Is STR becoming too weak?

Only if you spread your stat.

If you go FULL STR the curve starts adding really fast. Don’t forget that each new cap you can reach a new tier of 1:x. You’ll understand once each stat 2 point invested starts adding 10 str

If Dex is your higher stat you’ll eventually get better go CON than str.

Go farm then, and stay farming.

I’m still waiting for your ‘oh so glorious holy IMCsafe pure Con build’ suggestion.

My 2 cents “stats don’t/won’t save you, invuls do/will”.

Is it just me, or are all these “dex has ALWAYS been better” promoters “expert noobs” who have ignored all the math some people have graciously provided?

Er no Archers have it plenty easy to cap crit with moderate dex @_@…

Off hand + main hand combo just need around 220 dex to cap and that’s with only 2 ella cards included. You don’t really need to totally cap either.

Including new BIS on 3 slots 2hand it’s sufficient as well. Just look at the spare 50 crit rate they give lol.

Just around 85%-90% is fine since majority of the time you will be running around with monstrance or quicken.

No matter if it is dex or str, are stats beside con are underwhelming due to the gears and gems being overpowered. Dont forget gems were revamped on itos, red gems lvl 5 give 180 max attack. All stats should be reworked, str could give a decent bonus of p attack every 20 or 30 points ( i mean like 100 of bonus to competing with the gears) and also int. In the current state of the game the chars are super gear dependent.

that be nice…but i think they should balance like this…because new rank 8 content just to hard and is like completely new level.

so when reach rank 8 automatically the stat scaling is change as well…example when in rank 7 1 str = 1 damage…in rank 8 - 1 str = 3 damage…the same is apply on other stat…that way player will have survavility and DPS to kill new mob…

on the gem, maybe they should make new gem drop from new map…like lvl2 red gem…and can only be eq on 270++ eq…or maybe 220…to have restriction for OP low level…

Does anyone forget there is 1 worse stat that STR? yea if you remember… INT give NOTHING except ONLY 1 MAtck
And the fact that full CON elemene (with Animus) deals almost the same damage as High / Full INT elemene while having a huge amount of HP,
Is worse than the current situation of STR vs DEX :frowning:
(Both Deals 1 damage to the new mob thou… lol)

At least STR still give Block Pen for PVP vs CON and Hogmas…
I think they should Give minor Block or Def or HP for taking STR
maybe 5 STR = 1 Def? Or 1 STR = 10 HP? Or 3 STR = 1 Block?
so people can take “Full STR” without worrying too much about their survivability
Also rising the monster PDef to the level of the current monster MDef can make STR good again, because DEX with low Skill damage will deal 1 damage
(its too harsh thou…)

Str for swordman should give 100% per rank…
example, lv300 rank8 invested 300str gives 800% , so you get 2400str extra~

that 2400str wont even match 240dex … bwahahah dead balancing

There is a really good war debate on dex vs str in this game…wow…but for me…choose your own stat…whatever makes you happy…for me I am more str got 400 now…I just get my lack of crit and accuracy in gems and equips…I dunno…maybe I will reset now and balance my str and dex🤔…evasion is nothing now in this game…

str only good if the game have +1000cri rate equipment

coz cri rate losses efficiency as you level up

500cri rate would be good for rank7, but not rank10

Now my Full STR with green gems Reiter is crap, and i can’t even reset because imc don’t wanna sell reset stat potion T.T

Your SR will deal exactly the same damage as before. It’s definitely not crap (well, aside from the fact that full STR for an SR is not really good in general)

The thing he is pointing out is not the optimal setup. Much better put that news red gems and pump it the dex because the green gems doesn’t get changes

They didn’t get changes because they didn’t need them to justify using them.

I know what he meant… But if he really cared about being optimal, he wouldn’t have gone full str in the first place anyway. I too have an SR and will probably use the stat pot I was saving for quite a while after the change comes (and I actually have the gems ready for the change)

depends on the class hoplites, SRs, and rogues benefit from str
it’s pretty useless on my lancer because initiate.

Except many of the % skills for musketeer for example are 1 hit.

If a skill has no % modifier on it, but still hits 10x that pretty much has a 1000% modifier on it. 30x, 3000% modifier.

Now if a skill is single hit, no modifier and has no CC or effects attached its pretty bad… but how many skills are like that?

Man,you’re saying that STR becomes weak, but in reality it’s rather the other way around and INT gets considerably weak. High level monsters have low DEF and high MDEF, giving most monsters a way higher resistance to magic.

The thing the developers should do is to actually give the mobs a really high block rate that favors investing points into STR rather than making STR even stronger, because, let’s face it, STR already gives 4 substats (weight limit, attack, critical attack and block penetration) while DEX only gives 3 and INT is still only adding 1 stat (magic attack).

If I had to chose which stat to balance, I’d rather look at INT and SPR first (and maybe at CON too) before doing sth to STR or DEX that could break the game easily…

If u make physical atk undogeable and unblockable, i am ok with str losing block pen and crit atk.

Int is weak because magic is pretty broken.

Now their fix is crazy mdef lol.

A designer not doing his job. Or the previous designer left and passed down all his s**t.
