Is the punji stake combo still possible?

Recently made a sapper and I was trying out punji stake to see if I could get multiple hits with the knockdown attribute. Every time I’ve used it, it has only proc’d once, even if the enemies appear to be passing by each other.

I’ve seen a bunch of YouTube videos of it working by itself, but has it been nerfed? Is it necessary to have circling now or is there some other kind of setup necessary to get it to activate?

From before, multihit occurs when mobs bounce into each other(with help of walls).
But I can’t pull off punji stake multiple hits anymore after combat change so I assume it got fixed.
