the Halloween event for 15-25 minutes every time PER run, be it on Saturday afternoon or Thursday night, the day and time make no difference.
Once again I’m in the process of rerolling something new b/c I was out of new content 4 days into the rank 8 update. The first thing I noticed was the channel reduction, even with every map only having 1 channel I barely see any other actual players, just bots and afk sorcs.
I spent a combined 84 minutes in que last night (Friday peak hours) for the lv 50 dungeon on my new side project before giving up, buying 3 instanced clear vouchers and just cheesing it.
How much longer can this last, I get that “the game is dying” crap is old and weve all been spamming it for months but wtf, theres no-one here. So far all ive seen from IMC response wise are pure P2W transitions otw, all rng cosmetic and p2beatthegame boxes, practonium, lv9/10 gem abrasives etc. It doesn’t look like they have any intrest in improving the game, just getting as much money out of it as they can before the lights go out.

So what? The game is dead. Good you realized that yourself.

Doomsayers and Hueknights are different factions, to remind you.

On the bright side, because of that we’re getting a mobile remake! Hurray! /sarcasm

This is the perfect example of why people run screaming from this game, if IMC doesn’t traumatize them its these clowns. Regardless of what you post or reply to their 1st response is always “YoU dUMb mE SmaRT yoU lEAve nOW deRP derP dErp”.

http://steamcharts.com/app/372000 that should be enough proof for them to wake up, so sad a game that I was incredibly hyped about ended up being this awful

That comeback, and that’s after 2 years.

EDIT:

So yeah, it even makes it worse for TOS in comparison.

Meanwhile IMC at just 6 months from international release is somewhat content with the downhill ride:

###Can TOS pull an ESO?

How I see IMC handled the situation compared to Bethesda:

Bethesda: “First, it was decided the highly-anticipated Xbox One and PS4 editions of the game would be indefinitely postponed until the game was in the state more players expected. To figure out how to go about doing this, Firor and his team went back to the vocal community that had already tried out the PC version and found it wanting.”

IMC: (that web comic someone was sharing here in the forums explains our point - TLDR fck improving PC version, let’s make mobile version to make more monnies, fck whatever the remaining playerbase says)

Bethesda: “With a multiplayer game it’s more important to be able to play with the people you want to play with than it is to see the results of what you’re doing.”

IMC: “Here’s more sh!t happening on your screen but fck your FPS! Hahahaha - Tree of Solo btch!”

Bethesda: “All of this was the culmination of many months of hard work. Zenimax originally hoped to release the revamped Elder Scrolls Online experience by the end of 2014, though in the end this didn’t happen until halfway through 2015. The studio was adamant not to repeat past mistakes.” “We had the game done in December but we didn’t want to have stupid little problems rear up so we wanted to test it well.”

IMC: “F*ck further testing! People love this game already! See all these paying founders?! People will throw money at us so let’s release already!”

The first day of Tamriel Unlimited we didn’t sell a lot of units, but our concurrency was three times that it had been before. Those were all original players coming back. Then, through word of mouth, it went on to sell very well and of course the console version just exploded.

The big lesson though is that for games of this type, you can fix problems and people will come back. You have to make sure you’re always telling people what you’re doing, that you’re open and honest, but it shows you can hit the right notes – even if it takes a little longer than you thought, you can be redeemed.

How is it not obvious to IMC and these WKs that for an MMORPG to work, it should be “massively multiplayer” i.e. more f*cking players should be playing?

“As long as we have enough whales throwing money at us, it doesn’t really matter whether there’s 100k or just 100 players playing our game.” - IMC probably

ps I know Bethesda is a way bigger company than IMC, but that doesn’t mean IMC can compromise on professionalism.

rank 8 gets released, only gets 500 players average.

Sick ass comeback LUL.

Let’s just not count how many of those players are bots aswell for the sake of being nice.

Shhh. The bot numbers is what’s making the population “steadily going stable”. :joy_cat:

I didn’t even know ESO had a Steam Client,I’ve had the game on my Comp since launch.

What killed it in june/july?

I didn’t realize TESO made a comeback either, I played it for approx. 2 years but what ruined that game for me was the pvp and the effect it had on the entire game. Literally every 2-3 months zenimax would completely obliterate your current class and build b/c a bunch of noobs got killed by your class in pvp and took to the forums screaming for nerfs.
I might have to check it out soon if things don’t change here, and NO not giving my stuff to anyone, I already deleted one ToS account with a team level of 26 and 100s of millions in gear, id do the same with my other account before giving it to a pleb on Klaipeda, where everything eventually finds its way to Kirito’s pockets to be resold for rl money.

The core issues everyone thought would have been taken care of ASAP, or at least be focused on by IMC and have us regularly updated on their progress.

IMO mainly:

  1. Optimization
  2. Exploits
  3. Bots

Instead, we get more cashgrabs, more issues, and lesser channels.

Sounds like IMC as well to me. At least Zenimax learned from their mistakes.

I hope Lost Ark and Lineage Eternal won’t become the next TOS.

IMC is like that girlfriend that you madly fell in love with, but later she becomes a gold digger and keeps asking for dates with you yet never really show up.

Game’s been dead and a fail since CB2. IMC has shown it’s true colors and it’s been said repeatedly but some people close their ears. I just come back to the forums every other month or so to laugh.

This is dedicated to all those who tried and realized in the end… and to you people who eventually see like everyone else.

one thing
I don’t know why
It doesn’t even matter how hard you try
Keep that in mind
I designed this rhyme
To explain in due time
(All I know)
Time is a valuable thing
Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings
Watch it count down to the end of the day
The clock ticks life away
(It’s so unreal)
Didn’t look out below
Watch the time go right out the window
Trying to hold on, but didn’t even know
Wasted it all just to (watch you go)
I kept everything inside and even though I tried, it all fell apart
What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a timeI tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn’t even matter
I had to fall
To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn’t even matter

ESO barely holds any of it’s original player base. And they’re getting ready for their 2nd rerelease (first rerelease was Tamriel Unlimited). Really trying to scrape the bottom of the barrel to stay afloat. Their cash shop is deep and their bugs are still prominent. Some of my friends convince me to jump on every now and then and I can’t keep my interest in the game for longer than a weekend.

The thing that steered me away from ESO the most? The animation canceling, because the animation cancelling feels like ■■■■. ESO adopted it’s shitty animation canceling as a baseline for balance and some of the higher level dungeons are impossible to clear unless you are a pro at animation cancelling.

The halloween event was a ■■■■■■■ stupid idea. IMC doesn’t know their own server population or something if they thought adding yet another daily instance queue was ever going to make sense.

Yep, ive run the Halloween event 15x a day on multiple characters since it came out. In all those runs I have gotten Resin or Blue Dumaro Claws almost every single time, I cant even get a fkng talt let alone a battle bracelet. Granted ive had sissels for quite some time but I thought id see atleast 1 BB by now. Combine the trash drops with the fact that it takes me 15min or more to get through the que everytime it makes me not want to even bother.

I often don’t even bother queuing for regular dungeons/missions. There aren’t enough hours in the day for me to want to waste any of my time sitting in a queue. One of the many poorly designed aspects of the game.

Yea, whoever made it so you couldn’t do ANYTHING ELSE WHATSOEVER while in a queue is a real jackass.

Hell, I haven’t logged on in a long time, but if I recall correctly, you can’t even friggin’ CHAT while in the queue, right?
