Sappers. I am one. Why am I one? Because I like traps. Why else? I feel like I took some bait though and trapped myself with a waste of a class for the time being.

I don’t know why we have the ability to conceal traps when they despawn. It’s not just that, they also despawn FAST. I was hoping these traps would be like the Hunter’s traps in Ragnarok Online. They could be pretty handy in WoE if applied properly.

Do I just reroll for now and hope they fix the Sapper later? I’m not a fan of the material costs, the length (combined with cooldown) for the traps, or the fact that we don’t have a few more trap types.

Sapper isn’t bad at all, i rather of gone sapper then gone hunter and deal with fail pet ai.

Not yet. I’m still in the first circle. I’ve taken a break for a few days. Waiting on a friend (Peltasta) to catch up in level with me. First, he had to house-sit so he couldn’t play. Then he and I both abstained from doing the Monastery. Namely because we anticipated all the complications that have happened. Every. One.

We’re waiting for a chance to have our first dungeon go smoother. The forum might say otherwise, but things will improve. We’ve both been to other MMOs at launch.

As for the Hunter in this game? I don’t do pet classes. I have pets IRL and they satisfy me just fine. Sorry about the bad AI. I remember going from a Ranger in Guild Wars to one in Guild Wars 2 and having a pet forced on me at all times. It was terrible.

it’s because if the trap does not despawn fast, Sapper will be too OP, it’s already OP as it is now
Trap can be used for various task, like aggro mobs, push mobs back or just for damage. All the trap hit multiple target multiples times with high damage, use detonate with claymore for both damage from claymore and detonates.
I never use conceal though, maybe it’s usable in pvp
I only take 1 circle of Sapper in iCBT2 and its skills were my main damage dealer for me until I get wugushi lol (R2 I take QS)

For me the problem are the prices of the traps early game, however I think more late game when silver isn’t a big deal everything should be fine
