I honestly think Swordsman is the worst pvp class there is in this game. Comparing it to wizard, archer, and cleric. What do you guys think?
if you want pvp chose cata3 or corsair, you need that class for pvp , i think the weakest is archer because they HP is so low , 2 vs 2 , just hook them , let your party kill , 19 second CC from corsair is strong
swordman only have 2 route. corsair or cataphract
archer have more combination
it is combination of scout or QS (stealth or blocking objects) + dmg (fletcher, SR, musket)
but the main problem is actually just “melee sux”.
look at monk. they are cleric and they sux compared to other cleric.
once melee wizard come out, u can read about how much they sux.
as a swordsman> highlander C3, I can only say…
The weak follows the path the strong creates…
please keep following the set path, I will keep searching and creating my own
At least monks can heal and safety zone themselves. Swordmen just go in and die.
Being a swordman lowers your chance to win regardless of your team composition. A swordman relies on opponent composition to win, which is kinda stupid if you ask me.
You can solve HP issues with more CON. You can’t solve melee with anything.
Hook CC yourself as well btw, you need your team mate to be better than their team mate to win.
oh brave one, please make a lancer with no cata. For science.
bestow ur wisdom upon this coward who dare not ruin lv280 character.
mmm, I could do that, but I still know much of lancer…
will need to research and experiment on combos too…
so in a year I will have it…
please do, like seriously.
i would like to see creative builds, and i personally wish my grinding is more efficient to do it myself… but it is just not… so i am here.
there,I would put 1 on all skills and then test them or watch videos before hand…
that’s why I don’t put skill points
This is a PVE build. Doesn’t work on pvp.
Good luck killing people with stabbing.
assumptions make a fool of yourself…
No, it’s to assume is to make an ass out of u and me
ah! so that’s how it goes…
hmmm that build… might be really tough in PvP
atm pvp is CC or avoid CC or 1 shot some one
you’ll miss out on movement speed, CC, some other stuff
BUT you can make it work for you in some situations
it’s wont just flat out lose all the time.
If you have a strong feeling you can make it work, go for it.
that skill just make you cannot do normal moving, but still can skill or C block , gap closer frenzied slash from Murmillo ,stealth shinobi , or ranged skill like pistol shoot , i think it is fair 15-19 second rank 10 cc , if you can move with that CC it is not fair ,
It’s all situational.
Big problems for swordsmen would be stuff like Subzero Shield, Raise, Magnetic Force and the skill ranges for the swordsman and the fact that they can’t heal themselves and their attacks aren’t target type(for the most part).
I play 2v2 a lot, since 5v5 lags for me. I play catagoon. The only times I lose really badly is when the enemy has lots of CC, or full dex Archers with lots of evasion.
Low dex/evasion archers usually get rekt. If the low dex fletcher fails his bleed, or the hunter’s pet gets distracted it’s a lot easier,
The only cleric that really does damage is a Bokor, but they’ll need protection to pull that off properly vs cata. Kabbalist is tough if they have a wizard teammate with summons.
Any wizard that doesn’t have cryomancer with subzero shield with a long duration, or psychokino is usually easier to beat.
If the enemy doesn’t have certain things going for them, they can’t beat swordsmen… at least as far as 2 v 2 is concerned. I might’ve missed a few, but swordsman is in an awkward spot. In some cases they’re OP, in others they’re really weak.
If psychic pressure, raise and subzero shield get their durations nerfed some in pvp, sword will have a much easier time.
Featherfoot is a melee wizard
that explain everything
