Is swordman really bad at PvP?

I saw a picture that had 3 dragoons on Top 50 PVP. Other was cleric/wizzards…

Ok, nothing about archers. They still needs buffs.

But swordmans are so great with skills that stun/bleed. High DMG, a lot of burst ( thinking on dragoon path ), and still aren’t so good at pvp.

What do you think? The already builds created was not so good? Focus on PvE? I heard something about “Sword x3, Cata x3, Dragoon”, but swordman 3 sucks to me… But… Wizzards that foccus un pve still have a nice time against swordmans…
Even clerics support.

Maybe the builds? Maybe the balance? Maybe… what’s going on?? i love this class and i love pvp… :frowning:

Obviously Swordsman3 is a bad choice outside of pvp, but that’s the price you pay for being really good at pvp.

If you want to be good at both, play Ele3 or Priest3-PD. That’s just how pvp is balanced now.

archers they deal more DPS than wizards PvE. the only problem with archers is that the only can be physical DPS which can be evaded and blocked. While you cannot evade or block magic from cleric and wizards.

@Divini - ok, is a bad choice outside pvp, but think about that: for me, nothing more interesting than pvp battle. I really love fighting. I don’t like so much wizzard/cleric classes, i think they are just… meeeh. i want to do a swordman to pvp, thats the point…

@Karjalainen - that only problem makes the archer’s lifes so sad. stone skin from priest brokes everything. I really wish that time when archers rules on pvp. they have so many builds to follow… their tree is so flexible…

Well, i think the choice is sword x3 cata x3 drag.

But i’m really confused in how can i get 200 with just sword 3 cata 3 XD
Maybe impossible solo grind/boss…

but its not a bad choice for pve lol. i’m going swordisman c3>high>corsair>doppel
and i really want to use restrain for mobbing. u can stun lock players with cyclone, u can do the same with mobs.

Do you think Swordsman 3 would function well in a situation such as:

Swords 3 > High 2 > Fencer 2?

also Cathapracts has 40% chance attribute to IGNORE BLOCK rate with 2H Spears. Which is why Cathapract not Dragoon is the best PvP swordsman build. Dragoon is just the natural progression for Cataphracts.

In skills that deliver multishots, does restrain works in every single one of them?
Because fencer could overcome the lack of aoe and the ignore block rate with its high evasion, dont it?

i don’t think so…

if thats true, restrain could be one of the mostest op skill for cc in the game.
i think cataphract’s 40% chance ignore block is something like the “cake’s cherry”, due his high mobility to penetrate on backline.

theres no 40% chance to ignore block lol its +40% block penetration, its 40% of YOUR block pen. it actually doenst help against the OP stone skin

I could be wrong because I have not done pvp.
But I heard Swordsman 3 is garbage because of dispeller.
If you want pvp, cathapract is the only option. Corsair also considered not bad.
But still compare to other classes, swordman is really bad.

and this guy is BAD in pvp, he only win because restrain
i’m going swordsman c3> highlander >corsair >doppel c2 for the best 2H sword build ever =)

just dont forget that Plague doctors have team imunity to CC
and stone skin is OP and everybody will block a lot

thats true… so, with pd in the other side, swordmen’s restrain become useless? still have stone skin.

guys, so the question: is swordman really bad at pvp? considering PDs in the enemy team, ofc
