Is Swordsman the worst PVP class?

Featherfoot skills are actually nice for pvp. Only if they are enabled there lol

A pvp swordsman must have

corsair for hook
or cata 3 for mobility and rush

swordsman 2 is sh it if you have no mobility from cataphract or hook from corsair (basically this is why the top pvp swordsman build and the top shinobi build is a joke).

Barbarian’s stun is not that reliable. Pain barrier+Pouncing is the only reliable skill from barbarian to TBL.

TLDR basically take one circle of corsair if you want to pvp or if you want to salvage your swordsman 2 then take 1 circle of corsair or 3 circles of cataphract.

Dont believe in the bullshits of the top pvp swordsman build that swordsman 2 is the only thing needed for pvp .

If you use any skill that is not pistol shot or keel hauling, iron hook is canceled. So yeah, it basically disables yourself along with your enemy. I will just ignore the fact that shield corsair doesn’t exist for now.

Sleep = 15 seconds
Stone shot = 7 seconds stun 0 cd
Full draw = 10 seconds bind
Raise = 10 seconds bind

All of those casters can move + cast other skills on top of them. Fair isn’t something I need to concern with iron hook

nope, you can use any skill as long as you don’t move.

Aren’t you forgetting that all swordman skills are melee and can’t reach 1/3 of hook range? Standing still is like asking wizard “hey wizard I’m a sitting duck please roast me”

Even with variety of builds. Archer and swordsman is both weak in pvp. Cata Swordie is one of the swordsman build that can at least go ham in pvp. Archer? yeah, once you miss a skill you will gonna be killed. Both of this class is almost non-existent too in TBL rankings.

that cc is not rank 10 , full draw and heavy shot not working with pain barrier , stone shoot,fulldraw,heavy shoot , can blocked/miss too , hook range and aoe is huge , catch three people make them disabled cannot do anything , how can they fight back ? your party have enough time for kill all of them , except your party is a full con tanker , try play corsair , you will know hook is very powerfull CC because no counter for blocking that skill

Swordsman that aren’t cataphract are but now sword its are the best class in pve so it doesn’t really matter

[/quote]Yeah, hook is powerful alright? That’s why there are 0 corsairs in top 100 PvP

Most of the time you are lucky if you can catch 2 people, as they need to stand close to each other, and none of their team mates can CC you while you are a sitting duck.

Also pain barrier does not stop stone shot.

And archers don’t miss, they have bonus accuracy just as they level up. And magic CC don’t miss or get blocked.

If you want to see what is powerful, go and see some top ranker wiz - cryo 2 - kino 3 - warlock. Magnetic force -> raise -> pole of agony -> psychic pressure -> GG

There are 6 archers and 2 swordmen in top 100 PvP in Telsiai, so archer is a bit better than swordman, but is still trash

Who in their right mind would hook at distance where

when they neither have the right gap closer or good teamwork in the bloody random matchup. Hook’s attribute covers a good range once it jumps to the next target easily disabling 2-3 in one good aim. It rest with your party where or not they have good/fast response after your disable.
Unless you are:
A.Hop2/3>Sair with LongStride
B.Barb3>Sair with Pouncing
C.Rode2/3 with either ShieldCharge/Slithering
D.Sair>Ninja to hide and Hook at pointblank
to close the gap cos’ Keel is not a good plan since it will break Hook duration.

Please try those in real battle to see how ridiculous it is.

Use bash or long stride first and run up and hook them in melee range.
Long stride even knocks clerics out of safety zone.

Swordsmen are not viable in 5v5 at all. It’s too much of a wizard and cleric cluster****.
Another problem in 2v2 is that clerics do way too much damage. On top of being invulnerable all the time by cycling safety zone/mackangdal/revenged sevenfold/ausrine/stone skin/sterea trofh they kill people in seconds with effigy, that broken one inch punch bleed, and incineration

Mate, if I can catch them with the crappy animation of bash and long stride, I don’t even need to use hook. I can just restrain them to death

Isn’t that the whole point? Swordman can’t do 5v5, and can’t do 2v2

pet can stun swordie during cyclone;
not a thing swordie can do while u fly;
…and many many more

and also PVE…

Swordie can only kill people with bad builds, seriously.

  • Swordie can’t touch wizards (dark theurge, subzero shield, raise, sleep etc)
  • Swordie can’t touch clerics (heal, safety zone, blood letting etc)
  • Swordie can’t touch archers (full draw, stone shot, evasion, broadhead, snipe, cannon shot etc)

Yes pouncing ignore dark theurge, but that’s 100 seconds cd and very specific to barb 3
