Keep in mind that restrain is completely countered by PD’s bloodletting, so that’s why you barely see any in the top 50, especially those using restrain.
Is swordsman bad at pvp? Not really, rather there are certain classes that are just pure hard counters and classes like PD that need a nerf.
In a good team, where your with a PD, you actually can perform really well depending on your build.
Priest are also part of the problem due to Stone Skin.
the only build from swordsmen that can counter it are 2H spear Cataphracts

Yes, it;s based on your current Block Penetration. If you did not invest in Spirit… Guess what you get?
A really pitiful number that will not make any real difference.

Good luck with your STR-DEX Cataphract who has 10 more Block Penetration than anyone else.
At the current state of class balance, swordsmans are way weaker than Clerics and Wizards and are not that enjoyable to play in PvP. But you should remember that PvP in ToS is in alpha stage right now and many changes are yet to came.

maybe there is another builds to do without sword3 cata3… something like high3 corsair2
