Is WIZ3 KINO3 be good/decent for PVP,PVE?

First I want to thank you bcoz u helped me a lot to decide and second say DAMN you bcoz Im really confused now xD nah just kidding
Im Wizz>cryo now lv 50 and decided to follow ur build but I loved the idea of 50%+ dmg from wizz 3 and surespell(that works with PP and POle right?) , but I love cryo and think his skills r more fun and useful than wizz…
So my question is, should I follow ur path or remake a char without cryo?
Wiz3>psy3
IM not that happy to start again but if u say that REALLY worth it and Im rly gonna regret it otherwise, why not…
PLS ANSWER ME IM IN A DRAMA HERE =D
PS: logged in just for it, btw sorry about my english =D

As soon as monsters start having high HP (130, 145 dungeons, etc, as well as 140+ maps) your magic missile barely does damage to them and you need the big spells. If you have Wiz3 Linker, you’ve shot yourself in the foot.

Your choice, both are valid builds, if you go Wiz>Cryo>Psycho, you get the ice wall + pp combo early on.

I went Wiz3 Psy3 (will be soon~ just a few more levels), and its really fun but PP is a bit hard to use in some situations (some monsters cancel out your PP even with Surespell, lots of bosses move around or will interrupt with a knockback or push that interrupts your PP even with surespell, its a bit annoying) but it its really strong.

wiz3 > psy2 > necro2

good?

can someone say what is viable weapon for wiz kino at lvl 120? people say arde dagger adds damage even if its not fire porperty is that true? if so, should i go for arch rod + arde or try get wizard staff or what

Arch Rod + Arde Dagger!

Arde Dagger increases all damage output.

are u definitely sure about that though? maybe theres better option? is this 168 bonus even worth anything

well, since Arde Dagger is lvl 75 req and you are at 120 lvl your damage will be increased a little less than if you got the dagger in some level around 75. But it still increases your damage.

On level 170 you can pick this one:

And you can take a look in the next link to search about daggers that are avaiable in the game:

yeah i get that, i am just asking if archrod + arde will provide me significant boost to dps compared to, for example, wizard staff or something.

IMO Arch Rod + Arde will do more damage than WizStaff. But I didn’t make any tests and can’t confirm for sure.

need more opinions on that… throwing 1m away for +100 dmg might not be best idea.

yeah, you are right… it is better you gather some other opinions before waste 1m

But I have hope that IMC will do wonders with this change on Team Storage and my Arde will be reusable by alt chars

bump bump bump!!! important stuffff

Sora_xP linked you to a complete database of all items.
Look up a level 120 staff and a 120 rod, and make your own decisions.

I’m on Wiz 3 Kino 1 and so far this build doesn’t seem that good on dungeon bosses… especially the Lv 100+ party missions where the entire thing is a series of bosses after bosses.

For PP you have to be channeling in melee range, but dungeon bosses will knock you down with most of their hits. Once interrupted there goes my DPS for the next 10+ seconds. I rarely manage to pull off the entire PP duration. Doesn’t matter if I’m PP’ing it up their back ***, but I’ll get knocked down as soon as it does an AoE. On the other hand, I see Elementalists in my party just cast their big spells one by one from a distance with ease.

Also, if you solo queue and end up in a party without cleric… well if you plan to PP better have lots of HP pots since you will be hit often.

i really dont understand whyats the problem with wiz3 rofl. magic missle is easily best skill in the game. and i havent had trouble with any boss in the game so far, and i am 120. i play solo 100%.

Ok, So I played my Wiz 3 Kino 3 to 220 and my opinions about it are:

Soloing and questing: Excellent. A lot of CC in short CD, you can bully most monster around even elite one with huge HP pool

Dungeon: Great for mobbing because of good CC. Mediocre for bosses but dungeon bosses are easy and Fully channel PP will do the job

Mission and World Boss: Atrociously weak by yourself. You won’t stay there channeling your stuff long enough to make a good contribution, Boss either move or knock you around. Need clerics for SW and cyro for Ice Wall combo to be mildly effective

Group grinding: Okish, high sp consumption. Good damage but not as great as Ele 3. Good CC but not as efective as Tree from Cyro 3 or Support from Chrono.

Overall, it is like a jack of all trade build. Good at most things excluding boss fight. SP consumption is quite high.

Agree with 1-3 but i found this build is really great for group grinding too. Ele relies on a single Memecloud and Ice tree from cryo has 50s cd while our PP and GP can kill + cc a whole pack of mobs in a single cast. .

The biggest problem is boss fights. I’m thinking of either warlock for pure dmg or featherfoot for debuff (decay, curse, GP) at rank 7 to improve this.

Lanceis im on the same road, could you please tell whats your stats distributions, how many did u put on CON?

Yeah, mines 200 now, i did a 190 dungeon run with me and two swords/two archers. They started out complaining no healer, but by alternating gravity pole and raise the damage we took was cut down enough that we only needed to rest a couple of times.

it feels like some kind of ‘rogue mage’, stunlocking things, being great at solo, being very useful cc in groups.

The damage it outputs is high with quick cast, but not super high, its certainly a dps class, but its a support/dps class. Against bosses gravity pole sniping and magic missile are what you do. If you have a cleric then you can PP from safety zone to good effect.

Overall im quite happy with it. The rank7+ circles should be used to enhance your burst or single target damage output to make fighting bosses better. Both rank7 classes are good at this. Im going FF because i saw a video of that build and raise+ blood sucking looks nice. Though im sure warlock is a solid choice as well, it just seems a shame to go warlock when it looks like you can viably go featherfoot, since not many builds can do FF well.
