Is ToS FPS optimized yet?

Hello there, first of all, i already looked at the patch notes but found nothing about this topic, maybe im a bad searcher.
Its been a while since i last played ToS, i really liked the game but had to quit after 1 or 2 months because of the FPS drops, were extremely annoying, can someone told me if they have fixed that? Can i run the game at least at 40 FPS in crowded areas? in boss fights? if they fixed that i will get back to play.
I know my PC is good enough to run this game, i can play witcher 3 in high quality at 60FPS.

Thank to everyone beforehand.

nope it’s worse than before.

Until the day that they can magically change the engine to run on atleast 2 cores, you probably won’t get your wish.

Realistically, it can actually happen, but I doubt IMC has the manpower to actually make it happen anytime soon.

Thanks a los to Dinos and to chillcross, seems like i will need to wait more and get back in several month to see hows it going T.T

my fps is 15-20, IMO its playable.

I think playable is at leas 30 in crowded areas, how can you do big pvp if the FPS will drop to 15?, or have an enjoyable boss fight with 15 FPS?

You can do it, if you’re not a casual scrub who can only play in optimal conditions

I think i just got used to playing with low fps on my old crappy laptop xD.

So you want them to use DX12 and vulkan. Now that would be good for this game.

its fine for me, but i have a “quite good” PC
but there are addons that help ALOT with fps

Which addons help increase your FPS? o_O

Hey, Vulkan’s streamlined enough to process what this game needs. It’s just I don’t see it happening anytime soon.

duno the name, theres one that remove some efects, and that increase fps

I haven’t seen anything like it in Addon Manager, if you could find the name for it I would be really grateful :open_mouth:

aki sera in youtube uses it

it’s ok i guess

Thats not a crowded place :stuck_out_tongue:

still ok i guess

Problem is ToS depends too much on the CPU, and only uses 1 core. The workaround would be to overclock the hell out of your CPU, and some of the graphic rendering moves to the GPU if you have one.

The real solutions? Let the graphic engine use all the available CPU cores, and force GPU rendering. Off loading to GPU would give graphic card users a huge FPS boost, and using all cores would give i7 users enough to play smoothly.
